  • A+B (1+3)

    D (1)

    G (2)

    A (1)

    B (3)

    D (1)

    G (2)

For example, for this one what am I supposed to pluck first? The ones with (1)? What do the numbers in the parentheses represent? I don't think it would be where you put your fingers on the frets since you already said it's the C chord.. :S Please help~!! I really really wanna learn this song. T_T

  • @munchkinjenny The letters mean the string name. The numbers mean which fret your finger should be on for that string. For example D(1) is string D first fret. I don't know if you could understand what I just said.

  • @nguyentommy86 This isn't actually true. It would be for reading guitar tabs but I kind of just made up a system for recommended picking. Just to clarify: D (1) means pick the D string with your thumb.

  • What kind of guitar do you have and what kind of capo do you use? I've been practicing guitar for a year now and I can't even get one song down fully because of my freakishly small hands. :/ It's really discouraging. But you gave me some encouragement. :D I've been trying been trying to pick more these days and I wanted to learn this song but I don't understand how I'm supposed to read your tabs. Please help mee. :(

  • @munchkinjenny I have pretty small hands too so don't be discouraged! I edited the description bar with the actual tabs. probably my fault for not including them in the first place. The letters followed by the parenthesised numbers are for the suggested picking, rather than the tab (letter=string; number=picking finger). You don't need to follow the picking method if you've found another way to play the song comfortably. Go over the tab linked in the description bar and see how you go.

  • @munchkinjenny Not to brag or anything but it took me a week to play a song (Bruno Mars-Marry You) in the guitar from scratch. I suggest doing songs with 4 to 5 chords and doing strumming instead of reading notes or tabs. Don't fingerpick at your early stage unless you got a teacher. Anyway after 4-6 weeks I was able to play around 50 songs (strumming), then I switched to reading tablatures and it became pretty easy because you'll develop your own ways and etc... Anyway good luck in the future

  • i have the same guitar as you :D

  • ugh, so frustrating. I can't play it =(

  • @skatingdisaster D: It might help or it might not, but you could try omit the last one or two notes in every measure. It might sound a little incomplete (I added in the two notes for a fuller sound) but essentially you are still playing the song.

  • @incuntestable ha, actually maybe 15 - 30 minutes of repetitive playing after I commented, I ended up doing that just so I can get the flow. Now I can play it with all the notes and stay in beat.. maybe 50% of the time haha. I still can't play it like you though =)

  • @skatingdisaster ehh I still can't play the song properly either :p

  • thanks!

  • @jtineee its in the discription m8 =D
