Instead of "Empty Trash" or "Securely Empty Trash" Open Terminal and type "sudo rm -R " without quotes, and yes there is a space after "-R". Before hitting enter drag your trash contents into the Terminal window. then hit enter and type in your password.
@BrightShadowTuts yeah but you really shouldn't be recommending that to other people because that is seriously dangerous. You could make mistake and mess things up badly.
