That is a great idea, I think someone already proposed the WIMA's (West Indian Music Awards) which would be based primarily in Barbados as an organization but will be featured in one of five Caribbean Destinations each year (Barbados, Trinidad, Jamaica, St. Lucia & Antigua) until the others renovate and revamp airports, hotels, security, venues etc. The islands mentioned before have the largest conference and events venues within the West Indian Caribbean
There is be to many Islands, Barbados, Trinidad Jamaica, St. Lucia, Antigua, here is the problem some of the island speak Spanish: Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico , Haiti, Bahamas. I see what you mean these islands do practice with the same instruments. Just different type of music. The language barrier is the problem. Barbados is trying to get kids to learn Spanish to communicate with there neighbors. With a West Indian Caribbean Contest its a start. I can see a Salsa contest. ^_^ 5/5
