  • who is the bari player???

  • if he so many wives how did he get aids? he must have been deliberately injected with it.

  • @laurenceable67 Cannibalism in WWII was not a a matter of diet.

Library of Alexandria was established under the patronage of Greek rulers of Egypt - Cleopatra was one, for instance - and contained combined knowledge of the ancient world.

I bow to your superior knowledge and experience in all matters regarding Justin Bieber's achievements.

Your cheap shot claim that I characterized Rwandan genocide more virulent than Nazi's speaks tones about your reading ability and deserves no consideration.

  • @laurenceable67 Or when one gets to read "The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano, or Gustavus Vassa, the African" one cannot be led astray to distinguish savage from benevolent.

As far as the reflection in my mirror is considered, I have never got to meet my grandparents - due to WWII, and my father can't help in the matter for he lost them before he has learned to speak, but given our overall roots it is very unlikely that any of my bloodline inflicted inhumanity upon anyone.

  • @laurenceable67 Understanding history doesn't generate in one's eagerness to follow the lines in their content, but one's ability to read. History is written by the winners, I guess we can all agree on that, but in no respect the very same manifesto can hide the true nature of its enterprise. For example, when one encounters the fact that the Great Roman Empire was trading dog's meat to starving Goths in exchange for Goth's children, it is pretty obvious which society was of barbaric disposition

  • @ErRoRbGd that's the rule of the strongest, if goths would have the same power as the Romans they would do the same thing or even worst, and in the end they destroyed the whole city of Rome. So what u just said is irrelevant. "Everything is relative in this world, where change alone endures" Leon Trotsky

  • @laurenceable67 Firstly, you are wide of point, which is mandatory when you rush to seize the opportunity to gloat and take things out of context. I am not talking about history in any capacity of the spectrum, but as a whole, for I am colourless and colourblind, hence believe in no supremacy of given pigmentation but the primacy of consciousness. Unlike you, I need not to elevate through a particular group to feel better about myself, for I believe that inequity is a root of all our suffering.

  • very cool =)

  • What a performance!!!! me I like !!! <3

  • what song is this?

  • i dont think the time is right. in 1971 there is war in calabar.

  • @nirbija Maybe nobody ever told you of Ottoman Empire (Turkey) - which is located in Asia - invading Europe and occupying it for 5 centuries - introducing unprecedented crimes against humanity - or still unrecognized genocide of Armenians, Turkey has committed right after the retreat from Europe.

Furthermore, you may not be unaware of the Rwandan Genocide, where 800.000 people got executed in 100 days, which even breaks the record of the most virulent "white" endeavors including the Nazy regime.

  • @nirbija That being said, it is not the colour of skin that is relevant to the benefit of the mankind, it is a state of consciousness and realization that we are all one, regardless of the faithful elitism - oxymoron or paradox? - you are spreading on. Believing in some humanoid deity is not a matter of recognition, but orientation. And if we are to talk about the lies and deceits, you just need to open the bible and read it, not scroll down like it is a software license and check "I agree".

  • @nirbija First advanced civilization is said to be Atlantis, though, there is as much proof to support that as there is to support your vision of creator. Second advanced civilization is Babylon. Neither one is located in Africa.

Cannibal tribes in Africa, the issue you have been so elusive of, is the best possible, or should I say worst, of the bestial behaviour.

After Genghis Khan there was Kublai Khan, which suddenly doesn't make him one man. Or should we read everything for you.

  • @ErRoRbGd ..in this practice, much as the Aztecs sacrificed humans to their gods, by ripping out there hearts while they were still alive, and throwing them down the steps of a pyramid. Apparently a significant number of victims met their fate in this manner. While it is barbaric from this perspective, this was seen by them as pleasing to the gods. Who are we to judge? There is evidence pointing to cannibalism among Europeans, during WWII. As usual, knowledge like this is kept in the dark, so..

  • @ErRoRbGd.."white people" don`t look savages. We all are inherently bestial in nature. It is latent, but existing. So look in the mirror, anytime the subject of cannibalism crosses your mind.

What is the yard stick for defining an "advanced civilization"? Greeks gained vast knowledge from the Egyptians. The Egyptians gained knowledge from the Nubians. There is no evidence to suggest that Babylon had a great influence in that era, much less, one of an "advanced civilization". Funny, in this age..

  • ..of misinformation, certain people are trying to re-write history as it suits them. Much like a promotion to sell Justin Bieber tickets!

History was meant to educate, but certain white people turned it into a "superiority contest", and are now unhappy of its revelations. TRUTH IS SUPREME!

So you think the Rwandan genocide of 800,000 lives lost, is more virulent than the 6,000000 jews killed by the Nazis? And ALL the others who lost their lives in both world wars? Hmmmm.........interesting.

  • @nirbija I took a time to follow your discussion with KingCrimson776 and I cannot forbear but to notice a few things.

You kept on insulting him throughout the discussion, racially and personally, while he never responded in kind, which says exactly where the hate and aggression nests.

You have no idea about Asian history, perhaps you should dumb yourself down by read some of ancient Chinese writings such as Art Of War, The Book Of Lord Shang.

Greeks received most of their knowledge from Persia

  • @ErRoRbGd White history is replete with hate and aggression, every which corner of the cube you look at it. White people should never accuse anyone else of such vices, because they are the masters of that field. Every continent has had a dose of this aggression, no matter how small. If you can name one continent that has not felt this rampage at one time or another, this matter will be effectively put to rest.

On the issue of cannibalism. There were tribes, as we have been told that engaged in..

  • Oh man! I want to kiss her abs! 3:50, 4:27, and 5:15! Somebody slap me.

  • Crap.....you're all full of crap......This is music....not politics...shut the hell up. Let's just kill them all and let god sort us out......and when my head gets lopped off and is rolling on the floor I hope this music will be the last thing reverberating in my ears.....Go with the flow or eat sh*t and die!!!!

  • Crap.....you're all full of crap......This is music....not politics...shut the hell up. • God I want to shag one of those dancing girls :-)

  • @dillweed44 Betcha Fela shagged 'em all.

  • @HieronymousD and that's something to be proud of? Get real.

  • long live baba!!

  • wish i was African :(

  • Love the spring reverb on the vocals..

  • Jezuz now that I've seen an hour long commercial for Jany Ayre. Fuck that shite.

  • fela na genius

  • No white person could dance like this!!

  • @dillweed44 Just because MOST white people dancing look rather silly doesn't mean you need to be a racist prick about it :)

  • @edudzzaj - i'm white, so yes i'm being racist to myself

  • @edudzzaj In that case you just made a sweeping generalization, you cracker ;D

  • @dillweed44 - I read in wiki that McCartney and Wings went to Lagos to find an exotic place to record. This guy Fela had them over at his club, and busted Paul's chops for only coming to exploit the country's image for private gain. And he showed that none of Wing's music recorded there bore any trace of local influence...i love it! It's so silly when us white people go to other "far off" countries to show how multicultural we are...Paul spent most of his days at some country club there

  • @decimated550 Pretty funny... tho I can't blame Paul for wanting a change of scenery, I imagine staying in England all the time would be oppressive.

  • 1971 ???

OMG i was jerking on on granny`s now i think about it,.....

  • Ecos revolucionarios del Tercer Mundo !!! yeah!

  • BEYONCE IS BRINGING THIS BACK WITH HER NEXT ALBUM. YESS!!

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......... thats fela with them tight ass pants on

  • There is no one like Fela in North American or British music. Imagine a combination of James Brown, John Lennon, and Bob Marley, with a bit of Yukio Mishima thrown in for good measure. His impact is incalculable.

  • i have watched this video about twenty times, and everytime i watch it the more fascinated i am with fela's greatness!

  • YYESSS Beyonce!! Bring it back!!

  • Band , Fela, Dancers are all awesome

  • Fela has such a weird mix of alpha male and kid in him! He keeps dominating all the dancers but laughing the whole time. I can see why such a personality created a huge star and resistance leader.

  • @ande1718 Perfect description! An amazing musician and activist.

  • @ande1718 the dancers were his wives. yes, indeed he is playful as well as deliberate and dominating. I think that is is a bit more shocking when viewed through western eyes. i like to rememember that this was a show for African audience in a night club. i don't think he wasn't quite so liberal with the manhandling in European festival shows. I think he was savvy to European audiences since he spent time in London. That is why this video is interesting to me-the cultural aspect.

  • Dude Fela has such a weird mix of pimp and kid in him!

  • @ande1718 Best Comment!

  • lol

  • Thanks a lot man, been looking for it. couldnt find it for a reason. Osey!

  • @petegog No... The judge was actually correct. Fela wore briefs AT HOME but not on stage. And that judge would know, because he is actually Fela's adopted son.

  • @oronbaba I'm sure you have heard this question: Where is this video from and where can I get it?

  • @nirbija @ginushark

    FELA KUTI

  • @conditionoakland I AGREE LOL

  • Fela, the epitome of Culture.

    Fela loved pussy!

  • Beautiful! Proud to be Nigerian.

  • the sax player should get a medal!

  • :| all the females have only the skirt thingy and bra thingy.

  • Africa lost perhaps it's paramount musical artist. The death was AIDS related and served to further underscore the deep tragedy of that disease's stranglehold on the continent.

  • legend

  • GO SEE "FELA" on Broadway---the closest thing to this. You've never seen anything like it.

  • 4:23 !!!!

  • @Thunderjunk420...Tisk, tisk... He who is without SIN, cast the 1st Stone...Blessup Fela, thank you for not being afraid, to speak out about the issues that plagued/plague our people....Ashe'!

  • @MrCantuesteban Wu Tang Clan swing from Felas heavy ball-sack, man. They're significant, they're good at times, but they're also very simple compared to Fela in some ways, and not so spontaneous I bet. REALLY pretentious, too.

  • whats the name of this song, why dont we get a song title? seriously!!

  • me i met him 1996 in lagos.....unforgetable.......lucky we have man like dis on dis world...speek it out...unlucky nobody listen !

  • Love this, love fela, but as a tip to musicians...See that water all over the floor? Not a good idea to plug in and dance around with electrical equipment when you're standing in water...omg, that was crazy. Ive watched this like 20 times and I just noticed that, Holy Moly.

  • llisabetta - i agree.

  • Bob Marley + James Brown

  • @obunkystaind BAD COMPERISIM. OMOBA FALE was an

inovator of afro pop, futhermore ,he did not compromise his style of music or his

    philosophy. BABA Fela RIP.

  • 3:53 poor whore...

  • And i thought James Brown was the Godfather of Soul ... ^^ Fela was much more innovative i think ... and he seems to me as a very very free soul ;)

  • with Ginger Baker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Crazy thing is, this is like God playing a 5-hour set at your local VFW hall.

  • Wha
