After watching this, I decided to go play darksouls again, I used the uchigatan, and got somebody to help me. I put on Pine Resin, and just demolished the bell gargoyles, It only took less than a minute to kill both. I also had the uchigatana to +5.

Wait a second... I went through the doorway next to the blacksmith, past some one legged statue.... thing.... Then into some forest and now I have to kill a "Moonlit Butterfly" to advance any further. I'm level 24 I think and this fight is really hard. I think I went the wrong way...

@MrItalianmustard Summoning the witch beatrice. Just look for a hole in the wall right before you go up those steps which lead to the moonlight butterfly boss. Summoning her makes the moonlight butterfly boss so easy,and if you have a shield with good elemental protection also helps.

You get extra flasks for rating messages. Extra humanity if you get lots of positive ratings. He collected that humanity from farming monsters which rarely gives humanity but still does.

Oh and ps you can skip lower undead burg and the depths by going to new londo ruins, then using the master key to access the valley of drakes, cross a bridge, and you are immeadeatly in blighttown swamp area.

Rating messages actually does give you humanity but not one per rating, you have to have a lot of positive ratings to get one humanity.

Getting your messages rated doesnt give you humanity. You get random humanity clouds from killing enemies in the area. You can get up to 10 "Soft" humanity from killing enemies before the boss is killed. But getting your messages rated doesnt do shit.

Rating a message up rewards the author of the message with a humanity. Its a lot less broken than the Demons Souls messaging that healed and restored your mana...

protip: roll A LOT. during the roll animation your invincible and it's a great way to avoid attacks other than blocking

@Northernlion right infront of the guy i saved from the prison right before the gargoyle(i forgot his name, hes like a golden knight) and a warning poped up that im being invaded. He was fighting me around the npc but a wild swing hit the npc and he is REALLY strong and died, had plenty of souls and humanities on me at the time. some how i won against the invader but the npc is lured out in front of the only path i need to take. now im stuck and need to restart.

Couple of notes:

1.) On the previous video, you got the humanity randomly through one of your kills. When you get one via a ranked up message, it tells you your message have been ranked up.

2.) When you get invaded, it flashes on the screen that you are. Plus, your character's low level right now, the likelihood of invasion is next to nothing.

You got the humanity from the enemies you killed. When you kill an enemy and there is a black tint to it, you got a humanity from an enemy. The crestfallen warrior says that you can "collect humanity from enemies, bit by bit" as one way of getting humanity.

Sometimes summons fail because it just hasnt updated the guy you are tryin to summon already was summoned by someone else or because of high latency couldnt connect.. but this looks like all the summons fail.

After you free Lautrec, go back to the bonfire near Andre and rest to reset the world state. Head for the boss fog door. After you go up the first ladder, instead of climbing the second up to where the fog and Solaire's signs are, turn round. Lautrec's sign is nearby. You can summon both of them to really trivialize the fight!

And you didn't pick up the Humanity off the boss. The Humanity came from beating the boss while your NPC buddy was still alive.
