well, you can never rely trust any information on marijuana because both sides use scientific studies to further their cause, whether it be legalization or keeping it illegal. what you should be looking at is if the price we pay for keeping it illegal, whether that be financial/ socialogical effects on society. also look at how other drugs effect society like alchohol. try watching a documentary called the union:business behind getting high, it might be biased to a pro-marijuana audience. thx

@RollAnotherJ I can tell you now, if you smoked pot once a week for the rest of your life, you would have NO physical of mental impotency's. However if you smoke a couple of times a day everyday for YEARS, you will experience things such as, impaired short term memory, minor respiratory problems (bong lungs), and in extreme cases erectile dis-function. All of these symptoms can be reduced through smoking less or just exercising. MODERATION IS KEY!

as far as i can see, Nutt was just playing a "statistics argument" , that is not really science. Science is cause and effect : ecstacy/acid/cannabis= schizophrenia...FACT...sure not many people take these drugs,(so the stats arent high, but so what?). the ones that do invariably end up in mental hospitals at some point...so Nutt is wrong both scientifically and medically, and at the end of day the govt has to protect its NHS budget/citizens health

@RollAnotherJ I'm sure you mean well but you're just wrong. "Skunk" is just a term for cannabis specially strained to yield a higher THC content. It is NOT mixed or adulterated with anything. It has a very strong, pungent aroma and so was nicknamed "Skunk". Skunk is no worse for someone who smokes in moderation (the same as a few vodka's isn't really worse than a couple of beers) and if anything it could be less harmful as less smoke is inhaled in order to get high. Stop the misinformation.

@exile4eva i see what you mean reading back on my post, but its because i was refering to more my area, theres 2 sorts of bud round here, home grown, and skunk, ive got 2 guys i go to, one does home grown and the other skunk, and the home grown isnt as strong, but its a better high, the skunk is just crazy strong its not even fun to do, and i would bet any amount of money that the skunk contains all sort of shit and mabye a bit of glass. i was following my common sense, homegrown is obv better.

funny I asked my gp about cannabis and he said he had never seen anyone die of cannabis although he see's tobacco deaths every week, and my last doctor said she had no problem with people smoking it as long as it wasnt mixed with tobacco .
