i know this is about your super charger but were in the world did you get your headlight covers? i love those but i cant find them any were.

it's just a regular engine, u couldnt fit the charger even if u wanted to, there is just no space under the bonnet!!!

@kioskaskdn Actually, there's plenty of room, you just have to enjoy busting your knuckles working in very tight spaces. I recently helped a buddy wedge a twin turbo 3.0 pushrod V6 "Vulcan" lifted from a sable into a 98 escort--if it fits in an escort.... Build still in progress, brand new tranny self-destructed on the dyno (insert evil laugh). Should be posting some vids soon.

People do things to their cars, how and when they want to, I own a Contour SVT, yea, it's a Contour, but at the end of the day, it's still what gets me to work and back.

I haven't modified it, and don't particularly plan to, stereo yes, but I'm probably gonna leave it stock.

u can fit a turbo or twin turbo... i just got a td-06 twin turbo kit...people jus need to stop bitchin about space and make space.. if i could do it than anyone can...just get forged pistons, cams, and a oil cooler then ull be ight...really hard to tune btw...unless if have money to buy tha 3.0 that duratec offers, if not juss bore it out...unll still get tha same amount of power...

both Taurus and Escape would work for a 3.0, it's an identical motor. Has any one thought about dropping in the Mercury Sable 3.6L? What fitment issues exist there? Do you have room for a turbo/supercharger? The engine bay already looks very tight with the 3.0

better yet, would the old Taurus SHO 3.4 work either?

@Slipknotyk06 LMAO the V8 SHO is underpowered and unreliable. The 3L is a much better choice. Cougars/Contour with a 3L has been putting down 190-220hp at the wheels. That engine is rated at 235 at the crank. Plus you can bolt on a turbo or s/c. A 3L with boost is already nuts, guys don't get traction until 3ed so nitrous wouldn't help. Boosted 3L's generally run around the 300-400+hp the the wheels (depending on the build). The fastest 1/4 mile is a 13.2 due to having no traction.

I have a 1999 Cougar V6 2.5 do i have to swap my motor to supercharge it or is there a kit for it and if there is can u send me the link cuz i want to SC it or Swap a 3L and Turbo it

escape or taurus(not sure about the taurus) are good swaps

you can get a super charger put on butt youll have to forge out your pistons and at high RPM's its hard on it cuz the engine block is made strong but unless your redlineing alot you should be ok with the stock engine

not sure if you've already found it but Nautilus Performance specializes in the V6 Cougar with the Duratec 25 and they have several turbo kits
