Sorry sellout87 - I can't help you there. There are a few lists of music from BLUE JAM on the internet - but the ones that I have checked haven't been of any help for your question.
Also - thanks for the replies to my original question below. But - the song I am interested in is the sample that is played in the background for the first 2 minutes of the above clip... Any takers??? Thanks!
@LuborFiedler this is just that song, "Time" by Sly & the Family Stone. just the first few bars looped over and over. the second track however I have no idea about.
this one is totally genius btw. the background music on the CD enhances the unsettling effect even more.
@DJFutureSphere Thanks for that, DJFutureSphere. Thanks too to UKromany. I can't believe how dumb I am! I must have checked out the wrong Sly & The Family Stone song before. Also - I was confused as to whether people were getting mixed up with the track on the CD (which is different). Suffice to say - it was me getting mixed up - since I was convinced that sample must be from a modern song (maybe from WARP records). I can't believe such a great modern sounding loop would be 40 year olds old!
Does anyone know the background music at the start of the monlogue? It is incredibly sad and beautiful. I dunno' why they changed it for the CD. I think the original is much better... I have found most of the music for BLUE JAM but not this song. Please help!

All of these monologues by Morris contain such beautiful poetic darkness. Utterly uplifting
