anyone who thinks Kirk hammet is better than Dimebag obviously has no clue what they're talking about. Kirk can't even hold Dimes jockstrap, let alone be compared to him. Dime played rhythm and face melting leads. Kirk plays basic leads that a beginner can learn quick, and really don't sound that great. Other guitarists have a hard time covering Dimes work. Listen to any band trying to play pantera covers, most sound like shit cuz Dimebag is untouchable.

@chanceprice11 He is a technical guitarist, and his technicity isn't even impressive, Chris Broderick for example would get all technical up his ass and really show how the guitar can be utilized to make mind blowing music. Metallica are a very safe metal band to listen to nowadays, with no real deviation from the mainstream metal of today's era, Kirks playing = Ditto. Kudos for Kirk for getting where he is, but Dime was pure talent, and continue's to inspire people to play even in his absence.
