  • this wone is my favorite

  • less than 24 hour to Competition and I am here looking @ Tomoe Nage!

  • @basonelson did you won?

  • @Romaniandick1994 Nope LOL end up with an injured arm

  • That's weird, I have been taught a very different version.

  • why didn't the Uke use his right hand for a better break fall?

  • No the Uke is not being hurt . Yes a smaller guy can use it on a bigger guy this is actually much better smaller vs bigger ,it is one of my "big guy throws " .

Arkadi is an excellent instructor and has produced many VERY GOOD players , What you have to understand is that not all the throws you see on youtube are always the favorite techniques of the instructor showing them . This is

however a good method of yoko tomonage, but there are different variations Rey Garcia NYC BJJ Judo Instructor

  • the end of the throw is not really good

  • I wonder if that move would work, if the kid in all white - used it against the bigger guy tossing him ?

  • Man he is pulling that kid like a rag doll

  • That Uki doesn't know how to breakfall.

  • is he good or what?

  • I'm 200 pounds and will this technique work on someone that is 400+ pounds? If I was 100 pounds, will this work on 250+ pounds? I wonder....

  • Uke's breakfalling is fairly piss poor

  • It really is.....his back and leg hit the ground first. Just look at his face, he's all like: D:

  • @fitey43 in uke's defense he is getting hurled by a guy who is much larger

    David Yefroyev

  • Good Job, David!!!

  • at 1.56 he screws up by letting go, but instantly corrects it great natural technique

  • Simple but deadly.. really good, its really easy to understand..

but i'm not doing judo but im practice jujitsu,

Jujitsu and judo hava a similar technique and name like tomonage, tai otoshi and so on.. keep the good work :)

  • your 6th dan?

  • Just learned this technique tonight for the first time. You're videos are excellent and definately promote GOOD Judo. Please keep them coming!

  • pobre uke, quedo un poco sacudido pero en si la tecnica se explica muy bien, no siendo necesarias las palabras. no manejo el idioma del video pero aun asi me quedo claro.

  • Can anyone please translate this?

  • I can try, BUT IT WILL NOT BE PERFECT. " Poor Uke, You use his Judogi a lot for this technique. You explain the technique very well, even if I can't understand what your talking about, because of the langage your using." It's not a perfect translation, but it's the best I can offer ^^. Great video, I loved it.

  • Thank you!

  • @balagezyan

Here is what BabelFish came up with:

"poor man uke, I am a little shaken but in if the technique it is explained very well, not being necessary the words. handling the language of the video but even so I am not myself clear." LOL ^_^

  • he says: "poor uke, he've been a bit shaked but the technique it's well explained, without being necessary any word. I can't understand the language in the video but it wasn't necessary, all was clear"

  • This throw don"t cause so big damageThe throw I fear is Sode because sometimes Tori doesn"t let go one of your sleeves and you can"t do a good ukemi.

  • damn, I feel sorry for these guys getting thrown around! xD

  • part of the deal in Judo.

  • That's why I'm kinda reluctant to join. I can take a punch but a dislocated shoulder? No thanks. :P

  • These are supposed to promote Judo. Not scare people. Actually, one of the first things we teach is how to defend oneself against injuries while in action. These guys know how to fall and prevent themself from any injury, but sometime injuries happen.

  • good to know

  • getting thrown is fun once you know how to fall correctly. its much better than getting punched. go take some judo classes. they are a blast...

  • I'd love to but my local Judo dojo is closed. I'll join as soon as it opens. I'm doing MMA right now and I getting kinda worried about my head...

  • i can understand this fo sure look..

if you doing judo technics in mma your gonna kick asses you know most people in mma are skilled aliitle bit in all

good in all great in nothing...

you know with your judo techniqe your are very special;)
