  • Where did you get the pickguard for it?

  • @mightyatomics Bought it from some guy who got it from Allparts.

  • I just got one of those Champion 600 amps, and they sound fantastic. I put it through a 1-12"" Laney cab, and I have a CV 50's as well, and it fills the room with warm Fender glow. I am going to mod the CV 50 s to Esquire using the wiring scheme that gives you direct to jack sound. Thanks for the demo, nice tones.

  • @Royalnord01: It was a Bill Lawrence Keystone neck pickup with no cover. I was very pleased with result but I have another tele that is just the perfect guitar for me so I sold the Squier some weeks ago.

  • Can you tell me what pickup that is , and are you satisfied with that pickup .??

  • Yes, it does. But, the pole pieces will stay too much away from the strings because of the cover.

After that video I added a neck pickup under the pickguard but the pickup I used had no cover.

I have some other videos with that configuration on my page.

  • @j7xjazzy7 does the standard neck pickup fit under the esquire pickguard ?? I just orderd a Callaham Esquire pickguard for my Telecaster .

  • Nice.

  • @Ed, Thanks.

I got the esquire guard, removed the neck pickup and a standard 3 way switch.

You can find some info on different wiring diagrams over the net. I just used the simple one.

The guitar is a bit different now. I added a neck pickup under the pickguard and have the standard tele wiring scheme.

    Cheers.

  • Was that originally a Squier Classic Vibe Tele you converted over?

  • @FordIsBetter Yes it was.

  • @7xjazzy7 hey love that tone, can you tell me what you did to this. i presume remove the neck pick-up, did you buy an esquire pickguard. any changes to the wiring needed, or just keep the switch turned to bridge pick-up.

if its easy i'm gonna grab one of these, cheers, ed

  • why do people ask for tabs. playing should be a combination of schooled and playing by ear. I am not shcooled at all, cant read a note. just listen and learn, trust your ear, and let go.

  • @telecasterbear you must blow

  • @OscarHeller and i didnt need someone to tell me how to do that either.

  • your realy good can you make a tab for that my

  • wat is the name of the song

  • @dooinga That's no song! Just some riff I've made to show the sound of the guitar!

  • How much is price of this guitar?

  • @Cronos133 I think I paid around 250€ about a year ago.

  • Awesome - those esquires are the aural equivalent of a pair of brass knuckles!

  • Cool. I have a CV Esquire too, though my only actual CV part is the neck, the rest is parts. I love Esquire's and the CV neck is very nice.

  • Please have you tabs?

  • No I don't. But I can say it's an Open G tuning ;)

  • Id try to find one these and rock it out with a humbucker to make something orinigal...

  • if you do, then i will find you and fart in your general direction.

  • I don't know if they will pop that easy. They're great guitars. Not just for the money. They're just great guitars.

  • Yeah, every so often, Squier puts out a line of guitars that manage to be as good, if not better than some slightly more expensive Fender-branded instruments. I've had a CV Tele for a few months now, and I tried out a few others, like the Baja tele, and I had a mexican standard tele a couple of years ago. the squier more than holds it's own with them. Does pretty much anything you would want a telecaster to do.

  • I have a stock Squire CV Tele, I love it... I am wanting to buy a couple more when they start popping up used and try out a few mods on them. Great looking, and sounding Esquire!

  • Comment removed

  • Ola Fernando.

The only mod present in the video is the bypass of the R7. Latter I've added a switch to alternate stock and mod.

The early breakup it's because the amp has little headroom, the mod makes it breakup even earlier and the stock PU on the CV his a bit hot compared to a traditional bridge PU.

  • sorry, I know what the amp is, but what mods did you performed? Just to have an idea of the gain structure... Same break up with other Teles or the CV is a bit hot?

Or it's not hot but the Champion is set to distort earlier? Or both? :)

One more thing, what's the weight of your CV Tele?

    It looks gorgeous, perfect blonde.

    Obrigado

    (Fernando, Barcelona)

  • it sounds nice.

    What amp are you using?

  • Is that the stock pickup?

  • Yes.

  • very nice sounds!!! Fernando

  • Thanks.

  • Sweet! Some really good tones on there, jazzy. That's a C600 you're playing through? Nice. See ya on the TDPRI!

  • Hey misteresquiredaddicted :D

    yes, that's my modded C600.

Thanks and see you on the board.

  • thats a classic vibe '50s?

  • Yes.

I turned it into an Esquire.
