@bwiddup1 It's multiple a4 sheets together. You have to print the separate layers through Illustrator, photoshop doesn't have the tile print option and if you have windows you can also print through MS paint.
@TomSouthLondon go look up bansky, blek the rat or Fake etc. any of these street artist do amazing stencil art that makes you think twince if stencil is really easy that anyone can do it :)
where do u get ur paint from..i make stencils too..how do u get ur stencil images???it could help me make more of a veriety instead of hand drawwin ma stuff..thn x kool stencils by the way!
if you have MS paint just open up the individual layer in .JPG format. then in MS paint go to File-Page Setup then change the print to option so you can tile the image across multiple pages
I picked up some crazy strong Molotw Spray adhesive a while back that was great for little throw ups. I don't know if they make it anymore though. wheat paste works but you need to play around with the mix before it really works well and you'll also need to use it the night you make it.
what kind of paint are you using, hardware brands like krylon will soak through normal paper. I use a art paint called Molotow that won't soak through. If you can't get better paint just take your printed stencils and glue them to poster board. If you cut it into poster board cheap paint won't soak through and it will be re usable.
My secret is MS paint. in File-Page Setup you can change the Print To settings and print the image in sections onto multiple pages. then you tape the pages together and cut the stencil.
what you mean street pieces? i've done a few big ones but I'm more so concentrating on my gallery work for college. I'll hit the streets when the weather clears up
I design all of my stencils on photoshop. The stencil is printed out in sections on normal printer paper that i tape together and cut out using an xecto knife.
It took me about two weeks to design, cut and paint this stencils. I don't let the adhesive dry, you want the paper to be only a little bit sticky to prevent underspray. If it dries you can't take the stencil off after you've painted it.
oo oka..see when i added the adhesive, i didnt evenly put around my stencil..so part of my shit was undersprayed and the other was crisp..got me mad cause it took me forever to cut them bitches out..but yeah, cant wait for my tracer projector comes in..imma try an start doin life size stencils
So is this drawn on that large paper.. and then cut out like a stencil with a knife? OR do you design these on the computer then print them on these large papers? If so, do you have to go somewhere to get them printed that large?
hey can you please give me a few tips on stenciling? i can do 2 layer stencils but i want to do one like you with shading and evrything how do you do it?
it looks like you did it on photoshop. Did you? because that's CHEATING
