you could also use a long eye beading needle to thread your styler pen. It was nice meeting you in Listowel today Mike. I look forward to seeing you next month!
I've seen tons of videos of old ladies and teenage girls explaining how to knit and how easy it is, but this is the first video that I understand. Well done.
Great pattern! I would love to make a shag rug. Would this pattern work for a rug? If not, would there be a pattern to make a loom shag rug? Thanks!!!
I think if you bend a piece of flora wire (or any kind of wire actually) in half - it should be longer than your STYLER PEN, put the two free ends into the Pen; leaving out the loop in the wire on one end. Feed the yarn or yarns through the wire loop bringing it through about six inches or so. Then Simply pull the wire through the Pen and it will 'thread' the yard through! Hope this helps. (and makes sense).
Oh My!! I meant to Thank You for this tutorial. My Sister and I have tried to figure out how to make one of these loopy scarves that I saw in a shop - and neither one of us have ever created anything that looks even close! So again, MUCH Appreciation!!
Simply bend a piece of floral wire in half and stick the two free ends into the Styler Pen then string the yarn through the wire loop and then pull the wire by the free ends straight through the Styler Pen - it will carry your yarn/yarns right on through! VOILA threaded Styler Pen!
@Stephy27Pooh You could use two strands of red heart but it not going to look the same......the fun fur makes it have certain look that plain yarn can't copy..........Chanel @ mikeys help desk ;)
I made this scarf last night...LOVE IT!!! I did it in a very soft furry black and sparkley black, it is gorgeous!!! Mike I love your videos. I've learned everything I know from you.
Do you know if its possible to do this on one of the round looms? The round ones are easier to take with you because they aren't as bulky. Thank you!!!
@redlexi45 agreed... music has been taken out of the recent videos as a result. A viewer commented so I ran a test... The music hides background noises... my furnance pops on and off during filming but I think people are fine for that. Thanks again for your feedback.
i am thrilled that there is a video for this scarf. my aunt made a scarf for me like this. but not with a loom. i can only loom knit. or should i say, i have refused to do anything but. :) thank you so much!
mike can you do this viedo over agagin with yarn not the fuzzy stuff cause i really cant see what you are doing the fuzzy yarn gets in the way and i really wanna make this ?? and i just made a styler pen i had some pens when i went to the doctor today and they gave me two pens red and green lol christamas colors but they have the doctor name and everything lol
@Stephy27Pooh hello mikey cant do the video over because the videos he makes take a lot of time to film and edit and it also costs money to make them...sorry!

@velvetwallpaper hello this is chanel from mickeys helpdesk....i know that this little wooden thing is something mickey made to help him out while making tutorials!
To all that replied, (((thanks)))!! great ideas everyone and Mikey, I guess I missed the pipe cleaner tut, I think it's going to work the best! I've been using a thin skewer that has only half assed worked because of a BIG loop @ the end of the metal.
i'm a knitting noob, and i've never seen anything like this. string is amazing, in the right hands with the right tools. needless to say, i am very impressed by this technique. xD cool tutorial =D
These are the kinds of videos that made me really enjoy watching you. This kind of innovation in technique and the actual craft is what really got me hooked. I think it's your strong suit ;)
@TIsbell68, I use a bread tie like a giant needle threader, I double it over, put the yarn in the bread tie loop, then thread that through the styler.
@TIsbell68 I have a tutorial on the STYLER PEN itself... I use a pipe cleaner to pull the yarn through or you can use something to jam it down through the top... but the pipe cleaner is the easiest idea.
