Same, I was there too and it meant so much to listen to him playing it. Just how much he cared about Chet and how much his music meant to him. I really felt all that straight to my heart, and just the memory of it now is making me teary.
What's that quote? Either you're a Tommy Emmanuel fan or you've never seen him? That man is so amazing. He does just transport you to a different and happier place. Gets me through the worst moments in life just following the next YouTube link. And yes, the live experience is breathtaking! Nothing like him in the world!! This has become my new favorite. Thanks for posting it! bb
Beautiful Tommy Tune! Hey Mark,..did you go see T.E. and Monte Montgomery in Ft. Worth I think on the 3rd? I told my buddy who works for Nike Golf to get tickets and go see 2 of the best in the world,..Montgomery is from another planet,...so fast it's crazy, especially on a Alvarez acoustic. Played in the Edwin Watts Invitational in San Destin last weekend, had a blast,we played music Friday night at Edwin's party, only did 10 tunes, then the house band took over, they said we did good :~) Tim
Nice finish at Diamante,..I did that Nationwide tournament in 04' when I ran the True Temper Van,...never been to Hot Springs before,...nice place. Those were great seats in Norman,...I have to see TE before I croak,..someday!
Hi Mark, thanks for posting this. I´m not a Tommy fan, but when he plays the guitar, instead of showing off, he´s kind of "magic". Tommy truly is one of the most versatile, unique and inspiring players.
If you ever have the opportunity to see him live you will be a fan for life. He has a way of transporting the audience to a very happy place. While his recordings are very good, the live experience is spiritual.
Last April I saw him live at the Quasimodo in Berlin. It was a great concert and I enjoyed every minute. If he ever comes to Berlin again, I´ll be there.
superb rendition, great arrangement. Curiously, no capo on 3rd fret as usual?

Hello,
No, I didn't make it to Ft. Worth. There were a couple of guys at the workshop Sunday that went. They said it was great.
I had a fourth place finish in our Section Championship at Diamante (Hot Springs).
You can see from this vid that I had pretty good seats for the Norman show. Great concert.
