It's a leap of faith on Arizona's part that Callie was raised to be "strong and caring and honorable". She's already taking a brave stance to talk to Callie's Dad and her speech seems to affect him since he later accepts their relationship. Interesting that she tells him "I love your daughter" before telling Callie herself.
I agree with you all...that speech was amazing..especially when she said "my father is not a man who bends, but he bend for me, because I'm his daughter"
i always cry when i watch this scene, its so emotional and powerful. i was overwhelmed by this speech and it really showed me who arizona was, and about her family aswell
