For those who don't know, this car isn't a poser. It was designed for the days when NASCAR only allowed cars that were available to the public. The spoiler is functional and generates real downforce on a race track. You can sit people on top of it and it won't break. Unlike most cars where the spoiler is a piece of plastic attached with a few screws.

That is your basic 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner "Superbird" - probably 383 Hemi - I'm thinkin 4 on the floor pistol grip shifter - and prolly somewhere in the neighborhood of about 4 miles per gallon - you hit the gas and you can actually see the gas needle move!!!!!!! And you gotta keep your doors locked - women just jump into this monster!!!!!!!! This was the best of the best of the last of the muscle cars!!!!!!!!

Manufacturers need to go back to the old times and start making rides like tihs again. Not sorta of like these or close to, but right down to the frame. Get rid of the pollution control crap and electronics. They have enough money, and it's very possible. American muscle is dying slowly and it's ver sad. Yes we left the car show together. I'm driving a 1970 Monte Carlo with a 71 hood ornament. It's also a 4speed car, but not orig. I did it my self and recommend it to anyone with a first Gen Monte. Very easy! Lots of fun!

Yeah They were my favorite years, My grandmother used to have one back when I was a kid, and I'm not saying that to pick on ya, she loved muscle cars LOL!, before that she had a 68 Cougar XR-7 with a 428 LOL! My ride's not so beefy though, I drive a 57 Plymouth.

Probably not, unless Hawaii had Plymouth dealerships in 1970.  As per the rules at the time, they built 1,920 Superbirds, one for every two dealerships.

It was a one year model, so there were only 1,920 in all. I doubt there are many, if any, in Hawaii, considering the hassles of shipping.
