  • Yes, several dancers from Somapa have danced with the Cambodians in other events as well -- good example of learning from each other's cultures.

  • Beautiful!

  • LOVELY GIRLS! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

  • Tys for sharing the video :D

  • Thanks for keeping our traditional dance alive! U have really contributed to our Khmer culture. One of my sisters in-law is also a Khmer dancer in Cambodia, now she has become a dance lecturer in the University of Fine Art in Phnom Penh.

  • I wonder if she participated in the 2007 Smithsonian Folklife Festival, as there was a contingent from the music and dance departments from the Royal University of Fine Arts. Could she possibly be in the Robam Makar dance that took place at that event?(I just posted that video yesterday).

  • Great job CAH! Thanks for all your hard works and practices.

  • LOL nice job the girl in the green :D

  • Thanks you rock!!!

  • WOW ur a great dancer!!

  • Thank you!!!

  • Thank you for keeping the Khmer Cultural alive. Cambodia is a small country but we are so diverse and sincere Khmer people. It all reflects in our Khmer Classical and Khmer Folks dance.

  • I am glad to contribute in a small way to recording this beautiful art form; the real credit goes to the community committed to carry the torch of their ancestors and culture to future generations. People dedicate themselves to years of discipline, commitment and practice, to music and dance, so that it will never again be threatened by extinction. I am heartened to see the interest and participation of non-Cambodians, and even non-Asians, as it recognizes value and beauty in these traditions.
