great actress. 500 days of summer is one of the best rom-coms of all time. actually, its the only one (except juno, which was great). zooey deschanel gives summer an incredible levity to summer, making her the perfect girl with dark views on life and love. SPOILER yes she does break tom's (joeseph-gorden levitt) heart, but the film's about that: the reality of love, not the perfect image of hollywood rom-coms.
