That depends, do you already have the car? A running convertible can cost between 10,000 and 12,000 dollars, and that's not even considering the money that you plan on putting into it.
You can find a running one for $4k. After that it's all cosmetic work and interior work. You can buy a complete interior kit for 500 bucks, and a paint job for less than a thousand. If any metal needs replaced then that will cost a little bit more.
If you want to build one from the ground up, it will cost more and take more work and time, but it will be worth it.
