The thing I noticed with a lot of male atheists on youtube is that they are not open to questioning their own beliefs about women or sexism. They react as badly to feminists on issues such as porn or prostitution as some fundamentalist christians do on issues like abortion. What explains this?
p.s: sorry for the bad spelling English is not my native language and don’t bother replying because I don’t fight on the net, I just wanted to let this one out of my chest. Im an atheist female since I was 10, im now 20.
There is sexism on the net, I notice every time a women comments somewhere , will always be an idiot replying to her , and telling her to go back to the kitchen or to go make a sandwich. I think most men are sexist, atheist or religious, I always had a feeling that most men consider them self’s superior to women(I could be wrong).but those types of comments usually come from teens or guys in their early 20´s that are only atheist to appear smarter, and hide behind their computer.
You know what it is, it's those wackos like girlonfilm and nuclearnight. People get used to idiots like that spewing their venom in every direction. Then a little guilt by association later, and ALL feminists get lumped in with that.
@AmetReloads what I said was if it was her choice then it was her choice and that no one should tell her she can't do it. You'll note in this video I say there is of course sexism everywhere..so what exactly is your point?
Not really riping on your video but I'm curious as to how attractive females under 30 being on youtube is sexist? Would you think it sexist if a guy selects 1 female over another because she's more attractive?
One needs only to watch aghast the recent attacks on feminists to see that there's really vile sexism in the atheist 'community'. There are a lot of men out there who feel emasculated by strong women. Men who stand with the feminists tend to get attacked too. It's all very repugnant and retrogressive.
@geffel I'm a guy and I agree with some feminists. However I have met some women that call themselves feminists that don't want equality amount men and women. They want all the things other feminists want but they also want the things that are unfair that favor females. Things like a child typically defaults to the mother, a guy is expected to pay for all dates, the cops should always take her side, and even if she hits a man he shouldn't defend himself.
@systematic101 I have every episode of Cops and noticed there is a domestic dispute in almost every episode. I think the woman was taken away maybe 3 times out of over 600 incidences. In one particular case the woman stabbed the guy in his left arm. The guy called the cops and when they arrived the woman was standing beside the knife. Even though it was the mans house he got taken away because she had a bruise on her right wrist.
I liked your comment "we are all a little bigoted". I have always had a similar opinion, we are all hippocrites (spelling??) We all have something we are hippocritical about.. and this is the same I feel.
So you're saying that sexism is encoded in us all? By the way I heard about a study which concluded that people (men and women) take people with a high-pitched voice less serious. To the point if a female politician and a male politician have the same views the male politician will almost certainly get all the votes, just because of his deeper voice.
@peterhejlejensen I'm not going to argue nature vs nurture, it's pointless. The point is the atheist community is no more immune to sexism/bigotry than any other group of humans
it's not just "holy texts" - bigots are indiscriminate when seeking justification for their smallness...it can com from a text, from a parent, from baggage, from ideology, from "science"....it doesn't matter - the bigot will find justification and proceed from there...
Also I feel that in the current climate I am disadvantaged for being a man. I know girls who have gotten work and placements over me just because they are girls. Because I have better grades than them and I do better work than them, in some cases ALOT better. But they get the jobs because they have vagina's. It pisses me off. At least I'm not white because then I would be utterly screwed.
@daymyth special pleading. If find one case of a woman being passed ove for a job even though she has better qualifications then your point is null and void. You may "feel" like this but it's no more valid than the KKK feeling like "They're takin our JERBS!"
@nelliediddle It's the general climate of "affirmative action", I know it's true because I exploit the same system that I despise, I'm a colored immigrant. And I know I've gotten work over other qualified white males. Affirmative action is an actual thing, so I'm fairly certain my point is valid. It would be fine if it was the individual prejudices of the employer, that I could live with as being an individual thing, but when it's the whole culture. Like I said, at least I'm not white.
@nelliediddle If you require a woman to do my speaking for me, consider Christina Hoff Sommers and her book "The War Against Boys: How Misguided Feminism Is Harming Our Young Men". Oh how I love feminists like her, seeking ACTUAL equality. In general there tends to be an atmosphere against men, it's harder for men to retain custody of children, come out worse in divorce trails, sexual harassment is essentially only a women's thing, court sentences in general are worse for men.
@daymyth WHERE did you get that I require a "Woman" to do the speaking for you? change the word "men" for "white" and see if it triggers any alarm bells for you. What I am saying is the attitude regardless of who is using it is not reality. I find one Feminist book which shows the opposite "Backlash" by Susan Faludi, and we are back to the stale mate of perspectives.
@nelliediddle Okay your right. I will go away and look and see if I can find published meta statistics one way or the other, we may even end up both being right. That said I do remember an experiment about having an anglo saxon name makes it more likely an employer will respond to you than the same resume with an ethnic sounding name. So I'm probably wrong about the thanking I wasn't white. Damn another reason to be white other than Japanese girls.
@daymyth the whole point of my video is that sexism exists in ALL of us. Bigotry exists in ALL of us. That sometimes we need to step back from what we "feel" and think about it. And that of course it exists in the Atheist community because we are a group of humans who live in society and are affected by it, we are exempt because we don't believe in gods
@nelliediddle Sure and in general I can agree with that. But you had points which were clearly wrong "The internet is a giant sausage factory" See my response below from yesterday. And mentioned land rights for natives "rightfully so"over immigrants (which I think is bs because I believe in equality) I guess you rambled alot so I got muddled up with your general msg with specifics I disagreed with. Re-listening to your audio your main points are agreeable and what you said was quite reasonable.
@daymyth "clearly wrong" because you found Facebook had more women than men? so the internet consists of Youtube & facebook..good to know. I won't worry about Reddit, 4chan, or any other place on the web where things are discussed. Actually I never brought up "land rights " at any point. I talked about "Status" which is an entirely different matter all together.
@nelliediddle Fine, Pew Internet & American Life Project data shows that of US Adults in 2007 78% of Males use the internet and 75% of females, pretty damn close. Of course there will be uneven gender distributions depending on what site you visit like there will be age differences dependent on what MMO you play, I used facebook and youtube as I thought the most significant examples because they represent a medium which the majority of users use.
@nelliediddle Status is equally bs, the idea that you have privilege because of your decedents, I really despise that idea. I don't like playing games of who was here first, and what my ansectors did to your ansestors. I don't like the ideas of sins of the father.
I am an Australian immigrant of 20 years, my friends great uncle immigrated as Chinese railway worker, your ancestors migrated here on the indo-chinese land-bridge about 40,000 years and proceeded to genocide the local humanoids.
@nelliediddle (cnt) along with the mega fauna and completely destroy and ravage the land drastically altering its ecosystem just like most new homo sapien migrations around that time including North America. But can't we leave the past behind us and get along as equals? Where we are all treated equally and we all strive for the same thing?
Just FYI, youtube is 51% female, facebook is 55% female. I just googled it because I wasn't sure, also youtube is 54% 24-34 year olds so not teenagers. Perhaps it is that statistically a teenage male is more likely to make a comment or you only really notice and remember the comments that offend you, there is probably another factor and it most likely has to do with you being the variable.
@daymyth you keep assuming I'm not for equality or that I am for an animal farm equality. How is ignoring the things that has led to inequity going to lead to a balance? Status may be BS in your eyes, and thats fine , but the fact it the aborigines here are living under inequitable circumstances. Giving them the ability to move out of those circumstances IS about creating equity. Things are not equal NOW, so there will be a shifting in balance to create equity. Of course the people who...
@nelliediddle people who already have the majority of the power FEEL like they are being discriminated against. For someone who's so hot on equality you need to reexamine the language you use Yours & mine..we are all immigrants... true. I'm not actually talking about THAT I'm talking about people who have historically been discriminated against... & not back to the settlers come visit a "reserve" here follow the history of what was done then tell me how you suggest equality will be gained.
@nelliediddle But those situations can be applied to many poor rural people. How about you create a system where shifting the balance for equality is not based on heritage, gender or race that's what I'm asking for. Rural white people, poor white people also need help and could benefit from the same infrastructure. I am okay with reperation if YOU are the one that was directly effected (say in the case of the stolen generation) but not if it was your parents or grandparents. And historically...
@nelliediddle alot of shit happened. Even to my grandparents, by the British, some of it was good and some of it was bad. But that was then and this is now, we are not discriminated against now (well not by society or by anyone that matters) and I do not need special laws to protect me more than someone else (even if new anti-discrimination laws were put into place last year as a response to my race) because I just really don't like that. What I want is for race not to be a demographic.
It's probably right to say that most of the very popular female youtube tend to be rather sexy, but I think it's true to say that the most popular male youtuber are just more entertaining. It's rare to see a woman making truly entertaining video, they may be deep, they may be interesting if you bother to listen through them but it's rare that any of them really grip my attention long enough to watch it all. (Though it's not impossible Nessrriinn is amoungt my favorite youtuber after all).
Sexism is much less rampant in the atheist community than the religious community. If you don't know that is a fact I am sorry for you. Sexism, unfortunatly, is a part of the human male- intelligent liberalism is trying to conquer it though. I for one believe that is the right wing conservative types main problem with liberalism- equal rights, especially for the female. 99% of thinking women are liberals.
@Jeffersonwazright Sexism is part of human nature which was the whole point of the video. If you don't know that I'm sorry for you. Read through the comments & see the enlightenment, then go to ArronRas video where Skepchick speaks out and read that one then come back and tell me all about what it's like to be a female who speaks out on yoututbe.
@nelliediddle Nellie's point stands IMhO. the people hi-jacking the conversation were a couple of screws short of a decent and constructed argument. It was more like a couple of teens trying their hand at an adult conversation.
@Jeffersonwazright as it states in the description I was answering a question posed by SoretaYuki. If it's such a moot issue why are you spending time debating the mootness of it?
@Jeffersonwazright btw look at some of the women's comments on this video... can you read through them and still say it's a moot point?Apparently not so moot..seeing as its closing in on 300 comments & I didn't veen start responding to people till yesterday. Or how about the comments where if you changed the word "woman" to black or gay that would have caused a major shit storm. ALL humans have tier own bigotries it doesn't matter which group you have aligned yourself with that is the point
@nelliediddle Thanks for the spelling correction. I know all males have this problem. As I am typing this Iam watching Michelle Bachmann on TV and some of her quips from last night and can’t help but think "oh you dumb bitch sit the hell down" but that is mainly because she really is a dumb bitch. The question I have for myself is why I have to think the word "bitch" and not just dummy. Anyways, the Holy Texts are the problem in the modern world- atheists try their hardest to quell ther sexism
@Jeffersonwazright dude if you think I correct spelling for any reason other than it happens to be a word that means something completely different you've never had nay communication with me. I'm a dyslexic typos & spelling issues are my feast. I'm going to assume you were being sarcastic about the males having problems with that There are more theories on where the subjugation of women came from than "Holy text dun it" they certainly don't get us away from it but it's not a black & white issue
@nelliediddle I not saying that the Holy texts did it. Thanks for the insult with "dun it". I am saying that they reaffirm it and that you will find many more fundamental sexists in theism than atheism.
I don't think you correct spelling for any particular reason. I was saying thanks for the correction is all. Thank you for not following me down the wide path of spelling errors that leads to destruction.
@Jeffersonwazright It was NEVER stated at any point in anything I said that there are as many or more in the atheist community. It Was explicitly stated that it exists, as you proved with your own examples. This idea that the "Atheist" community is above this kind of thing is as much bullshit as the whole concept of a group of Atheists being anything more than a loose affiliation of people who have ONE thing in common
@Jeffersonwazright "the holy text are the problem"...erm sorry if you were insulted..but that sounds exactly like the opposite argument... you said they are the problem not that they exacerbate an existing problem or that they are part of a greater problem. Te words you have chosen to use are the only thing I can understand what you are trying to say. If the 500 characters is too little please feel fre to make a video
@Jeffersonwazright I look forward to it. Although I may still not agree that "they are the current problem" rather that they are part of an on going problem.I'm not saying you have to change your stance I'm saying I don't agree with it whole heartedly.
@nelliediddle Ok so the camera is not working right now so i will close with this. To make a video of atheists and sexism is like going to war with Iraq because of 911. Yea , you have a tiny little pathogen of sexism (cause for war) floating around in there somewhere but ultimately your argument is moot. Go to any mature atheist gathering and you will see nothing but solidarity from males and females. Stay cool with the people who are cool w you. Curtail your feminism in the name of comradery.
@nelliediddle and religion is the enemy. I admit from time to time I think that a woman should not be my boss- but I find myself only feeling that way when it is an emotional, irrational type of female- which often they are. If a woman is cool, calm, and collected I am usually cool with her being my boss. And no offense but your videos portray you as not cool, not calm, and not collected. You behave in an emotional state that makes it hard to know if you are rational. Anyways, that be it.
@Jeffersonwazright Don't play the "emotion" card. I'm a guy, and from some women I've dealt with, this lady is cool as can be. Given the situation, she is behaving quite well. When men as a group feel threatened, they tend to go to war and slaughter those in their way. Women have shut up and taken it so long, and are expected to, that I'm surprised they haven't formed their own army and waged physical war. Using the "emotional" argument is nothing more than an easy out by "creating" a flaw.
@LordAntonis I am not playing an emotion card or creating a flaw. I have a hard time trusting people who lead with their heart (so to speak) and not their head. It can be both male and female that I take away my trust from. Usually women lead with emotion and are just now evolving into the rational state of mind that SOME men have. Take Hillary Clinton for example- rational as fuck. Take Sarah Palin- typical woman that leads with her heart (so to speak) and irrational as fuck.
@Jeffersonwazright I agree that it isn't wise to make decisions based on emotions (except for compassion and empathy) yet when it comes to women, they can be as clear headed as possible, but if someone doesn't like their point, it's just easier to brush it off on emotions to invalidate the point instead of dealing with it, such as with this woman. If people didn't falsely label quite so often I'd be more inclined to take them seriously. Btw, both Clinton and Palin are dingbats. IMO
@LordAntonis Clinton is not a dingbat man. That lady is so cold and calculated that she could probably reverse global warming if she wanted to. Anyways, I agree with most of what you said. Women are evolving to understand that they can also rule. I welcome the evolution The problem is that evolution is never fun.
@solinoure You might also be interested in knowing that I do not self-identify as a feminist. See, unlike YOU, I actually was a child of the "sex wars". I grew up in the socially tumultuous 1970s, and the word "feminist" was almost always uttered with spite, contempt, or dismissiveness.
I am not a label, and I embrace and support equal rights and opportunities for BOTH sexes, all races, all gender identities/sexual orientations, etc.
Of course there's sexism amongst Atheists. I also notice a lot of classism too. Do we even need to address the presence of outright bigotry? I think a lot of what you address is sexism, but you're also describing 'lookism'. A lot of females indulge in that as well, both to men and women. IOW, Atheists are like everybody else.
Nel, sexism is universal & I know you don't dispute that. I often look to where a cycle perpetuates from to see if anything can be adjusted to minimise inequality or risk etc.
One thing I have noticed is that the male brain, on avg, is Vgood with numbers & the world relies on money/economy. I worked in banking for a few years & it is rare to find a female executive that controls or decides money flow. One look at the stock exchange floor & it is a mass of men.
Personally, I have experienced very little sexism from the (extremely loose) atheist community. I definitely experience some gender bias, I found that my viewers were a lot less likely to criticize me if my face appeared on camera, and a lot more likely to comment on my looks or something trivial about my appearance.
Any comments or PM's I received that were overtly sexual came from people I would consider trolls. That's just my experience as a former atheist youtuber w/ a feminine appearance.
Damn! I just read the comment section of AronRa's upload of Skepchick's part in Communicating Atheism. Gross! Lots of shut up bitches and feminism is full of shit and she should be happy that men find her attractive enough to send her (unwanted) sexually explicit e-mails. GROSS!
Right. Following the conversation I just had with Abby & Nellie on skype that somehow turned into a conversation about the infamy of their boobs I am picking up my toys and GOING HOME!!! O.O
My college aged daughter told me how on you tube she often found her videos being dismissed not on content but on her gender. I tried a little experiment. I passed myself off as a woman of about 22 who billed herself as an agnostic. I was really shocked at the crude sexist attacks directed at "her". Very seldom did anyone engage with the ideas presented, ideas which I had earlier presented as a man and received favorable responses. It was an eye opener!
@MusingsFromTheJohn Depends. I'd like to see the video before I could pass judgement. For the sake of argument I'll assume everything is in order and correct (shades of shockofgod?). If true I'm not surprised in the slightest.
I gotta say Im guilty for this but on the other hand its very rare that you get a decent person who is beautiful and charming aswell as intelligent and smart like Laci Green and ZOMGitschris. And lets face it laci cant help having big boobs lol again though lacis kind of sex ed is really insightfull and well informed. I take my hat off to you ladies.
ah these stupid women whining about sexism.....we very rarely hear women making very articulate videos like their male counterparts.....thats all there is to it....and yes men do like hot chicks.....is tht sexism?....no....its just human nature....get over it women....
@natuankur Chances are you very rarely hear a woman making an articulate video because being the sexist you appear to be in this comment just now you are too busy staring at boobs to comprehend the words coming out of her mouth. It's okay to like hot chicks, but if that is all you look for, you are one hell of a shallow idiot. By the way, we like hot guys as well, so perhaps I should dismiss anything you have to say and instead tell you that I'd like you better if you had a nice ass.
@ReignbowSmite oh for fuck's sake.....wt assumptions???......i was merely pointing out the fact that there arent enough women on utube who have made articulate videos.....i never meant that there arent any women who can make good videos.....but as per human nature.....people read more than what is meant....and thus the comments tht followed.....
@natuankur You assumed Rhysz is female... which is nothing but a redherring anyway. It has nothing to do with the topic. So tell me, what do Rhysz's genitals have to do with anything?
@ReignbowSmite apparently.....there seems to be a lack of sense of humour too.....ciao....wont be wastin my time further.....u can have the last word if u want....cheers.....
Yes, there is some sexism. Faith in religion is just one thing on a long list of things needing done away with. I haven't experienced a lot (transgender feminist), but it does exist.
I've never been able to understand how someone who is supposedly a proponent of equality can identify themselves with feminism, it seems to me that the vast majority of feminists are more masculine and chauvinistic than the majority of the men they claim are opressing and objectifying them.
I feel that the feminist position simply exacerbates the enmity between the sexes, something that shouldn't even be a factor, but is allowed and even encouraged to be.
I feel the exact same about the atheist/theist fights that errupt here. By taking the opposing side in a debate, one tends to 'stand up' to opposition with equal & opposite force making some atheists no better than the exact people they condemn!
@MrAudiovideodisco You've made my day, you're complete and utter FAIL! You have no idea what feminism is do you? If you can find a broader brush I'd love to see it, I could paint The Chinese Wall in one stroke.
'Feminism', in it's more broad use is about establishing an equal playing field for women. You're just talking about the loudmouths. Hell, even some men are feminists. And it doesn't have anything to do with enmity.
My current understanding of sexism is taken mainly from Simone de Beauvoir's " the second sex" which i have been told is not a good representation of modern feminism, so forgive me if I sounded like an ignorant twat, but I am one.
@MrAudiovideodisco Well, I absolutely loathe Simone de Beauvoir. Unfortunately her 'work' has become somewhat of a base for 'radical feminism'. They're the moral visible variety and therefore feminism gets associated by them. I could go into a long monologue how I find the position abhorrent because I find it both sexist and playing the victim card...
Awesome, that I helped shedding some light on the subject and that you took the time to re-examine your views, that's character!
@Rhysz1 Yeah, looking over my original comment I now realize how not only the current of the idea, but also the execution was less than tasteful. The moral of the story; don't voice your opinion on ethical and philosophical subjects without a proper understanding of the implications.
@MrAudiovideodisco I'll disagree here with you. You had an opinion and posted it. Someone disagreed and you took the time to compare both arguments and you either came to a different conclusion or you would have backed up your original one. You went through the trouble of figuring that out and replied instead of what some other posters are doing [i.e. forcing their nonsense into proof]. This is what we call exchanging ideas. I'm glad that civil discourse on YT isn't dead sir.
@Rhysz1 The internet has a way of making people feel invincible, along with their ideas. I think it's due to being overwhelmed by so many different voices and opinions that one strives for a superficial identity in the form of being overly stubborn and set in ones ways, especially if they are controversial. Somewhere along the line people forget that you're supposed to try and better yourself rather than reinforce yourself for the sake of being "wise".
@MrAudiovideodisco Well, you seem this as a forum to further educate yourself and develop better and more robust opinions. I can't fault you for that. I've been proven wrong a billion times an it encouraged to look things up.
Well not at the heart of it. Feminism was purely to do with fighting against the inequality women endured compared to men. Of course there will always be those that wish to be top dog (no pun) & as such tend to come off as sumpremists. Now there is a 'mens rights' group trying to form a movement which is quite frankly silly as they are not being discriminated against. In fact feminism & masculinism BOTH exclude trans people - think about it.
@MilitantPeaceist I get what you are saying. And I don't have a problem with any group advocating for their interests. I dare say that the values that, as you say, are at the heart of feminism are probably shared by many philosophies. They are all variations of Bill and Ted's "Be excellent to one another" and will be attractive to any rational person with a sense of decency and compassion. On your last point, I will have to disagree with you, men do suffer discrimination - even whites ones.
On that last point. I do see a shift in privilege that means white males would be 'less' privilaged than they were 40 years ago but I do not see 'discrimination' based on anyone being a) male & b) white.
I have asked quite a few people & no one has answered me - tell me a case where white males are discriminated against?
@MilitantPeaceist There is a clear bias in the court system when it comes to domestic conflicts. These can be either physical or legal (divorce and custody). Legally, on of the net result is that men are routinely denied custody to their children by mere fact that they have a penis. There is a pervasive myth in our culture that women are harmless innocents and men are beasts that must be head in check. Male on female violence is abhorred, while female on male violence is just and funny.
I think you are looking at an outcome without looking at how they arrive at that decision.
The majority of rape & murders are committed within a relationship & the majority of those cases are males. That is a fact. The custody is not about a 'mere penis' as you correlate that to, it is due to work commitments & ability. It is easier for a male to get a job that pays well (same job/better pay) & not the other way around, Custody would be more fair if the employement was fair as well
@MilitantPeaceist I don't see how what you just said relates to my comments. Regarding "the majority of those cases are males". These are only the reported cases. A male that is beaten by a female is not very likely to seek police help. In deed, it is quite likely that the police officer will laugh in the man's face a say he deserved it. Meanwhile, if a man tries to defend himself from a female assault by pushing her away - he goes to jail.
@solinoure Well in fact it is so prevelant that law enforcement & detectives will always look to the partner 1st as a suspect in a murder case. It is a fact, not a notion. Rape is dofferent to bashing or violence yet due to a certain part of the brain called the hypothalamus (fight or flight) which is larger in bodies subject to 'T' (mainly males).
@solinoure ... Alot of what you are saying is conjecture, pardon me for being forthright in saying this. My grandfather was a defense barrister & what I am stating are known facts that are delivered by specialists in this field at court cases.
The hypothalamus sizes up (intrinsically) whether it is worth staying & fighting or leaving the scene for survival reasons & by default, females are often of a smaller build than a male that has had the steroid testosterone pumping through their bodies.
@MiIitantPeaceist I am having a hard time understanding you. Are you making some sort of point or just spouting information. I get it that men tend to be bigger than women. And that testosterone makes us a little more testy.
But as long as this is about spewing random info. Here is some for you: Women are several times more likely to murder their own children that men are. On average, children are safer with the father than they are with the mother.
@solinoure I made no claim regarding child safety. You made a positive claim:
"Women are several times more likely to murder their own children that men are. On average, children are safer with the father than they are with the mother."
Can you please support your statement? You made the claim, I would like to examine your sources; I even asked nicely.
Unless, of course, you're just here to spew sarcasm and cheap shots in an attempt to "win the internet" and "have the last word".
@solinoure I wasn't going to comment on any of this but as you earned the award for being able to google for confirmationbias I'd like to point out you can't even get that right. No where in the actual paper your sources refer to do they say women murder there children 3 times more often what they DO say is "ONE THIRD of fatalities were perpetrated just by their mothers." If your going to quote a source actually read the SOURCE not some BS website that back up the opinion you already hold.
@solinoure Thank-you. Still not jibing on my end. Sorry. Please note the citation you provided addresses abuse, not murder. Your claim was:
"Women are several times more likely to murder their own children that men are."
Again, do you have any citations for your claim. Also, please highlight the relevant parts that indicate such child murders are solely (or even primarily) a function of gender, and not due to other issues such as poverty, abandonment, and mental illness.
@DmKrispin You know what, I am not going to play your game. I am not going to spend my day as your fetch-it boy to try and convince you that mothers value their children less than fathers do.
This conversation is done. Go feel superior if you want. I am sure you snidely demand exhaustive citations every time someone says anything less that flattering to you.
Onus is on you. Show ME a study that says otherwise.
@solinoure "You know what, I am not going to play your game. I am not going to spend my day as your fetch-it boy to try and convince you that mothers value their children less than fathers do."
Either you misspoke or you're in need of some serious, and I mean VERY expensive, help.
Actually, the 'Burden of proof' is on you, you made a claim now back it up sunshine.
What does it have to do with valuing their children? It's understandable that Mothers are more likely to kill their children when you consider things like postnatal depression. I'd say mental illness plays a large part in why women kill their children, I don't believe the high rates have are at all do with valuing children.
@ScouseCaspaXS Its not what is in a mother's heart, but what she DOES that defines her. And the statistics bear out that a mother is more likely to hurt or kill their child.
And, regarding mental illness, I'll take that one step further, and say that mental illness plays a large part in the abuse all humans put each other through.
Well, I think that's a bit black and white really, but each to their own. Do you have any statics on Mothers vs Fathers abusing children? I think it's reasonable to state that women kill their children more often than men, but you do have to consider the factors and I would certainly say depression, such as postnatal depression, play a big part those statics.
Sol, you are acting like a brat here. Either you can be an adult & act in a manner that suits the conversation or you can continue to be childish & reinforce to man haters exactly why males are thick as a brick!
@MiIitantPeaceist It doesn't matter what I do. Virtually anything, I do will reinforce their hatred. And if it doesn't do that it will breed contempt. As a child I endured the sex wars. I watched that movement wreck families. I watched my mother and other kids mothers make their husbands pay for the sins of other men. I have seen too much nastiness from women against men. I have no sympathy for feminists, they had none for me when I was a child. My jokes are harmless in comparison.
@solinoure Ok first this is MY video , you seem to have missed that somewhere along the line.I AM the "nice lady" (cringe) so I get notified EVERY TIME YOU POST.You wanna compare war wounds &use that as a reason to spout hatred & bigotry? ok fine. I am an incest survivor,& surprise surprise it wasn't my mother. So there ya go one for you one for me, moot point , & not what the damned video was about int he first place. Please keep changing the goal posts to support your bigotry. get over it
@nelliediddle I'm so sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I know quite a few women who suffered rape or incest. It is a tragedy. Not all men are like that. Just like not all women not all women are men haters. I have a knee jerk reaction to the word feminism, and I didn't expect this shitstorm when I posted my personal opinion.
This will be my last post in this thread. So you won't see anymore messages on this from me.
I honestly do think you are a nice person, and decent enough to not block me.
@solinoure OK I have NEVER ever said ALL men are anything. I purposely avoid doing that because it is not an argument with any validity. What I would really like is for people to look at how g there "opinion" is bigoted and take a step back. EVERYONE has bigoted opinions, the true bigot continue to hold them even when all the evidence around them point to a different conclusion.
@solinoure You seem to be missing the point. You made a claim (sveral as the thread went on) that didn't have do anything with the posted video. However, "Not all men are like that", furthermore, you said you have a "knee jerk reaction". Seems to me that you're motivated by something else.
You didn't state it as a personal opinion you stated it as a fact. Sorry, that is a cop-out.
Imagining you're the bigger person by walking away after you've been proven wrong? Doesn't make you a hero!
@solinoure You weren't joking. We now see clearly from this post where your misogyny comes from. I'm sorry that you apparently had a horrible mother & grew up in such an acrimonious environment. How very sad. I hope you can take some comfort in the fact that I am working VERY hard to raise my son with love, understanding, kindness, support, education, & respect for BOTH sexes. I'm also encouraging him to think critically & not condemn ALL women/men/blacks/Jews/Muslims for the sins of the few.
What you neglect here is that correlation =/= causation. If more mothers have custody & less fathers do & then the stats of abuse are almost equal - what do you think will happen if more fathers get custody?
Your argument could me made like this also ~ More pet owners are attacked by their pets than non pet owners therefore a non pet owner is liked more by pets than pet owners.
Unless of course that paper is soley regarding 'custodial sole parents'.
@MiIitantPeaceist No I haven't. I just simply know the correlation. Murders by mommy = 3 x murders by daddy.
Get over it. The statistics bear it out . Mothers abuse children more than fathers. Wah! Women aren't perfect, men aren't the perpetual victimizers that your selfesteem needs them to be to feel good about yourself.
You showed a paper on abuse. You keep citing that it means murders. Can you please clarrify what you are reading 1st. Have you presented a paper that deals with murders only yet that I have missed?
I think you need to calm down here as I have not ever put you down in any of my comments. "Get over it" is quite pathetic within the discussion between adults.
Again, you give information that more mother 'Kill' their children than fathers yet you also say that mothers get custody more,
If 3 x more mothers get custody of the children, don;y you think that it is then more like that there will be more cases of this proposed event occurring? I still havent seen a paper on this 3 x more likely to 'Kill' their babis but even that were to be true, that would only be due to more mothers having custody.
If fathers abuse their children as much as mothers when they have less custody, don't you think that says more about the frequency of father abuse?
The thing I noticed with a lot of male atheists on youtube is that they are not open to questioning their own beliefs about women or sexism. They react as badly to feminists on issues such as porn or prostitution as some fundamentalist christians do on issues like abortion. What explains this?

There is sexism on the net, I notice every time a women comments somewhere , will always be an idiot replying to her , and telling her to go back to the kitchen or to go make a sandwich. I think most men are sexist, atheist or religious, I always had a feeling that most men consider them self’s superior to women(I could be wrong).but those types of comments usually come from teens or guys in their early 20´s that are only atheist to appear smarter, and hide behind their computer.

One needs only to watch aghast the recent attacks on feminists to see that there's really vile sexism in the atheist 'community'. There are a lot of men out there who feel emasculated by strong women. Men who stand with the feminists tend to get attacked too. It's all very repugnant and retrogressive.
geffel 8 months ago
@geffel I'm a guy and I agree with some feminists. However I have met some women that call themselves feminists that don't want equality amount men and women. They want all the things other feminists want but they also want the things that are unfair that favor females. Things like a child typically defaults to the mother, a guy is expected to pay for all dates, the cops should always take her side, and even if she hits a man he shouldn't defend himself.
systematic101 8 months ago
@systematic101 I have every episode of Cops and noticed there is a domestic dispute in almost every episode. I think the woman was taken away maybe 3 times out of over 600 incidences. In one particular case the woman stabbed the guy in his left arm. The guy called the cops and when they arrived the woman was standing beside the knife. Even though it was the mans house he got taken away because she had a bruise on her right wrist.

Also I feel that in the current climate I am disadvantaged for being a man. I know girls who have gotten work and placements over me just because they are girls. Because I have better grades than them and I do better work than them, in some cases ALOT better. But they get the jobs because they have vagina's. It pisses me off. At least I'm not white because then I would be utterly screwed.
daymyth 8 months ago
@daymyth special pleading. If find one case of a woman being passed ove for a job even though she has better qualifications then your point is null and void. You may "feel" like this but it's no more valid than the KKK feeling like "They're takin our JERBS!"
nelliediddle 8 months ago
@nelliediddle It's the general climate of "affirmative action", I know it's true because I exploit the same system that I despise, I'm a colored immigrant. And I know I've gotten work over other qualified white males. Affirmative action is an actual thing, so I'm fairly certain my point is valid. It would be fine if it was the individual prejudices of the employer, that I could live with as being an individual thing, but when it's the whole culture. Like I said, at least I'm not white.
daymyth 8 months ago
@nelliediddle If you require a woman to do my speaking for me, consider Christina Hoff Sommers and her book "The War Against Boys: How Misguided Feminism Is Harming Our Young Men". Oh how I love feminists like her, seeking ACTUAL equality. In general there tends to be an atmosphere against men, it's harder for men to retain custody of children, come out worse in divorce trails, sexual harassment is essentially only a women's thing, court sentences in general are worse for men.
daymyth 8 months ago
@daymyth WHERE did you get that I require a "Woman" to do the speaking for you? change the word "men" for "white" and see if it triggers any alarm bells for you. What I am saying is the attitude regardless of who is using it is not reality. I find one Feminist book which shows the opposite "Backlash" by Susan Faludi, and we are back to the stale mate of perspectives.
nelliediddle 8 months ago
@nelliediddle Okay your right. I will go away and look and see if I can find published meta statistics one way or the other, we may even end up both being right. That said I do remember an experiment about having an anglo saxon name makes it more likely an employer will respond to you than the same resume with an ethnic sounding name. So I'm probably wrong about the thanking I wasn't white. Damn another reason to be white other than Japanese girls.
daymyth 8 months ago
@daymyth the whole point of my video is that sexism exists in ALL of us. Bigotry exists in ALL of us. That sometimes we need to step back from what we "feel" and think about it. And that of course it exists in the Atheist community because we are a group of humans who live in society and are affected by it, we are exempt because we don't believe in gods
nelliediddle 8 months ago
@nelliediddle Sure and in general I can agree with that. But you had points which were clearly wrong "The internet is a giant sausage factory" See my response below from yesterday. And mentioned land rights for natives "rightfully so"over immigrants (which I think is bs because I believe in equality) I guess you rambled alot so I got muddled up with your general msg with specifics I disagreed with. Re-listening to your audio your main points are agreeable and what you said was quite reasonable.
daymyth 8 months ago
@daymyth "clearly wrong" because you found Facebook had more women than men? so the internet consists of Youtube & facebook..good to know. I won't worry about Reddit, 4chan, or any other place on the web where things are discussed. Actually I never brought up "land rights " at any point. I talked about "Status" which is an entirely different matter all together.
nelliediddle 8 months ago
@nelliediddle Fine, Pew Internet & American Life Project data shows that of US Adults in 2007 78% of Males use the internet and 75% of females, pretty damn close. Of course there will be uneven gender distributions depending on what site you visit like there will be age differences dependent on what MMO you play, I used facebook and youtube as I thought the most significant examples because they represent a medium which the majority of users use.
daymyth 8 months ago
@nelliediddle Status is equally bs, the idea that you have privilege because of your decedents, I really despise that idea. I don't like playing games of who was here first, and what my ansectors did to your ansestors. I don't like the ideas of sins of the father.
I am an Australian immigrant of 20 years, my friends great uncle immigrated as Chinese railway worker, your ancestors migrated here on the indo-chinese land-bridge about 40,000 years and proceeded to genocide the local humanoids.

But can't we leave the past behind us and get along as equals? Where we are all treated equally and we all strive for the same thing?
daymyth 8 months ago
Just FYI, youtube is 51% female, facebook is 55% female. I just googled it because I wasn't sure, also youtube is 54% 24-34 year olds so not teenagers. Perhaps it is that statistically a teenage male is more likely to make a comment or you only really notice and remember the comments that offend you, there is probably another factor and it most likely has to do with you being the variable.
daymyth 8 months ago
@daymyth you keep assuming I'm not for equality or that I am for an animal farm equality. How is ignoring the things that has led to inequity going to lead to a balance? Status may be BS in your eyes, and thats fine , but the fact it the aborigines here are living under inequitable circumstances. Giving them the ability to move out of those circumstances IS about creating equity. Things are not equal NOW, so there will be a shifting in balance to create equity. Of course the people who...
nelliediddle 8 months ago
@nelliediddle people who already have the majority of the power FEEL like they are being discriminated against. For someone who's so hot on equality you need to reexamine the language you use Yours & mine..we are all immigrants... true. I'm not actually talking about THAT I'm talking about people who have historically been discriminated against... & not back to the settlers come visit a "reserve" here follow the history of what was done then tell me how you suggest equality will be gained.
nelliediddle 8 months ago
@nelliediddle But those situations can be applied to many poor rural people. How about you create a system where shifting the balance for equality is not based on heritage, gender or race that's what I'm asking for. Rural white people, poor white people also need help and could benefit from the same infrastructure. I am okay with reperation if YOU are the one that was directly effected (say in the case of the stolen generation) but not if it was your parents or grandparents. And historically...
daymyth 8 months ago
@nelliediddle alot of shit happened. Even to my grandparents, by the British, some of it was good and some of it was bad. But that was then and this is now, we are not discriminated against now (well not by society or by anyone that matters) and I do not need special laws to protect me more than someone else (even if new anti-discrimination laws were put into place last year as a response to my race) because I just really don't like that. What I want is for race not to be a demographic.

Jeffersonwazright 8 months ago
@Jeffersonwazright dude if you think I correct spelling for any reason other than it happens to be a word that means something completely different you've never had nay communication with me. I'm a dyslexic typos & spelling issues are my feast. nelliediddle 8 months ago
Jeffersonwazright 8 months ago
@Jeffersonwazright It was NEVER stated at any point in anything I said that there are as many or more in the atheist community. It Was explicitly stated that it exists, as you proved with your own examples. This idea that the "Atheist" community is above this kind of thing is as much bullshit as the whole concept of a group of Atheists being anything more than a loose affiliation of people who have ONE thing in common
nelliediddle 8 months ago
@Jeffersonwazright "the holy text are the problem"...erm sorry if you were insulted..but that sounds exactly like the opposite argument... you said they are the problem not that they exacerbate an existing problem or that they are part of a greater problem. Te words you have chosen to use are the only thing I can understand what you are trying to say. If the 500 characters is too little please feel fre to make a video
nelliediddle 8 months ago
@nelliediddle Fine. I will change my stance. The holy texts are the current problem. Video is on the way.

@Jeffersonwazright I look forward to it. Although I may still not agree that "they are the current problem" rather that they are part of an on going problem.I'm not saying you have to change your stance I'm saying I don't agree with it whole heartedly.
nelliediddle 8 months ago
@nelliediddle Ok so the camera is not working right now so i will close with this. To make a video of atheists and sexism is like going to war with Iraq because of 911. Yea , you have a tiny little pathogen of sexism (cause for war) floating around in there somewhere but ultimately your argument is moot. Go to any mature atheist gathering and you will see nothing but solidarity from males and females. Stay cool with the people who are cool w you. Curtail your feminism in the name of comradery.
Jeffersonwazright 8 months ago
@nelliediddle and religion is the enemy. I admit from time to time I think that a woman should not be my boss- but I find myself only feeling that way when it is an emotional, irrational type of female- which often they are. If a woman is cool, calm, and collected I am usually cool with her being my boss. And no offense but your videos portray you as not cool, not calm, and not collected. You behave in an emotional state that makes it hard to know if you are rational. Anyways, that be it.
Jeffersonwazright 8 months ago
@Jeffersonwazright Don't play the "emotion" card. I'm a guy, and from some women I've dealt with, this lady is cool as can be. Given the situation, she is behaving quite well. When men as a group feel threatened, they tend to go to war and slaughter those in their way. Women have shut up and taken it so long, and are expected to, that I'm surprised they haven't formed their own army and waged physical war. Using the "emotional" argument is nothing more than an easy out by "creating" a flaw.
LordAntonis 8 months ago
@LordAntonis I am not playing an emotion card or creating a flaw. I have a hard time trusting people who lead with their heart (so to speak) and not their head. It can be both male and female that I take away my trust from. Usually women lead with emotion and are just now evolving into the rational state of mind that SOME men have. Take Hillary Clinton for example- rational as fuck. Take Sarah Palin- typical woman that leads with her heart (so to speak) and irrational as fuck.
Jeffersonwazright 8 months ago
@Jeffersonwazright I agree that it isn't wise to make decisions based on emotions (except for compassion and empathy) yet when it comes to women, they can be as clear headed as possible, but if someone doesn't like their point, it's just easier to brush it off on emotions to invalidate the point instead of dealing with it, such as with this woman. If people didn't falsely label quite so often I'd be more inclined to take them seriously. Btw, both Clinton and Palin are dingbats. IMO
LordAntonis 8 months ago
@LordAntonis Clinton is not a dingbat man. That lady is so cold and calculated that she could probably reverse global warming if she wanted to. Anyways, I agree with most of what you said. Women are evolving to understand that they can also rule. I welcome the evolution The problem is that evolution is never fun.
Jeffersonwazright 8 months ago
@solinoure You might also be interested in knowing that I do not self-identify as a feminist. See, unlike YOU, I actually was a child of the "sex wars". I grew up in the socially tumultuous 1970s, and the word "feminist" was almost always uttered with spite, contempt, or dismissiveness.
I am not a label, and I embrace and support equal rights and opportunities for BOTH sexes, all races, all gender identities/sexual orientations, etc.
DmKrispin 8 months ago

It is just an observation.

I passed myself off as a woman of about 22 who billed herself as an agnostic. I was really shocked at the crude sexist attacks directed at "her". Very seldom did anyone engage with the ideas presented, ideas which I had earlier presented as a man and received favorable responses. It was an eye opener!

Yes, there is some sexism. Faith in religion is just one thing on a long list of things needing done away with. I haven't experienced a lot (transgender feminist), but it does exist.
Jaybird196 8 months ago
I've never been able to understand how someone who is supposedly a proponent of equality can identify themselves with feminism, it seems to me that the vast majority of feminists are more masculine and chauvinistic than the majority of the men they claim are opressing and objectifying them.
I feel that the feminist position simply exacerbates the enmity between the sexes, something that shouldn't even be a factor, but is allowed and even encouraged to be.
But yes, youtube sexism, it exists.
MrAudiovideodisco 8 months ago
@MrAudiovideodisco
I feel the exact same about the atheist/theist fights that errupt here. By taking the opposing side in a debate, one tends to 'stand up' to opposition with equal & opposite force making some atheists no better than the exact people they condemn!
MilitantPeaceist 8 months ago
@MrAudiovideodisco You've made my day, you're complete and utter FAIL! You have no idea what feminism is do you? If you can find a broader brush I'd love to see it, I could paint The Chinese Wall in one stroke.
'Feminism', in it's more broad use is about establishing an equal playing field for women. You're just talking about the loudmouths. Hell, even some men are feminists. And it doesn't have anything to do with enmity.
You're also missing the point of Nellie's video.

Rhysz1 8 months ago
@Rhysz1 Thanks, I learn something new everyday.
My current understanding of sexism is taken mainly from Simone de Beauvoir's " the second sex" which i have been told is not a good representation of modern feminism, so forgive me if I sounded like an ignorant twat, but I am one.
peace.
MrAudiovideodisco 8 months ago

MrAudiovideodisco 8 months ago

Feminism is every bit as invalid as Masculinism. Both are bigotry, Both advocate the supremacy of one sex over another.
Feminism is female supremacy.
Masculinism is male supremacy.
I subscribe to personism.
solinoure 8 months ago
@solinoure
Personism sounds good 8) Humanity 8D
MilitantPeaceist 8 months ago
@MilitantPeaceist I get what you are saying. And I don't have a problem with any group advocating for their interests. I dare say that the values that, as you say, are at the heart of feminism are probably shared by many philosophies. They are all variations of Bill and Ted's "Be excellent to one another" and will be attractive to any rational person with a sense of decency and compassion. On your last point, I will have to disagree with you, men do suffer discrimination - even whites ones.
solinoure 8 months ago
@solinoure

Male on female violence is abhorred, while female on male violence is just and funny.
solinoure 8 months ago
@solinoure
I think you are looking at an outcome without looking at how they arrive at that decision.
The majority of rape & murders are committed within a relationship & the majority of those cases are males. That is a fact. The custody is not about a 'mere penis' as you correlate that to, it is due to work commitments & ability. It is easier for a male to get a job that pays well (same job/better pay) & not the other way around, Custody would be more fair if the employement was fair as well
MilitantPeaceist 8 months ago
@MilitantPeaceist I don't see how what you just said relates to my comments. Regarding "the majority of those cases are males". These are only the reported cases. A male that is beaten by a female is not very likely to seek police help. In deed, it is quite likely that the police officer will laugh in the man's face a say he deserved it. Meanwhile, if a man tries to defend himself from a female assault by pushing her away - he goes to jail.
solinoure 8 months ago
@solinoure Well in fact it is so prevelant that law enforcement & detectives will always look to the partner 1st as a suspect in a murder case. It is a fact, not a notion. Rape is dofferent to bashing or violence yet due to a certain part of the brain called the hypothalamus (fight or flight) which is larger in bodies subject to 'T' (mainly males).
...
MiIitantPeaceist 8 months ago
@solinoure ... Alot of what you are saying is conjecture, pardon me for being forthright in saying this. My grandfather was a defense barrister & what I am stating are known facts that are delivered by specialists in this field at court cases.
The hypothalamus sizes up (intrinsically) whether it is worth staying & fighting or leaving the scene for survival reasons & by default, females are often of a smaller build than a male that has had the steroid testosterone pumping through their bodies.
MiIitantPeaceist 8 months ago
@MiIitantPeaceist I am having a hard time understanding you. Are you making some sort of point or just spouting information. I get it that men tend to be bigger than women. And that testosterone makes us a little more testy.
But as long as this is about spewing random info. Here is some for you: Women are several times more likely to murder their own children that men are. On average, children are safer with the father than they are with the mother.
solinoure 8 months ago
@solinoure Please cite your credible, primary sources for this claim. Thank-you.

solinoure 8 months ago
@solinoure I made no claim regarding child safety. You made a positive claim:
"Women are several times more likely to murder their own children that men are. On average, children are safer with the father than they are with the mother."
Can you please support your statement? You made the claim, I would like to examine your sources; I even asked nicely.
Unless, of course, you're just here to spew sarcasm and cheap shots in an attempt to "win the internet" and "have the last word".
DmKrispin 8 months ago
@DmKrispin If that doesn't convince you. Google for your self.

And "mothers more likely to abuse their children"
You find an avalanche of articles.
solinoure 8 months ago
@DmKrispin ah what the hell...
here: Mothers Abuse Children 3 Times more than Dads – Federal HHS Statistics
There is your credible citation. Women are three times more likely to abuse their children, which jives perfectly with my experience.
solinoure 8 months ago
@solinoure I wasn't going to comment on any of this but as you earned the award for being able to google for confirmationbias I'd like to point out you can't even get that right. No where in the actual paper your sources refer to do they say women murder there children 3 times more often what they DO say is "ONE THIRD of fatalities were perpetrated just by their mothers." If your going to quote a source actually read the SOURCE not some BS website that back up the opinion you already hold.
nelliediddle 8 months ago
@solinoure Thank-you. Still not jibing on my end. Sorry. Please note the citation you provided addresses abuse, not murder. Your claim was:
"Women are several times more likely to murder their own children that men are."
Again, do you have any citations for your claim. Also, please highlight the relevant parts that indicate such child murders are solely (or even primarily) a function of gender, and not due to other issues such as poverty, abandonment, and mental illness.
DmKrispin 8 months ago
@DmKrispin You know what, I am not going to play your game. I am not going to spend my day as your fetch-it boy to try and convince you that mothers value their children less than fathers do.
This conversation is done. Go feel superior if you want. I am sure you snidely demand exhaustive citations every time someone says anything less that flattering to you.
Onus is on you. Show ME a study that says otherwise.

Actually, the 'Burden of proof' is on you, you made a claim now back it up sunshine.

@solinoure
What does it have to do with valuing their children? It's understandable that Mothers are more likely to kill their children when you consider things like postnatal depression. I'd say mental illness plays a large part in why women kill their children, I don't believe the high rates have are at all do with valuing children.
ScouseCaspaXS 8 months ago
@ScouseCaspaXS Its not what is in a mother's heart, but what she DOES that defines her. And the statistics bear out that a mother is more likely to hurt or kill their child.
And, regarding mental illness, I'll take that one step further, and say that mental illness plays a large part in the abuse all humans put each other through.
solinoure 8 months ago
@solinoure
ScouseCaspaXS 8 months ago
@solinoure
Now here I have to straighten up your view as you are again seeing an outcome & painting the scenario.
1st you say there is bias in the custody of children given to females/mothers which means more females/mothers have custody of children.
2nd you say they are more likely to abuse given statistics.

MiIitantPeaceist 8 months ago

Please keep changing the goal posts to support your bigotry. get over it
nelliediddle 8 months ago
@nelliediddle I'm so sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I know quite a few women who suffered rape or incest. It is a tragedy. Not all men are like that. Just like not all women not all women are men haters. I have a knee jerk reaction to the word feminism, and I didn't expect this shitstorm when I posted my personal opinion.
This will be my last post in this thread. So you won't see anymore messages on this from me.
I honestly do think you are a nice person, and decent enough to not block me.
solinoure 8 months ago
@solinoure OK I have NEVER ever said ALL men are anything. I purposely avoid doing that because it is not an argument with any validity. What I would really like is for people to look at how g there "opinion" is bigoted and take a step back. EVERYONE has bigoted opinions, the true bigot continue to hold them even when all the evidence around them point to a different conclusion.

MilitantPeaceist 8 months ago
@solinoure You seem to be missing the point. You made a claim (sveral as the thread went on) that didn't have do anything with the posted video. However, "Not all men are like that", furthermore, you said you have a "knee jerk reaction". Seems to me that you're motivated by something else.
You didn't state it as a personal opinion you stated it as a fact. Sorry, that is a cop-out.
Imagining you're the bigger person by walking away after you've been proven wrong? Doesn't make you a hero!
Rhysz1 8 months ago
@solinoure You weren't joking. We now see clearly from this post where your misogyny comes from. I'm sorry that you apparently had a horrible mother & grew up in such an acrimonious environment. How very sad. I hope you can take some comfort in the fact that I am working VERY hard to raise my son with love, understanding, kindness, support, education, & respect for BOTH sexes. I'm also encouraging him to think critically & not condemn ALL women/men/blacks/Jews/Muslims for the sins of the few.
DmKrispin 8 months ago
@solinoure ...
MiIitantPeaceist 8 months ago
@MiIitantPeaceist No I haven't. I just simply know the correlation. Murders by mommy = 3 x murders by daddy.
Get over it. The statistics bear it out . Mothers abuse children more than fathers. Wah! Women aren't perfect, men aren't the perpetual victimizers that your selfesteem needs them to be to feel good about yourself.
solinoure 8 months ago
@solinoure
Again, you give information that more mother 'Kill' their children than fathers yet you also say that mothers get custody more,
MiIitantPeaceist 8 months ago
@solinoure In other words.
