I don't know about you guys, but I really like the "voice acting" in twilight princess... you know, the nonsensical words? I feel like the Zelda franchise would degrade from worded scripts... I think Zelda and Link should speak, but like Midna, not actually say anything in any language. Of course, that would mean that subtitles would still be required, but I feel like I loved Midna's character the best cause she actually "spoke".

I thought I'd never ask this, but thumbs up if you agree on this.

most Zelda games starting with and following OoT have had these sad endings...Link usually has Zelda or in TP-Midna- hint a bit of a love interest towards him and it's a can't be together kind of thing like in OoT, Link and Zelda can't be together because Zelda winds up as a sage and Link needs to relive his lost seven years...

and in this...light and shadow can't mix...

and note that Zelda played a fairly small roll in this game and didn't really "know" link to begin with

Allegedly it is Link's expression and the fact that she said "I..." in the last moments. Personally i'd be pissed if they made Link officially with anyone. Link should be bisexual and be with noone because it shouldn't alienate anyone. It should be about gameplay not his love interest.

After the battle with Zelda-Gannon look at the way Midna leans on Link's (or I guess "Rob's") shoulder. Also when, after you beat Ganon (beast form) Midna makes a motion to sacrifice herself and Link tries to stop her but she transports him away. Look at their expressions. It speaks volumes. Plus, the whole running across the field to see if she's alright thing. And this heart-wrenching last scene.

"Shadow and light can't mix." Meaning that Midna and Link can't be together even if they wanted to be. Although they don't really start a "relationship," you can tell there are feelings there. Look at their faces! Midna destroys the mirror to prevent either her or Link from giving in to the temptation of "mixing light and shadow." It's a selfless act to save their worlds. And it's one of the most tragic and beautiful endings that I've ever seen in a game.

As well as that saying goes, from my perspective, she also did it to prevent the events that happened between them and the world of light from becoming real again. Zant may have died, but evil still lurks in the twilight, and who knows, there may be a sequel to the legend of zelda for all we know! =3 maybe she'll return, and maybe things can be better, but your right, that act was very selfless, and very courageous too... this ending always brings me to tears...TRY2 WATCH IT ON A FLAT SCREEN TV!
