Eh, I don't know if it's the fact that he's older or partially adjustment to the new racket, but I think his forehand looks subtly better than before. Btw, on the new prostaff that's coming out, are they deadening the feel again, or is there going to be a shift towards a bit more feedback like the kfactor? I've just started liking my blx frames more than my k90 ones, but I'm not sure what I would think about something even more muted...
i believe this blx 90 doesn't work for this kid, this 90 inch so call weapon required extreme precise footwork and i mean extreme. player might have similar form of forehand or one handed backhand but anybody can copy Roger's footwork, that 's why this kid haven't make any new progress since changing into this racquet
@gg2000gg2000 More likely than a copycat is just some guy who has some resemblance to Roger´s style of playing. Of course, the style is different from talent and effectivity, but the guy is trying his best, and showing some good results in the proccess. If you watch old Rgoer footage you can he an enormous resemblance to Sampras´backhand, and I mean, extremely alike. As Grigor develops his game he will change somethings, maybe drastically, into something more of his own, he´s still very young.
he isn't that bad ?? .. c'mon people .. he's not bad at all! .. Federer is the greatest tennis player of all time but that doesn't mean there can't be other good players !!
I hope he starts to get some good results and move into the major tournaments I am bored of watching the same old players and most of all the two handed backhanders! This kid has a beautiful game!
@jeewalk I agree!! Grigor recently said in a interview that he gets irritated by this comparison and just wants to be himself.. This is Wilson in action.. making Grigor do a Federer's "hot-dog" :(
@jeewalk Well once he start winning the big tournaments and then GS, there will be no reason to be sad. All the big names of the 90's were with Nike, Sampras switched from Sergio Tachini to Nike. Nike gave a contract to Federer when he was like 16. So nothing is new! If I was Pro tennis player, I know what gear I want to be with.
He has potential for it. Whether it develops or not depends on himself and on people surringding him.
And on injuries. Hard to imagine that anyone is as talented as Federer but this guy is very very good for his age. I don't think he's gonna hit ridiculous tweeners from 10 feet behind the baseline like Federer but I wonder how he'll develop. Time will tell

Roger's playing style is only for Roger. Copycats are doomed from the beginning
