  • Joe has a nice butt! loool

  • Comment removed

  • Louis RANTS a lot

  • His wife is NUTS!

  • @RBG02005 taht's why i'm so enamoured with her. we're simpatico, her and i!

i'd take care of you, parker.

  • I love Joe!

  • The scenes between Joe and Louis are always my favorite...

  • I wonder what it was that made them decide to change the Mormon Center scene so much from the play.

  • OwO patrick wilson is so hot

  • This scene breaks my heart for Joe. Optimistic innocence. And I love his line about voilent kindness. So true.

  • @blackolds33 why do you feel sorry for joe? between him and louis despite first appearances he is the more shallow and empty. he's not innocent. he's selfish. even more than lou. even in respect to his "love" for lou. he had to correct himself and rephrase his sentence but what he said first is what he meant. he's concerned about what lou is doing to him and his resulting feelings over pretended selfless concern for only lou's.

  • @limeclementine I still feel sorry for him. It does sound selfish but he's (Joe) abandoned someone and seen Louis abandon someone and he's scared it will happen again. Plus all of the acceptence of trying to reconcile your gayness after being brought up in a religious household, etc. I feel sorry for him because I was him, in a way. And I don't think he was pretending to care about Lou...I think he heard himself and corrected himself. He was just terrified of being left alone.

  • @blackolds33 Yeah, I feel like Joe is absolutely shafted in this play. Even though he -is- selfish, if he were entirely unselfish, his character wouldn't be as human and vulnerable. He's incredibly flawed, but I've never gotten the impression that he's ingenuine or a bad person. He's no worse than Louis, and yet he drops off the face of the earth before the story's end and is left alone and drifting in the world, while Louis is included in the little community at the end. It seems unfair.

  • "this is the visitingcenter, Im VISITING!"

  • how could he leave his partner. another question, him and his partner were together for a while, how could he not get infected with AIDS

  • @TheDevonnMarieShow I'm not sure how much was known about preventing passing along HIV to a partner in the 80s, but condoms and other latex barriers are seriously effective. So if they were careful about their sexual activites (used a condom for oral and anal sex and lots of lube) it's not unreasonable that his partner wouldn't have been infected.

  • Emma Thompson's American accent is wonderful!

  • Actually, it makes sense for him to be Republican. Closeted, guilt-ridden, cheats on his wife, supposedly super religious, sinless, and yet self-hating.

If he had kids, he'd be a senator in 2010.

  • @Ardenwolfe Shut up. Your such a fucking prejudice. People like you disgust me. And I'm a democrat.

  • @Ardenwolfe or a televangelist.

  • aaaaaahahahahha;

"if people like you didn't have reagan to demonize, where would you be?"

"if he didn't have people like US to demonize where would HE be? top left box on hollywood squares."

    well played, louis.

  • I hate Louis, he is my least fave character, because of that he might end up living at the end when my favorite ones all die.

  • the thing about louis is that he is not a bad person, oh no. i think he is more of a coward. in a way he shuts off his life (by which i mean his relationship with prior) by leaving that life. of course it was inexcusable that he left but that does not make him a bad person. he's afraid.

  • @bigmama1985 lucky; i wish i had whatever class you have! lol cuz i love this!

  • while very entertaining this show makes no sense

  • @larhondbw

If you had a more open mind, I'm sure you would begin to understand. Step out of your box.

  • maybe if you knew me i would actually care if you thought i had an open mind or not but since you don't, i don't. there are other movies that make the point they are trying to make but in a much better way.

  • Well there is a part missing( thanks Youtube). This was a mini series that ran on HBO for a few weeks back in 2003. It's based off a play about AIDS, aspects of gay life, religion, and a changing American idea in the late 80's( at least thats what I got from it) I suggest you get the DVD or Google Angels in America. I watched it when it originally aired.

  • I'm an ex-Mormon that line "why don't we call ourselves Morons" just cracks me up LOL I thought the same thing at the time.

  • @PhillAlexandros We should really be called Moronites. Lol

  • The sad part about this film is that he could just walk out on his dying lover, when he really needs him the most. Its so sad but there are poeple out there thats ju7st that fucking selfish and self serving.....the hell with them all........

  • @ doc1297

Never speak of what you don't know. It is a hard life. Sometimes it's harder to walk away than it is to stay.

  • Come here Fredo! Your still my brother Fredo!!

    HOOOAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I know it was you Fredo. You broke my heart. You broke my heart Fredo.

    HOOOOAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
