If I remember correctly, the first song they played was Shine On You Crazy Diamond. They then proceeded to play the entire album. They took a break and came out and did the entire Animals album. Money was the encore.

  • I saw this show at the Miami Baseball Stadium. The huge pig they had hanging from the stadium started to rip because of the high winds, people were scrambling to get a piece of it. Lots of fist fights. It was awesome! Best band to see in concert in the 70's. Close second would have been ELO.

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs"

  • wow, Thanks for uploading this! I was there too! Born near there & happened to be visiting. I was not yet 12. Ditched the fam & went out with the 20 yr old son of my mother's employer-- didn't like him, just wanted to mess with Mom! He wanted to go to a chop suey flick, as he was an aspiring Chuck Norris. He was Nothing like Chuck! lol So, I ditched him too, and hitched to this show! lol!! good times! Thanks again!

  • I was there with friends, one of them I had to babysit because he couln't handle the shrooms we took. LOL So had to watch from left field seats near the foul line. I had a good time though, one of my favorite bands of all time.

  • i was there also, wow, one of the best concerts i have ever seen

  • @soonerclint99 I was there too!!! This is my #1 concert of all time...and I've been to a lot of them! Do you remember it rained before the concert & there was a double rainbow behind the stage...awesome! Great sound system.

  • @soonerclint99 i wish i had the chance to go. i wasnt born til 87. PINK FLOYD will and always be my favorite band.

  • i was there also, woww

  • Pink Floyd, LIve in Oakland 1977 3-disc 2CD/DVD set available at Tommygun Video please see our channel for link to web site/details/video & audio clips

  • Hippies revolucionarios de 60 y 70, que generación tan importante para el cambio espiritual del planeta, lastima la actual generación sin profundidad ni conceptos espirituales, solo encaminados y alienados hacia las tendencias materialistas del planeta.

  • Wen i was young i remember the noise of the helicopter an the jet brum the stadium

one day before we arrived and sleep and the supose entrance and one hour before the doors open ''surprise'' the doors from the other side open

i experiment a really rock and roll adventure in Anaheim

    Wen I was young

  • Anyone else think David looks a bit like Ozzy Osbourne dressed a a priest here?

  • Saw them on the "Animals" tour in Antwerp-Belgium, february 1977!

  • I saw them at the Boston Garden on June 27th 1977...I didn't realize back then

I was participating in rock history...those were the days!

  • @1LaOriental it's not really rock "history" just Floyd's 1977 tour...The Wall was history

  • @sixsixxsixxxx It was history in that the stagecraft for that tour was the most elaborate to date...it was also

the last major tour to include Roger Waters. I also had a conversation with a fan who had recorded material

of that concert and many believed it to be the best performance of the tour, Is this true? Maybe...maybe not. Prior to The Wall it was history...

  • @sixsixxsixxxx I am old enough to be your mother and am very thoughtful about what I say. In addition to my previous answer to your comment, I would suggest you do your research. Indeed, the Boston performance of "Animals" was considered the best show of the tour; there is documentation that supports this.

  • ah.. the darkest corner of Floyds live touring career. it's like a fine glass of scotch after a long days work. ty for the upload mate

  • Don't forget Richard Wright. He had much to do with the sound of PF but is often forgotten

  • I am really interested to see how the inflatables from this concert looked like.Beside the pig there were inflatables of obese family,a cadilac and fridge that at one point bursted open and snakes came out.Does anyone knows more about this?

  • Really excelent songs and the album(Animals) is one of my fave both lyricwise as musicwise.

  • I was born on this date. No lie...luv floyd....

  • I think having this video is a blessing; Floyds live stuff is hard to find! Thanx!

  • I saw this live at the Garden in NYC in 1977...AWESOME!!! The sound was incredible; spinning between 4 hugh speakers set up in the rafters going in one ear & out the other. 2nd best concert I ever saw tho...the best was in 1973 when I saw Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and the burning airplane in Phila, PA. Their music will last forever. I applaud this generation for appreciating how great they were. My 19 yo son & his pals love Pink Floyd (smart kids for envying me too, lol).

  • I was at this concert too, Saturday night, they were there on Friday as well. Best concert I've ever been to.

  • floyd at their very best.

  • I was at Cinti in June 1977 for the Animal's Tour. Mesmerizing!!

  • why couldnt they have good cameras back in the day!! to see this amazing footage.

  • I was also at the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert around the same time at the Universal Amphitheater, (not called that anymore)

  • I was also at this concert and what I remember is there was a light rain as the sun was setting and in the sky, behind the stage, a double rainbow appeared!

  • I saw this show at the spectrum in Philly. a great time was had by all

  • More cow bell!

  • Pink Floyd, Live in Oakland 3-disc 2CD/DVD set available, check our channel for link to site, and more details

  • Roger is so hot in this - working hard

  • Roger is so hot

  • I saw them in Cleveland Ohio on that tour it was great.

  • What I wouldn't give to see Floyd in their glory days-----or to see Dark Side of the Moon on it's original tour. I have a "import" recording of Dark Side live that is pretty good for an "import", but would have loved to seen them live before self destructing.

  • Pink Floyd Animals.

    What an Incredible Album.

Listen on a good Sound System and be in Audio Heaven.

  • @SeeeTubeee Yeah its definitely one of my fav Floyd albums, totally underrated. Listening to it from start to finish is an experience for sure!

  • ha ha they set a blow up pig on fire. ha ha stupid pig

  • Holy shit, this was the day I was born. Neato. To think, I could've actually been squeezed out of my ma right when Gilmour hit the high note in the solo..

  • Man, Thats as simple as it looks like, 5 genuis musiciens met and formed the most great band ever formed.

  • OH MY GOD, THIS IS MONUMENTAL! Pink Floyd was and still is the best rock band in the universe!

  • Does anyone kwow where i can buy the 1977 animals tour, either on vhs or dvd.s_quicksilver@yahoo.com

  • This hardly left my turntable in 1977. I used up a lot of Diskwasher cleaning it repeatedly.

  • Why did it have to be my mother who was born in 1961 and not me? What I would give to be able to see this show......

Also where's Rick Wright in the middle of all this awesomness?

  • Gods of Rock!

  • My favorite Pink Floyd album. The camera man seems to be having a hard time keeping the camera straight.

  • I WAS THERE WAS TERRIFIC..UNFORGETABLE

  • Where can I find the original?

  • @watcherfromtheskies I do not believe there is more video footage than this. as f for audio. It is the the best sounding show from 77 and complete I might add. Click on my name and check out my bootlegs,

  • I was at that show... swear to god !!!! It rained before Floyd came on and there was this HUGE double rainbow... I remember it well... I was 19 years old... this is awesome footage for back in the day "home movies"... thanks for the post man... for real.

  • @gsisola I was there too. I also remember the double rainbow and how much the crowd was psyched. The floating dogs, sheeps and pigs were awesome. They also did DSOTM. I also remember a guy climbing to the top of the foul pole in the outfield. Everyone was waiting for him to fall and kill himself. I had seats in the infield, but I should have gotten onto the field. It was such a great show.....33 years ago.

  • Saw um in LA for Dark Side Of The Moon where Chief Gates tried to make it not happen. Saw them again do THE WALL in LA. Gates was out numbered and Jim Ladd God love him fired up a dubee in his honor to start the most amazing experience you could imgine. Then there was the home of the Angels tour billed as Wish You Were Here. After intermission came Animals and an awsome onchoir of Money.......Oh Yea....did I say anything about this coming November????We can only pray Rog and Dave come to amends.

  • dadlove......Don't know why it says sickchick1000 wrote this, it was my testimonialto being a FOG (favorite old guy)

  • They were at their prime. Beautiful.

  • Can we watch one vintage Pink Floyd video without the ensuing "Waters vs. Gilmour" BS that seems to always follows? They were great but they've gone seperate ways and have had they're own success. Just be grateful we've been blessed with their music and genius. Enjoy it for what it is.

  • I was at this concert... Note to my fellow addicts that are still using (I'm in recovery)... DON'T FRY ON LSD AT CONCERTS! LOL

  • Great sound on Pigs!

  • this is the darkest album Floyd ever did,but an excellent one.

  • please i nedd this link

  • An amazing album...their very, very best. Animals

  • @marcol68 Very, very, very, very best INDEED

  • @marcol68 Your fave tune? Mine is Dogs for the lyrics and vocals. Pigs for the badassery git work and overall uniqueness. Sorry, can't have just one.

  • I would happily miss out on the internet to have been born in the late 50's so I could go to 70's and 80's Floyd shows.

  • I was there also, still fresh in my mind, blew me away when I came across this tube!

    Thank you

  • @jcracker13

I too was there! Epic show. I really had no idea what I was in for. The upper levels of the stadium were bouncing up and down about 8 inches. The pyrotechnics were amazing, only to be outdone by the exploding pig! Long live The Floyd!!!! Never will there be another band like them. Truly their own genre of music.

  • @TenEightSurfer Yeah they are in a class of their own.Another thing, never fly PINK FLOYD AIRLINES.

  • I can't believe anyone would listen to the shit that comes out today considering that Pink Floyd existed.

  • @crazyzach5 AGREED!!!!

  • I was there!! At 16 it was really a trip to see the light show and all the blown up animals...and ofcourse the burning pigs!!...."Floating" through the crowd and meeting so many tripping people enjoying the show on such a beautiful evening!!!Special days and nights for sure!!

  • @springsmix you have spend your life now its time to journey to hell

  • the floyd must feel proud that there will never ever be another band like them

and nick mason is the 2nd luckiest drummer in the world just behind ringo starr

  • I was at this show with one of my best friends and we were frying on two hits of orange barrel aka LSD .lol .

    it was a great time

  • @YouRockRadiodotcom Hi Grandpa. Always wanted to go, now I can't.

  • what an experience! Lucky one

  • @YouRockRadiodotcom I so want to be you right now. I was born in the year PF stopped touring altogether so I'll never get to see them live. At least I'm going to see Waters this december.

  • @YouRockRadiodotcom no I think I'll call you "lucky"!

  • @YouRockRadiodotcom i would call you grandpa but i think a more fitting name is ONE LUCKY SON OF A BI@*H!!!! lol man i was born in the month and year this was going on so i couldnt be there but damn what a show it must have been

  • @YouRockRadiodotcom I envy you

  • @YouRockRadiodotcom I was 3 in 1977, and you're the coolest Grandpa ever.

  • @YouRockRadiodotcom i call you luckyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • i always found animals their coolest album beause it is so

obscure and less pleasant than the two predecessors.

it has some pretty strange and very original (except PIGS) music on it

  • Wow como me hubiese gustado estar ahí!! Great Pink Floyd, amazing video!! 5*****

  • People have to understand....This tour was HUGE! I was 12 years old and I watched my brother and older cousins go berserk! This kind of tour will drive you mad! From a musical point of view it was obscene! Theses guys were playing to 70

To 100,00 people, the gates stopped counting after 80,000 I could not handle that type of atmosphere no way

  • @ummaguama Hell, I've been to one concert they did @ Ohio State in the horse shoe and sat in the parking lot just to listen to them you could hear them plain as day(Could Not Afford A Ticket)...I bet there was at least half the people in the parking lot that got in the Shoe to see them. Your right, people went beezerk over these guys. Still Do...

  • My grandma went to the same concert as you she said it was insane in the stadium.

  • Absolutely.

  • i went to this show no opening bands. instead they played echoes careful w/that axe and some other earlier songs over the pa i remember thinking that was kind of odd

  • animals is such a great record, but so underrated. i heard that gilmour and waters were so stressed out during the animals tour that they were such assholes to the audience sometimes, and this inspired the wall

  • I still remember buying this album in the 70's and slipping on my headphones. It was a heady experience for a 14 year-old. This CD is so, so dark and disturbing, but somehow I found comfort in the grooves.

  • Gilmour and Waters equally had a huge impact of what Pink Floyd was. Waters had the twisted lyrics and Gilmour had the palette of guitar riffs and tones that made Pink Floyd's sound so distinguishable. With either one of them missing it just isn't the same period.

  • @clehneis Agreed but you can see that all the great ideas and concepts came from the mind of Waters.

    Peace.

  • @rockaires The mind of Waters consisted of WW2 and his childhood as the main concepts of his lyrics. He drove those ideas at the band for many years and they got sick of it. Yes he's a good lyricist and came up with interesting bass lines but it wasn't enough to make anything out of him and his whinny bitch attitude once he left the band. After he left I feel the band became very boring to listen to so it really shows how important all the members were in completing the sound.

  • WW2, his childood, the greed of our days, the lack of comunication betwwen people, the right wing power, his friendship with Barrett, the showbiz with its absence of quality are the themes in Waters mind among others, so...

  • True.

  • If Waters was that great, he should have been more successful in his solo career, don't you think?

The Final Cut, which is said to be like a Water's solo album, isn't that great also.

Pink Floyd without him is different, but still good. Waters gave it a bit of insanity and audacity, but without Gilmour and Wright his ideas would never have been refined to a high musical standard.

The genuine Pink Floyd was those 4 working together at an equal level.

    That's my opinion.

  • you said it perfect!!

  • @clehneis Yeah. Can't imagine Page doing git. Or Plant the voice.

  • @clehneis i think you are forgeting the single fact that roger waters is the MAIN COMPOSER, not only the lyricist. Anyhow gilmour is the god of the 6string.

  • @laihoz I'm not forgetting anything. What success did Roger Waters have after Pink Floyd? He needed the rest of the band just as much as they needed him. David Gilmour and pink floyd is just too boring without Roger Waters, and Waters doesn't have much without them. That was their nitch and they never seemed to find another one. All good things come to an end and its not like the band ended prematurely. It is what it is. You are right though Waters was the composer.

  • @clehneis Who made you the expert on these guys? You are a tool. Just rambling to hear your own thoughts. I am so sick of people like you a self proclaimed expert.

  • @zenarrrow I never claimed to be an expert on these guys. Its called a comment box you douche nozzle. Either you agree with what I say or you don't.

  • @zenarrrow Chill out man!! Everybody's entitled to their opinion! (Unless all you want to do is belittle somebody.)

  • @clehneis Shut up ass whip. What about the keyboard player dill hole?

Oh yeah the drummer was pretty good too, ball hair.

  • you couldnt be more off if you tried

  • Grandioso... me encanta, como me hubiese gustado estar allí.

  • I was there...it was fucking incredible.

  • We saw them live so many times we've lost count but it's somewhere between 22-25 times. Once we saw them live 4 nights in a row on Long Island NY in 1988. Fantastic!!! What a let down that 5th night...it was like, ok back to reality now.

  • First time I ever heard Animals was live in Frankfurt Germany January 1977, two nights in a row!!! What wonderful memories!

  • what i would give to see them live.

  • I was 12 when this happened. I truly was born in the wrong decade.

  • man im 14 years old and may 7 is my birthday!! i would give anything to have been there that night!

  • Wow my favourite album by them, animals, don't know why but i think it takes some beating. Lovely

  • I Would Love To See It In A Better Image!!! Hope Someone Has It!!! Still Nice Video!!!

  • I was at that concert! This brought back some momories

  • Damn, David really tears it up on Pigs! Love that very angry feel and how he morph's it into a more melodic finish. Very nice.

  • do you have the whole footage, if you do you should really upload it! :D

  • I have the full Animals live album which includes most of Darkside and Wish You Were Here live, unfortunatley its just the Audio and the sound engineer didn't do them much justice, he made a lot of fuck ups, adding delay to the whole track instead of just one instrument etc. A few really disappointing mistakes by the sound guy, I'll put the abum on in the next few weeks though with a slideshow or something, its still well worth hearing, espacially when Roger and Dave burst out laughing

  • yah, please upload it!

  • I have the same audio recording and the audio here is from the Oakland Coliseum show.

  • damn roger can fucking rock ...........the way he delivers is too good .......n daves guitar jus cries n blows me away.......tired n back from work n lisning this wow

  • I was at this concert ... they were messing around with two pigs ... one was pink the other looked like a real pig with red eyes lit with red lights ... we sat back and kinda pondered on what the hell are they doing ... then they sent the pink one up and all of a sudden BLAMMMMMM ... OMG! The crowd went bananas!

  • did the concert hall have like no lights cause it is really dark in this video

  • um there is a huge shade that went over the top and the stage was pretty dark ... back then they didnt have cameras like now so even if it was well lit u still had to use lights on ur camera

  • Do you have the whole thing?

  • Where did you dig these up? Great vid.

  • Yo tengo ganas de formar una banda así. Estoy harto de escuchar la basura que nos venden como "música" hoy en día.

  • I was at this concert it was so cool to see that pig burn what a trip

  • brilliant tone on gilmours guitar.... awesome solo....

  • the greatest band and the best sounding song. every time i hear this song i love it more and more.

  • siempre que veo videos asi mi primer pensamiento es que es falso. pero luego empiezo a creer que es verdadero y al final me quedo inseguro.
