  • So informative. Thank you very much.

  • Yes darling, I'm getting Posh Nosh with a little hint of I'm sorry I haven't a clue and perhaps a soupson of Hitchhikers Guide and maybe even a hint of Look Around You. Now I love all of these, so why am I still in 2 minds here... Y'know, I love asparagus, I love sour cream, I love raspberries and I love Chicken Jalfrezi - but maybe not all in the same milkshake..?

Maybe I'm nearly convinced? I like that I think she's dead fit tho!

  • I will eat one now, I think.

  • There's something very Posh Nosh about these veg videos ^^

  • asparagus has 2 volues. A and U

  • Are you related to Jack Dee?

  • of course she is. hence the name.

  • She's hot

  • A comedian isn't really meant to smile at his or her own jokes :x

  • she doesnt smile

  • No, never - my mouth is glued in that position.

  • lol verry amusing !!

  • if i was in a lake of asparagus i'd say "food, food everywhere but not a bit to eat"

  • Might we expect something involving Kohlrabi? According to Wikipedia they have a "sputnik-like shape". A township in my State - Michigan - has the title "Kohlrabi Capitol of The World". It is rumoured that, in early spring Kohlrabi, emit a 'dark hum' which confuses whales and may interfere with ultra-low (long wave) communications employed by submarines.

  • While they are surely a lovely vegetable I am thinking about wraping all this up fairly shortly! The pepper and carrot ones might be the last straw.

  • Sad to hear, but it is true 'the best meal leaves one wanting'.

Really some fine work, Elise. Please do keep at it, in whatever form strikes your fancy.

  • the small words scrolling say "oyster, brick, charcoal"

  • Well some of these things are true.

  • is asparagus really an aphrodisiac?

  • Allegedly.

  • i'm more than a little obsesed with this video right now.

  • As an american I lack the emotional sophistication and, not least; the attention span, to approach the complex emotional paradigm both implicit and explicit in the vegetable commentaries. Crudely, I would say there is pensive resignation somehow undermined, and prevented from waxing into despair, by a groundswell of inevitable optimism. All tempered by rampant scientific curiosity mitigated with intense covert sensuality.

  • Mad sexually repressed Woman + Funny shaped veg = introvert with a Secret Phalic infatuation complex.

  • "The smell of hot asparagus is very similar to the chemical composition of the smell of cats"

    hahaha

  • MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT MICHAEL JACKSON

  • Lady, I'm a fan.

  • O yes i like this and you

  • Thank you - always good to hear from someone who appreciates you!

  • I don't like asparagus, but I can never get away from them T_T

  • No - they are all-pervasive! Omnipresent even.

  • ubiquitous!

    or youtubiquitous

  • I think i tried it once! I just can't remember how it tastes like! Cool Video (",)

  • You realise that i can't listed to the brandenburg concerto now with out thinking of these vids. It changes the whole classical experience. Keep well

  • When are you going to move on to the meat group?

We're not all herbivores, you know!

  • any pineapple?

  • Bit too acidic! It rots your gums away, you know!

  • I think sooner or later i'll do a "What's that pasta?" eh eh, with either Puccini or Rossini's music

  • Vivaldi per la pasta!

  • I will. They are great frozen too!

  • huh...I did not know that

  • What is that classical piece of music? Apologies for the unvegetably off-topicness.

  • The Brandenberg Concerto by Bach (you can get a copy from Kevin MacLeod's website - link in the blurb!)

  • Specifically, the Brandenburg Concerto No 4 (BVW 1049) Movement 1 - Allegro. A fantastically fun piece to play!

  • gli spaghetti plural

    lo spaghetto singular

    heheh

    spaghetti to a rat? :-O

    o tempora o mores

we shall embargo spaghetti to Albion

  • gli spaghetti plural

    lo spaghetto singular

    heheh

    spaghetti to a rat? :-O

    o tempora o mores

we shall embargo spaghetti to Albion

    check my new song btw

  • Asparagi (the plural of asparagus) are delicious picked straight from the garden and gnawed upon like a rat nibbles spaghetti.

  • I will have to leave out some spaghetti to observe the latter phenomena!

  • The singular of phenomena is phenomenon.

    The adjectival form is phenomenal.

Your veggie viddies are a phenomenal phenomenon

  • Thanks. And if I left out spaghetti there would certainly be more than one rat - so phenomena it would be!

  • Plus the phenomenon of Tinkerbell attacking the rats.

p.s. the singular of spaghetti MAY be spaghettum. (Maybe not)

  • Wow, impressive gesture with that vegetable! Must be the contact aphrodisiac qualities of the Asparagus.

  • Indeed!

  • Last time I purchased, the produce manager offered me some gloves, for handling until "the moment was right", he said.

  • Only you can make an asparagus funny...and sexy!

  • is there a rhubarb companion video to this asparagus?

    I live in Rhubarb County, U.S.A. !

  • I have a bunch of those growing in a garden. They're not the greatest vegetable. They grow really fast, though. Of course they're an aphrodisiac, they look like a <censored>.

  • In the event of an awesome shortage this video will serve as a flotation device. Thank you.

  • Quite superb. Ive never had asparagus in my life, what a peasant.

  • I feel the vitamins and minerals entering my body from your wonderful and informative program. I have become a total meat eater now because I get all my servings of vegetables from your show. Wow! I coulda had an Eliseharris...

  • These are well-suited for BBC Four (Brandon Berg Concerto #4).

  • To the smell of CATS?

I've finaly decided to take the time to check out your website.

Here's mine for when you get the time

    instantmessengermovie. com/utubia/

  • Thanks - I will go there directly!

  • yucky :D

  • Always liked your vegetable videos = )

  • Thank you. This might be the last in the present series. Maybe fruit next - or even something non-plant-related!

  • Fruit will be interesting. Can't wait = )

  • The longsuffering ARTICHOKE has been patiently awaiting your incomparable treatment. The unignorable RHUBARB has also eagerly joined the waiting line.

(Remember, there are starving vegetables in Africa without video cameras. So finish your vegetables!)

  • Oh I know - artichoke is very angry with me.

  • Nah. It only looks angry. That's part of its mystique.

Underneath that façade its really quite bland.

  • when i was kid, i was obsessed by asparagus soup. Totally addicted. Now I can't stand it. Probably over exposure...

  • I didn't realize Asparagus was an aphrodisiacs or that it led to war. Quite a potent vegetable!

  • First!
