Must be something about pharmacists and math because I've had it happen multiple times at different pharmacies!! I also had on pharmacist fill a script for: "#30 Doxycycline 100mg Give 1/2 tablet by mouth every 12 hours." They gave my client capsules. If I was there, I'd have taken the capsules back to them and ask if they could please split them or show her how to split them. We had originally scripted it out due to the lower cost and ended up just trading her tablets for the capsules. Sheesh..
I love the sensible advice about Mrs. Tollbrook's reinforcing Downlow's "moods." Alas, I've had clients like this once too often in my own business, and it's very hard to modify the human's behavior, as I'm sure you know. I hope Mrs. Downlow at least stops bugging you so much, now that you've pointed out she has some responsibility in the situation.
As for the pharmacist's inability to do math, words fail me.
@TheSophisticatedDog I'm pretty sure she's not going to change that much, but while there's breath, there's hope, right? People have certainly surprised me before (like the formerly obese guy who showed up 2 weeks ago with his formerly obese lab - they BOTH lost weight after my "go for a walk twice a day" lecture!)
