ok i have windows 7 beta and omg its basicly the biggest vista patch in the world, now all you xp fan boys are gonna have to grow up and realise that xp is old and starting to get outdated. The same thing happend with windowsMe and windows 98 and windows 95, the only operating system i remember people not bitching about was windows 3.1 because of the pretty graphic interface. but i do remember spending 2000$ on a pc that could run wolfenstien so i guess i just think of the big picture lol

dumbass, with the minwin 7 core The WHOLE OS only will be gig , or less. The taskbar is light and very useful, its better than vista and probably better than xp. So bullshit it is not.

You can't exactly say it's better than Vista, nor can you argue that it 'will' be.

At this point in the beta, Windows Seven is more of less Vista with a few added features (such as the use of the entire Window-Frame or Superbar).

its a pre beta, and testimonies say its better than vista and tests prove its better than vista. Look up some videos you can even run it smoothly with only 300 ram, 1 hmz processor.

i removed the big icons and the quick lauch things soo it loks more like a regular taskbar

Is the option to make it look like that in the regular options menu, or do you have to hack your way into it?

right click the taskbar, under properties, uncheck "use large icons" and to remove the pinned icons, press the little arrow next to it and click "unpin from taskbar"

Cheers for that. I was reading here and there about how Microsoft is planning to remove previous taskbars in the final release of Windows 7. Glad to see they thought it through, and let people keep the choice without sacrificing usability between end-user to end-user (new or old to Windows).

Helli got windows 7 and i run the command and obiously where it says username i put bradley ive put cd \windows\ also infront of cmd and unprotectred thing just crashes
