extremism will always be dangerous for the human being. There must and should be a balance between the individual and the society, not the prevalence of any of both. In other words, the individual working for the society and the society working for the individual. But for this to be succesfull the society must be form of individuals but not greedy and self self SELF individuals, but free and equal individuals! Working in solidarity and recognizing others freedom and equalness.

@zygodactylexicon I think society is just a product of natural, human instinct and behavior. Were social creatures, as well as individual. Yah, we can isolate ourselves, but much of how we view the world has been shaped by interactions with our close family, as well as the greater world. The family is really the facet of society we first come into contact with, and its ultimately inescapable. You can't opt out of not being raised by a small community made up of parents, guardians, siblings, etc.

Yah, you can isolate an individual, but much of how they view the world and their selves has been shaped by their families, as well as the greater culture. I think arguing between the primacy of the individual and the primacy of society is like arguing between the primacy of light and darkness. Both couldn't exist without the contrast of the opposite.
