  • These are things made in China...not Japan but the FIT was in fact built in CHINA!! LOL!

  • I personally like smaller cars. They're easier to drive.

  • Hi

  • this is a great well made video, make more like this!!!

  • excellent video.. thankyou!

  • I feel this review comparing the 08 to 09 model, was very well excuted.

  • Unlike other car reviews, this one makes me want to replay it

  • Driving the Fit is like driving a motorcycle. Prius engine is similar but you rarely redline it, but I think you red line the Fit all the time (only 90HP). So that conventional 200,000 miles engine life may not be true for the fit. You lucky it is a Honda engine, Fit owners.

But does it matter? since it is so small? I mean combustion to Al composition/density?

Now what kind of oil is best use for this kind of vehicle? Bridgestone Kendall oil, everybody.

  • lol he said ass-o-meter

  • i only have one question: does the honda fit handle better than my 1971 ford pinto? i would consider trading it in, but the pinto is a real chick magnet.

  • They said it b/c Asian guys have it small that is why they build it small. American cars tend to be bigger, and they value bigger trunk. Lol.

But when you are inside that when it count. That why it is love by everyone. Ahahaha.

  • they should make them look like the old hatchbacks

  • I cant understand why the car companies still using air conditioning compressors and alternators attached to the gas motor, drawing performance and extra miles per gallon instead of using lithium ion batteries and solar panels beside other sources for auto recharge those batteries and give us a smarter car and more fuel efficient. The air conditioning could be all electric giving us more control over it.

  • @mctfzipmail "I cant understand why the car companies still using air conditioning compressors and alternators attached to the gas motor" Because it's easier and requires Far less parts, and makes sense for the engine to charge it's self?

The Reason why they don't implement solar panels and lithium batteries into every car is simply because it's to expensive. And may cause reliability problems. It's far quicker to charge up a car with an alternator than it is with a solarpanel.

  • @mctfzipmail ONe of the cool ideas though that you did mention is a variable electric motor charging the AC system. But it would have to be linked directly to the alternator, Which it might also ad more weight and cost, instead of a traditional simpler belt driven system. Since newer cars have become FAR more efficient than the older ones int he past. Turning on the AC in your car doesn't really effect your MPG that much anymore. Especially when you are on the freeway.

  • I love my Fit Sport! I get about 42mpg and its a very comfortable ride!

  • Omg cockblock!!

  • Actually bitching about the dot over the "I"...WOW! Now that is a whole new level of nitpicking lol.

  • @scarabmango what else is there to bitch about? The breaking distance is the only bad thing about this car.

  • Assometer.... good one.

  • which gets better mpg the old or new one?

  • LOL

    "Yes, just like tokyo drift"

  • yes but that price dose not include mats and cargo tray and front deflector... also there is the rust and corrotion package worth 698.00 CND AND your 6 Year Warrenty at 1245.00 CND sports start at 18 and we got our Base starting at 16-5 witch did not include winterising and mats and the like...

  • I love these new fit.Wish honda would come out with a mugen type R or at least Si version with say 25-50 more hp and the usual suspension/brake/exterior upgrades.

  • hey yo, its got vtec! must be puttin down at least 500 hp to the wheelz!

  • i have the 2008 version. La lang! LOL

    good review!

  • IM BUYING MY FIRST CAR, so fricken exited! I've been studying on my favorite cars.. should i get a Honda Fit, Nissan Versa or a Toyota Prius 3rd Gen.

~PS: i know toyota has this recall and such, but i sitll like them. the fix has been implemented anyways (hopefully D=)

  • look at the new Fiesta, it drives better and the toyota fix isnt really a fix, i dont think toyota even knows what the hell is really wrong

  • @EatmyDust1311 I'm a Honda fan no doubt, I drive an Si but i do agree the Fiesta is a much better buy

  • @desimunda116 a convert? your the first ive seen yet! ordered your fiesta yet?

  • @EatmyDust1311 nahh i just got my Si so I won't be looking for another car for a while but still I'll admit besides the Si and the Accord V6 Coupe w/ 6speed MT, Honda doesn't really have much going for it

  • @desimunda116 motorcycles and boats? nobody can beat thier crf range. at least, until ford starts making motorcycles : )

  • @EatmyDust1311 well yeah but im talking specifically cars

  • I don't like the second gen fit. It looks like it has a wing window. The first gen was so awesome I was prepared to pay for one strictly on overtime money.

  • lol he said cockblock

  • @WIGTRON5000 he DID, he DID say cockblock!!!

  • If you wants 100% from Japan go with Mitt..Evo Lancer , You get a everyday car and a race car the same time, most importantly reliable too. Go ahead ask somebody own one's. Go ahead.....

  • @07NY1 dude 2 competely different cars. 2 completely different price ranges. I am going to buy a fit in a year not because its fast but because its cheap for a brand new car and reliable. When I get my Z06, that will be my every day rce car. ANd I already own a 370z... obviously the Z is gonna get traded in though.

  • it is great mate, had a 07 but we were in a hood speed side impact, saved my fauthers life, side airbags did their job and felt nothing, the reinforcements really kept the car out of the passenger but any one in the rear would have been gone though.... and guess what, just got the 2010 fit :P, tidewater, really great so far and love it!

  • This is by far the best review of any car that ive ever seen.

  • Nissan's and Honda's rock!

Yeah I know they are not made in the US but all the cars made in the US right now are shit. I dont know about you all but when I buy a car I want it to last. I dont mean just a few years but far more. I have a 97 Nissan pickup with over 160k and I only had to replace the starter. They are easy as hell to work on too. My next car is going to be a Nissan or Honda going to get one on my 25th b-day next month. Insurance rates go down a bit when you turn 25. :)

  • @atgskater14 the real question is, why you hate them so much? because they are small? WTF man, WTF!

When it comes to reliability nothing can touch the imports. In fact I still have my 96' Rav4 from like 15 years ago working just fine. Not even a single problem with the engine or anything while I have a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP from the same year too with transmission problems and that's just the beginning. To fix that car I'll need like $5,000... American cars are like the worst in the long run.

  • @Wiimaniac ford has surpassed honda in reliability. my sister bought a new 07 corrola, after a month the ecu needed to be replaced. her old camry needed 2 transmissions. have you seen any new american car? they are better than what the japs make now

  • @EatmyDust1311 ya okay i have an acura legend that has 400k + miles with no problems. just change the oil every 3k it still runs perfect

  • @poop4256 well good for you. i never said anything bad about honda, thier cars are the only thing they make i wouldnt buy. i actually have a few of ther dirtbikes, including a 1974 xr75 i learned to ride on along with most of my family, and its still running on 95% original parts

  • @EatmyDust1311 "my sister bought a new 07 corrola" That isn't made by honda nor is it even considered a new car. Sound like it's more used than new in my book. And it's hard to tell What the last owner did in terms of taking care of it. Some people trash it or do very little in terms of maintenance.

"have you seen any new american car? they are better than what the japs make now"

Chrysler is DEFINITLY not better in ANYWAY, they still pump the dated lines. Ford drastically improved.

  • @EpiDemic117 she bought the car new in 07.

chrysler is the worst of the bunch, new cars are coming soon enough though.

hondas reliablity and build quality has fallen drastically in the past few years acording to every 3rd party mag or auto reviewer. ford now has the highest quality of any non luxury brand according to JD power. and you are the one comparing new cars to old fords... i have a new ford f150 raptor and the interior is acclaimed by all as best in class

  • @EatmyDust1311 3rd party is and always HAS been full of shit. That's why they are in 3rd place when it comes to opinion. I went to the honda dealer the other day to check out the newer ones compared to some of the older ones in the past. All i see are improvements. In every area, Dimensions are slightly scaled up, and the Powerplants inside them somehow each decade or so produce even MORE power with the same displacement. So whoever said the quality is going down needs to check their own facts.

  • @EpiDemic117 every magazine says that hondas reliablity is not as good as it used to be, at least in terms of overall build quality.

  • @EatmyDust1311 But i doubt they've surpassed Honda in terms of making rugged small reliable engines. Fords trucks are almost unbeatable. We were towin some shit the other day with one trailer hooked in the back full of wood and two Honda trail 90's in the bed going home from the ranch. The ride was smooooooth almost all the way. But the interior in that model year was complete garbage. body panels didn't really fit together well and there were annoying gaps. (like mostly all early 00 trucks.).

  • @EatmyDust1311 Alot of the interior resembled that of mostly Tupperware plastic instead of the higher quality Rubbermaid type plastics you'd find in the Hondas and Toyotas. But ford is getting there. Especially with the newer ones boasting in higher quality materials. they shouldn't brag though about it comparing to their other competitors like GM is. They should just stay focused on the product quality and company philosophy.

  • @Wiimaniac i've got nothing with imports and i dont wanna get in your debate guys....but you cant say all american cars arent reliable....

for instance my 1990 jeep cherokee....is 20 years old and has 280 000 km on it and ever since 5 years that i owned it i havent had one single problem ...except maintenance of course

  • @Wiimaniac its because he is a troll and ive seen his ass trolling alot....hes just a hater... a gay newb at best lol

  • @Wiimaniac TRUE THAT!

  • @Wiimaniac Honda is well known for their transmission problems

  • @22sedin What transmission problems i have owned multiple hondas and so have my friends and family from civics, accords, odysseys, and crv no transmission failures or problems

  • @22sedin explain that transmission problem.

  • @22sedin only in hrv

  • yeah because they build that to compete with chevy aveo from america.

  • lol cock blocks

  • attractive? oh please....its a freakin mini-mini van for the gen -y

  • riceboy ripped myridetv's background music

  • ha ha he says cock blocks at 3:22

  • lol i heard that too

    that was pretty funny

  • It's a great car and I'm sure it's reliable. Problem is that it is overpriced for what it is.

  • i think honda fit has ABS as standard which are why its little pricy compare to Nissan Versa ?

fit full load are pretty similar in price compare to full load on Versa i think.

but yea compare to american/korean cars its little expensive, but i dont feel like to use the word overpriced. since these cars last longer, cheaper maintains and less maintains required according to most ppl's oppinion.

  • I don't know about the American prices, but in Canadian dollars, the fully loaded Honda Fit which is the 'sport" trimline is $19,280. The fully loaded Versa $17,398

I do agree with you in terms of comparing them to Korean/American cars. The Hondas and Nissan have less of a chance of giving you serious engine issues in the long run. I still think $20,000 for a subcompact is rather pricy though lol

  • I would drive this... I kind of like the look and if anyone laughs at me, I will just say "whatever, this thing will last years compared to your american car"

  • i see s10s from the 80s all the time american cars tend to last longer than jap cars

  • ha ha great attitude

  • lol I was wrong on this, I actually got a Mazda 3

  • cobalt ss same gas milege better performance

  • dude, its a chevy..dont compare it to something like a respectable company like honda...chevy = fail

  • chev=fail? chevys get better gas milege than these hondas chevy trucks are better than honda trucks chevy cars perform better than hondas hondas are rice i can go all day on how chevys are better than hondas

  • oh OF COURSE!! how could i forget...chevy went bankrupt?....damn man....you got me there!!...chevy are obviously better!....pffftt HONDA FOR THE WIN, INBRED!!

  • honda for the when ok but when your in your little chinkish honda and i pass by in a camaro whitch by the way is made by chevy you can just enjoy my tail lights chevys are better

  • yeah, no thanks buddy...id prefer to not look at a piece of shit camaro...those are the most white trash cars i have ever seen in my life....bar NONE

  • white trash? so you prefer slant eye chink cars i supose

  • if you choose to stick up for white trash shit..aka american cars...aka dogshit camaro's....yes..you are a white trash inbred...get over it inbred..

  • stop replying..i dont give one fuck what you have to say

  • you first Grrrr

  • right because comparing a honda fit with a camarao is totally legit.

  • i was pissed this should be compared with an aveo

  • is that why GM declared bankruptcy?

  • screw you it wasan economic crisis theyve returned with a line up far greater than any thing honda can make Traverse and Equinox>crv malibu >accord siverado.thatn what ever the hell that truck is that honda makes the one that is a blunt copy of the silverado camaro>than all cobalt>honda civic aveo>fit malibu hybrid >insight ...

  • Too little, too late.

Sure there was an economic crisis, but a lot of the best selling Japanese cars are made in North America and Nissan actually opened new plants in the U.S. during the same economic crisis while "The big three" where closing plants and gutting their workforce.

  • @atgskater14

    english please

  • @Jimbeanerss3

Its youtube dose spelling really matter

  • I love Ferraris and Lamborghinis lmao but I can't afford either, so this is what I'm getting :p either this or a Toyota Corolla

  • cobalt ss cobalt malibu impala impala ss focus taraus fusion are all much better cars than this fit or the chinkish corrola and a zr1 is better than a lambo or ferrari

  • lol it cockblocks the turbo.

  • A good model from Honda!

  • What car do you drive? Be honest and let us know... it might REALLY be the gay car because the 09 Fit is a beauty and is the most useful sub-compact car. Don't be jealous your girlfriend drives a better car than you.

  • i have a my mercedes 190D turbo diesel top speed 240km/150mph and my BMW M3 top speed is 260km/162mph am buying tomorrow a new black honda fit/jazz sv and i will get back to you on that.

  • 2006 lariat f150. i have it because i need a truck. my truck is faster and is almost twice as heavy, IMO i think it has far better styling than the fit, the interior is better and overall my truck is a much more versitile/useful car, not to mention its safer. the one thing i give credit to the fit on is gas mileage and it has some cool little features and nick nacks that you would expect from honda. honestly i think the fit looks like a doorstop or a rollerskate. but thats just my opinion

  • WATCH MY NEW NICE VIDEOS ---> theturans

  • great review wow!

and its such a nice car i enjoy the hell out of mine

  • would u suggest a high schooler to drive this

  • well, honestly if you have the money and want to go for it then i dont see why not, but i wouldnt suggest getting a teen a new car! not only are the chances of an accident so much higher but your insurance is going to skyrocket. get a reliable old used car imo.

but that bieng said the honda fit is a great drive, can comfortably fit anything your teen might need for practice or trips with friend or errands and the crash ratings are almost all 5 stars.hope that helped

  • Defienately, unless that high schooler likes loud and fast cars than don't drive a fit.

I have a 09 Fit Sport and a Freshman at a College, but I would have loved to driven this to high school.

  • dont get your hopes up. but its ok theres other ways to race it. FIT FTW!!!

  • just bought a honda fit a few hours ago!!!

pretty nice at first impression. Got it for $12,151 out the door after a $4,500 credit for a clunker !

couldnt believe how quiet it is in neutral (its not even a whisper) cant believe the difference between that and the Jeep i just gave up

  • you are not drifting in a 100hp front wheel drive car. FYL

  • correct me if I'm wrong, but do they call this the Honda Jazz in Australia?

  • Yes, also when I was in Germany I saw it was called Jazz

  • What's sad is you care what the man is driving...

  • hey chester and what do you ride?? oh let me guess, public transportation?

  • My friend has always talked about how "nice" the fit was, but for me, never driving I had no clue. This really shows how nice it really is. Although I'm more old school with my "Del Sol", this car is pretty nice and If I wanted a second car, this would be my fit :D (pun intended)

  • same here!

it would be a nice compliment to any Si shenanigans i'd then be able to do on the side =)

  • I'd take the Fit Sport over the base model. For the Sport trim, you get: - a better looking front grille - side mirror-integrated turn indicators - retractable side mirrors - sideskirts - security alarm - immobilizer - paddle shifters - height adjustable front seats - a more powerful engine. Only drawbacks are no mudguard and standard foglights.
  • Comment removed

  • Oh, almost forgot to add:

    - driver's side sun visor

    - 16 in. wheels

    :)

  • You're wrong, all Fits come with the same engine, regardless of trim. With the sport version, you're paying too much for a Fit. You might as well get the Civic if you're gonna pay that much, since the Civic is much more powerful and is more safe.

  • Well, in other parts of the world, the Honda Fit is known as the Honda Jazz.

And it comes with 2 engines: the 1.3 base trim or the 1.5 Sport trim.

In the UK, they only have the 1.2 base trim and the 1.4 Sport trim.

The 1.5 is standard only in the US.

  • oh ok, that clears it up...I was thinking of the USDM fit.

  • About the cheapest Civic you can get is $20,000...you can get a fully loaded sport for $19,000 with nav..

  • Hmm, not really, the cheapest civic is way cheaper than $20,000. If you can afford to spend $2000 more on a car, the civic is a way better deal, since its R18 is way stronger than the Fit's engine. However, some people still buy the Fit simply 'cause it's smaller and more economical.

  • i thought i also saw that cruise control does *NOT* come standard on the base model. can anyone verify this?

  • Yes. It's true.

Only the Fit Sport has cruise control.

  • its does come standard dont worry.

  • Asian version look better.

  • da new CR-X ?

  • Great reveiw except for the very unprofessional use of "Cockblock". What kind of idiot uses language like that in a professional enviroment??

  • I doubt he even knows what cockblock means

  • Slap a K20 in dat fucker and mann she'll fly haha

  • good

  • That's the first time I heard someone use the word COCKBLOCK when reviewing a car. Nice car though

  • Great car. Mine has 5,000 miles on it. When test driving make sure you pull into the driveway of your home, nose first, slowly. There is a very good chance it will scape. This happens frequently in especially in parking lots. It is a lowrider.

  • this car rocks. all the haters out there are dumb

  • why would anybody wants to buy a car that looks like an egg go cart where for the same price they can get a cooler looking box car like the scion xb even though the scion is heavier ...the gas are close for both.

  • Just becoz u dont like da look doesnt mean da car is bad.

  • did he say cockblock?????

  • I think so lol at 3:20

  • Trust me most people will fit in this car. I have one and it has amazing room on the inside.

  • good car

  • 2007 FIt Sport with a K20a! Now thats something I would consider purchasing!!!!

  • Im 6'4... I want a fit but do you think it will have enough room in it since the seat height isnt adjustable?

  • i think so. But the best way is to visit a Honda or a Car Dealer!!! and sit inside.

  • Very in depth review. Great Job. But damn it Honda, why do you hate the bult-on turbo! Bastards.

  • Why the hell do people want to put turbos on these damn econo boxes??? If you're trying to get some speed...get a real f'ing car!!! I find that this car would be great to do what it's meant to do....and that's to be functional, somewhat spacious, reliable, safe, fuel efficient, and, to a very small degree, sporty for the daily commuter. My only current real complaint of the Fit would be the shape of the door handles.

  • how's the standard sound system in the Sport version?

  • it actually sounds pretty good, as long as you don't wanna thump down the road. it'll please most people

  • I don't think these guys know what "Cock Block" means. Probably just heard it in some conversation and thought " hey I think I'll use that phrase in my review." Good luck getting that exahust manifold "Un cock blocked" so you can get yourself some.. I guess.

  • Japanese still better at building small cars...(sigh)

  • cock block, assometers haha you guys rocked this fucking walk around good job.

  • You know that's a damn good car i would consider owning. Especially when commuting on the free way. nice comfortable. aero dynamic and its like a friggin space ship top off with unbeatable mpg that piece of shit GM cant touch. what more could you ask?

  • Did he say "cock block"?

  • yes dumb ass

  • You're a failure at life.

  • Sorry for your loss.

  • wow really good review. Simple and straight to the point, while being very complete. You guys should review more cars.

  • lolz, they miss the blue pimple on the logo.

  • I bought one after test driving 10 different other cars,I have owned over 130 cars in my life and this one is in the top 5,changed to 91 octane and this thing feels like an Integra Type R's offspring.

  • Did he say Cockblock?

  • yes he even said assometer. That was awesome

  • Great review. Simple and straight foward, no bullshit, and a sense of humor!

  • nice review. very simplpe but fantastic. xD

  • FIT-tastic! ; -)

  • Mto lindo.. ja quero um. heheh. mais alguem sabe dizer se esse modelo vem com computador de bordo?

  • This guy does a great review! No nonsense. 2 Thumbs up!

  • A new episode of "THe Hills" give me a break

  • you lose the immese storage space of the fit, lighter body, many standard options (MP3 player CD player, Bodykit, wheels, NAV) for several thousand less than a similar equpied civic or corolla

  • dude, I'm getting 35mpg city and 40+mpg hwy in my '09 fit sport...and that'll only improve as it breaks in.

  • ...i test drove every car in the class (versa, xd, vibe, etc) nothing else even came close to the fit. this car is in a class to itself. if you're thinking of getting an econo car, this should be the first car you test drive...if you can find one!

also, DO NOT PAY DEALER MARKUP ON THIS CAR! i got mine at msrp, which was hard enough. i've never paid sticker for a car in my life, but this car is worth it...just not anymore!

  • can you do a quick video review on it?

  • i will post a review...soon as i get it.

  • did you drive the b class benz...its wayyy better

  • benz vs honda are you kidding me?

  • im just sayin why would you buy a 09 fit when there are literally a ton of other cars at dirt cheap prices in this type of market...it doesnt make any sense (to me at least). u were saying you have driven "every car in the class" (I assumed you had also test drove the hatchback b class benz)

its a great car but obviously a bit more pricy if u buy new
