just across the La. border on the" old strip" in Bossier, that was the party of a life time,we used to carry our Sun. parties across the border as often as we could.Me and my best friend were the "Belles Of The Party" It was LOTS OF FUN<pot, pills Jack, backed by a little staight crown.Im glad we werent the only one having a blast
This is the CDB we listened to in the 70's! I kind of thought "Devil Went Down to Georgia" was going commercial for Charlie.I guess you gotta do what you gotta do to pay the bills.Anyway, still listen to him and always will! Thanks for posting
Awwww....fuzzy memories of many a sunday evening in a 75 Camaro with a cooler full of Coors on a two lane Texas blacktop at warp 9 headed back to college.
There is an edited version of this song from the CDB appearance on PBS Austin City Limits from 77or 78 that I would love to see again.
thanks so much for posting this. being a southern boy from N.C. this song brings back alot of memories..i got my first drumset when i was 14.used to ' try ' and play to this song. been with diffrent bands for 30 years now. this song is nothing but one hellacious, Ass- kicking jam session!...wish i could have been there.....thanks again.
I've seen CD and the MTB several times. Takes me back to Bailey Hall at Thompson Point at SIUC - 1976. Anybody else there? What a fuckin' good time then.
I wanna hear BAD ASS Trace Adkins turn out some JAMS that can beat this. "She's a Hotty" aint no where near as fine. There is NO good Country Music, or Southern/ Progressive. It's all about New Soul, and dancing with a Big Ass,........Taylor SWift? CMA award? for WHAT? She cant sing, she cant kick Kanye West's ass off a stage, she sucked as MC on SNL,........You need to rethink who is great. Charlie Daniels is an old man, but even Kid Rock dont fuck with the CDB. Just axe him!
Love me some CDB. Hard to beat Charlie and the band from the 70's. It was country, rock, jazz and blues all rolled up into one kick ass sound. Charlie is a storyteller of the first class,he don't sing about no damned badonkadonk! His music has and will stand the test of time. My band from the Navy days on for a few years was named Saddle Tramp due to this song.. He should be in BOTH the Rock and Roll and Country Music halls of fame. He's that good.
@rockinredneck57 Greetings my friend! My previous link to this song was deleted by my ISP. I always go back to the mid 70s in the USN out of Mayport when I hear this song. Send me a note if you get a chance. God bless America! Pray for our troops!
swift sucks, but not as much as kanye, the album with bigger stonger faster was the worst album ive ever heard bigger streonger faster was the only good song but the album, it sucks and so does he i wish someone would shoot him kanye is an overrated faggot if i was still liveing in america i would kill him myself !
A totally unknown southern rock gem. Charlie's guitar solos and the double drum interplay are all truly amazing. Lived in North Miami Beach when a good friend turned me onto this album (which BTW is a perfect song set). Etched in my soul forever and gives me chills whenever I listen to it.
