Prehaps Al would rather the general public pay for each rating for every bond they would potentially like to purchase each and every time they want to make an investment.  It's a good thing for investors that the ratings agencies have more integrity than these politicians do. "Wall Street" my ass. We are all "Wall Street", including Al and is cohorts. I'd like to meet the person who doesn't somehow have some connection to this mystical evil "Wall Street" that Al blames for everything.

@danielmrussell It's embarrassing because I am extremely familiar with ratings, how they work, and how they are assigned and paid for whereas Al obviously doesn't know jack squat and thinks that cartoons are somehow evidence or data. I also know that the vast majority of the ratings analysts have more integrity than Al Franken can even comprehend.

How does anyone, most importantly young people relate to these schmucks.They all have blackberries and iphones, why don't they wifi the chamber, set up HD monitors and have at it. @eqsmooth Well said! Politicians in my country are like that too... they tried to ban slot machines years ago, but worded the law in such a way the all kinds of videogames were banned instead, even cell phone apps! It took them some time to realize...
