I love how by the sixth song on their set here at Gonzaga everyone starts clapping when they are starting a song. Starting to realize they are witnessing something great!
I've heard Plant's scream being described as a siren on this tune, in their first tour. Now I hear it... and it's a true assessment. Plant is just amazing on this. Jimmy's playing the telecaster. Wow this is just fucking insanely good. It's damnit, damnit it's like a fucking eight track. Must find part two....
I think you play Skiffle at 14 then play on 90 percent of recordings in the UK and PRACTICE.
There is no special effect. Just how he bends the notes and uses the-- no pun intended--NOBS on the guitar. Nice, isn't it? My kid plays guitar and has all these computer things and you can't just make that noise. It's just plain, old practice + imagination. I hope that's helpful, dear.
so has anyone out there got this show recorded in its entirety?

Plant is a god. He has a Four Octave Range. The only singer as good as Plant is Freddie Mercury. No one else comes even CLOSE to both of them.

"What I mostly remember is when Jimmy Page took out a violin bow and began bowing his double-neck guitar," remembered Jeff "Tor" Nadeau.
I'm pretty sure there are like three things wrong with that statement. At least two.
Ozzybeans 2 years ago 2
Haha! Yeah, he didn't even have the Gibson double-neck guitar yet and when he did get one, he NEVER bowed it.
I think what Jeff "Tor" Nadeau remembers was a drug-induced hallucination. LOL!
