Well, seeing as Peter and Olivia kissed in the Season 2 Finale, I wasn't surprised to see AlterOlivia replace her. I don't think the writers/producers would like to have Peter and Olivia have a smooth relationship too early in the series. (If they plan to continue this on)
@mimay018 I completely agree with you. When a smooth relationship happens early in a series, it's always a on-off relationship, and it's not Fringe style to do that. I'm pretty sure that when our Olivia and Peter will hook up, it'll be forever, until the end of the series, and other plotlines will take that place. After all, it's a sci-fi show, not a drama.
WOW, I love this show. Don't get me wrong, Peter and Olivia are pretty much the one pairing I adore on Tv at the minute, but this whole Peter and Alt-Livia thing is going to be a fantastic story. Who's even to say that Alt-Livia and Peter won't become everyone's favourite couple by this time next year. Maybe they were always meant to be together- they were the two that were born in the same universe, after all.
Regardless, I know I'm going to love watching this play out.

Olivia is NOT stuck in the alternate universe....
there is always a way to go back home. The whole AU storyline will be only half of the season. So, Olivia being trapped is only TEMPORARY while the emotional scars Peter will have lasts a lifetime.

Isn't wonderful how a 15 second ad can generate 49 comments? Its great! To be honest, I think this is all a huge distraction. In other words, all the real GOOD stuff will be hidden from us. Until then, we will see more ads with Olivia in the AU and Peter/AltOlivia ads.

Apparently it is really hard for some people to accept that Olivia is stuck over there by herself, and Peter is with AltLivia in *every* scene in this promo. You're just going to have to let the story unfold and be patient. if I hear one more Polivia shipper pouting about this I'm gonna scream...
@milovy Exactly, remember Olivia works for Walternate and the typewriter told Altlivia her orders. It may look bad out of context but for those who watched the season finale knows there HAS to be more to the Peter/Altolivia relationship than meets the eye. AltOlivia will probably screw with Peter's mind as much as walternate will screw over outOlivia's mind.
@Ree4Quee Obviously, AltLiv is carrying out her mission. Which probably includes just doing what is necessary to not blow her cover, or maybe even actively seducing Peter. Who is very distracted/upset about his Walter/Walternate problems and the fact that he's still getting over the bombshell about his past. Which probably makes him (a) less inclined to notice something's up with "Olivia" and (b) eager to forget about it all through a fling with a suddenly lively "Olivia."
@milovy Exactly...i think that alt Livia's mission will be seducing Peter for whatever reasons Walternate wants. And Peter's mind is pretty fucking up at the moment because there is the machine problem, his relationship with Walter problem and so on. And actually i don't see the problem even if alt Livia will fall for Peter..we really don't know exactly what kind of relationship there is between her and Frank. I'm looking forward to season 3!!
@3187Valentina1 I was under the impression that Alt Livia was not entirely happy with Frank. Remember that line about him spending all her money? When Lincoln joked about that, Alt Liv looked kind of sad, like there was some truth to the comment.

@ebedgert Don't forget they could have filmed the scene at 0:05 even during the filming of Season 1, or anywhere along the way since they resumed filming on July 8th. All they had to do was stick the wig on her and film it.
Also, Pinkner et al are notorious for showing things in the preview that don't necessarily happen for another several episodes. Like the scene of Peter coming back to life(that was aired in Brown Betty). That first aired in the preview for The Man From The Other Side.

Isn't wonderful how a 15 second ad can generate 49 comments? Its great! To be honest, I think this is all a huge distraction. In other words, all the real GOOD stuff will be hidden from us. Until then, we will see more ads with Olivia in the AU and Peter/AltOlivia ads.

@Ree4Quee that's the effect Fringe has for us I suppose, and I agree that all the good stuff are being kept in the dark, the ads are focusing more on the Peter/Olivia or just the Olivia arc nothing else. More suspense for us I guess!

Apparently it is really hard for some people to accept that Olivia is stuck over there by herself, and Peter is with AltLivia in *every* scene in this promo. You're just going to have to let the story unfold and be patient. if I hear one more Polivia shipper pouting about this I'm gonna scream...

@milovy Exactly, remember Olivia works for Walternate and the typewriter told Altlivia her orders. It may look bad out of context but for those who watched the season finale knows there HAS to be more to the Peter/Altolivia relationship than meets the eye. AltOlivia will probably screw with Peter's mind as much as walternate will screw over outOlivia's mind.

@Ree4Quee Obviously, AltLiv is carrying out her mission. Which probably includes just doing what is necessary to not blow her cover, or maybe even actively seducing Peter. Who is very distracted/upset about his Walter/Walternate problems and the fact that he's still getting over the bombshell about his past. Which probably makes him (a) less inclined to notice something's up with "Olivia" and (b) eager to forget about it all through a fling with a suddenly lively "Olivia."

@milovy Exactly...i think that alt Livia's mission will be seducing Peter for whatever reasons Walternate wants. And Peter's mind is pretty fucking up at the moment because there is the machine problem, his relationship with Walter problem and so on. And actually i don't see the problem even if alt Livia will fall for Peter..we really don't know exactly what kind of relationship there is between her and Frank. I'm looking forward to season 3!!

@3187Valentina1 I was under the impression that Alt Livia was not entirely happy with Frank. Remember that line about him spending all her money? When Lincoln joked about that, Alt Liv looked kind of sad, like there was some truth to the comment.
And WHAT IF Peter actually does enjoy Alt Liv better? (Except he thinks it's Olivia...) Also, I'm sorry, but a man can have an IQ of 1000, but that won't matter if he's (a) distracted by his life problems and (b) is really attracted to someone.

@milovy Yeah probably Frank and alt Livia had some problems between them...i think that we will learn more of that in season 3 seeing that even Olivia will have to pretend to be alt Livia for a while.

@milovy And i also think that some people are too much romantic and don't see things straight..Peter is blinded by love and for the amount of problems he has..Olivia is the only thing really good in his life right now and the fact that he's feeling happy with her prevents him to notice the little things 'wrong'. He's a human thing...when you are happy with someone and the rest of your life is pretty fucking up you connect with that person and you don't notice that there is something wrong...

@3187Valentina1 Love is blind... and Peter has been through so much lately, he will ignore any side of him that says "This is not my Olivia" in favor of listening to the side of him that says "Wow, my Olivia has really changed since her trip over there, and I'm lovin' it!" One of those things where "you know, but you don't want to know."

He wants only to be happy with her and to have something normal in his life...so he will ignore every signal 'wrong' and when the truth will come out he will be totally devasted and guilty because he hasn't notice before and Olivia is still stuck in the alter universe, because he has felt something for alt Livia even if it was a lie and so on..i think that this will be a difficult season for Peter..but really hard.

Oh, and one more thing: So WHAT if AltLiv already has a boyfriend? She's a spy carrying out her mission. And what if she finds she likes Peter more than her boyfriend? It happens! Gosh, Polivia shippers act like no one can ever ever change partners or fall for someone else if they feel like it...

If you pause at 0:05, there's a lovely red haired Olivia Dunham with a possibly-needs-to-shave Peter Bishop. LOVE WHEN THEY GO IN FOR THE KISS at 0:06.

@WJobsessed They haven't even filmed scenes yet with the real Olivia being back in our universe (they are only up to the 4th episode now), so I don't know how that could be, unless you're proposing a dream sequence.

@ebedgert Don't forget they could have filmed the scene at 0:05 even during the filming of Season 1, or anywhere along the way since they resumed filming on July 8th. All they had to do was stick the wig on her and film it.
Also, Pinkner et al are notorious for showing things in the preview that don't necessarily happen for another several episodes. Like the scene of Peter coming back to life(that was aired in Brown Betty). That first aired in the preview for The Man From The Other Side.

@WJobsessed Yeah in fact the scene where they are dancing is in the fourth episode because they filmed scenes in a restaurant with alt Livia and Peter in that episode...and the scene where they are kissing is in the second episode because there is a promotional photo of that ;)
