I love Aer Lingus, they're the best airline ever. I'll happily pay that little extra to fly with them. Going to Nice in July, and I'm so looking forward to it. I've booked Ryanair in the past, but I always feel tension when I'm booked with them- which ruins my holidays. You can't beat Aer Lingus staff.
I lived in London for a few years in the 80s/early 90s. I'd reach Heathrow Airport and see the AL shamrock - I felt I was already home before I even got on the plane.

Having flown with you for two years it has always been a good experience. My main flights are Gatwick to Malaga and I hope that you keep this schedule going for many years. Nice people to fly with.
Nice video that reflects the big improvement made in the customer satisfaction and the last benefits given to the passagers with free seat allocation and checked baggage ! With this last improvement and more numerous destinations all over Europe you should be able to be far better than Ryan Air ! I used to work for you and was disappointed at that time that the suggestions to improve the Website improvement were not taken in count and I'm glad these changes asked were heard ! Continue this way !
I've flown with a lot of airlines and I keep coming back to Aer Lingus. You do the important things very well. You spoiled us regulars with the hot breakfast but now there aren't enough on the flights for all who would like them. I know times have changed and I know this is a small issue, but you might see what can be done.

Then I we waited 8 weeks with no reply so I wrote again. Two weeks later got a standard type of letter. No proper apology, no compensation, no explanation. They don't care. They erect multiple barriers to put you off going through with your complaint. People: be warned. If the flight is on time and there's no adverse conditions they'll usually get you there in one piece but if ANYTHING goes wrong they don't really care. Be warned
Aer Lingus in 2011 is a shadow of it's former company. When we got stranded for two days we tried to get compensation for expenses incurred, etc. But then we realised what Aer Lingus thinks of their customers - there is nobody you can call with a copmplaint, then they tell you to email, then you get an autoresponse saying they will get back to you, then two weeks later an email saying they don't accept complaints by email and you have to write in or send a signed fax
The Aer Lingus advertsing slogan this year was 'better fare, better care' but this cheap video shows their true colours - shoddy, poor quality, tacky and a couldn't care less attitude. I spent two days stranded in Heathrow airport this year after Aer Lingus dumped myself, my partner and around 30 other passengers in Terminal 1 at 11.30pmat night - all missing connecting international flights. They didn't care, there was nobody to help us, slept on the floor, 2 days to sort it out for ourselves!!
So great to see "Merry Christmas" instead of that lame "happy holidays" that so many U.S. commercial establishments are stuffing down our throats. Good for you, Aer Lingus. It's why I like to fly with you. (Then there is that GREAT accent thing you have going!! Ireland rules!)
