We know what we know today about the Genome project because Francis Collins, a theist, directed the research the way he did. Science and religion are compatible, and he is proof of that.

I have argued with theists. Sure, the majority of them are closed minded, but I have seen a few who were willing to concede and admit defeat. I myself stopped being a Christian because of arguments I've seen against it, ones that I didn't find any refutations for to be logical. You failed to explain any delusional thing that Francis did or said aside from his belief in his religion. Using that as a reason to expel him from the Human Genome Project is discrimination. If he purposefully clouded or twisted the research, then that would be a reason to expel him, but there is no evidence to suggest that he has.

They exist today as figments of imagination, as products of our worship, as Maria, Christ, Allah etc., and they used to exist as humans, benevolent rulers.
