so so sweet how he said i'll love you until the day i die,Winnie Foster knowing he'll never die! just saying i would have drank that water til my innards swelled so i could have a perfect love to last forever with the most beautiful man in the world

i love this movie... i think that if i were in her situation i would have drank the water not so i could live forever but so i could be with jessie forever... cause how could she ever have loved another man knowing the kind of love that was out there with jessie... there love was strong a love that there was no way she could have shared with another man... i would have drank the water and waited 1000 yrs if i had to just so i could be with him oh the beauty of true love
Winnie's decision to live her life is actually a good one. She embraces her mortality and embodies the spirit that she has learned from Jesse and uses it in her life. By doing this she remains true to herself, which I believe is what makes this book infinitely better than Twilight. Instead of following her love like a begging puppy she learns to live life for the moment, and enjoy her life BECAUSE she can't live forever.
I liked the movie until the ending. I mean, when you think of movies like Twilight where she loves him so much she is willing to be with him forever despite any obstacles. That's not what happened in this. I was disappointed. I knew it would happen because I read the book but I hoped the ending would change.
i think why she never drank the water because she remembers what Angus said to her "We're like rocks, stuck at the side of a stream."and if you read the next ending of the book you will see that Angus "Tuck"said "smart girl"
@TheSummerCullen no. The reason why she didn't drink it is bc if you see the ending when he's looking at her grave, the narrator said EXACTLY THIS.
"Tuck said it to Winnie the summer she turned 15: Do not fear death, but rather the unlived life. You don't have to live forever. You just have to live. And she did.
Basically. She lived her life. Which is what Jesse and the rest of the tucks would have wanted for her.

Jesse must have been mad. 1 her last name was JACKSON meaning she got married. 2 it says dear mother, meaning she had kids
