I saw them live at verizon music center in Indianapolis with the Kornfest tour a few years back, and they rocked out. I never once heard the band using the stage as a forum to preach whatever brand of religion they choose to subscribe to. However, I think they choose only songs that are in line with their personal core beliefs, which is what every band SHOULD do. In other words they call their own shots and their not sellouts. I don't understand...how the hell are they Christian!? They make good music! I don't hear God or allusions to the Bible ANYWHERE

@Kitsune1414 They mention god a lot and lots of their songs have underlying christian meanings. Red Sam, Cassie, Much like Falling and Beautiful Bride are all very obviously about God. And I'm agnostic, so yeah.

Really? They hide it very well....but any song could be 'about God' if you think, 'oh right here, this is SO God....' I don't know. But they are awesome!

hehe, I kind of wish people would stop arguing over religion on ALL THEIR SONGS, flyleaf almost broke up because somebody said something sensitive about their religion. so shut ur mouths, because if the band breaks up i blame it on you people :p (im agnostic btw, but i dont give a damn if they are christian)

Why should someone be christian to listen to a christian Band? I can listen to Death Metal without raping people or eating dead flesh. O_o And at all I don't think that their lyrics content christian themes so at all who cares what the band members believe in? Even if it would be a multidimensional unicorn with a beard on his ass..

first time i heard flyleaf was my first consert with breaking benjamin a threedays grace....flyleaf was the headliner i thought they sucked when they played...then i hered em again......MUCH BETTER THE SECOND TIME! lol

I saw them live at verizon music center in Indianapolis with the Kornfest tour a few years back, and they rocked out. I never once heard the band using the stage as a forum to preach whatever brand of religion they choose to subscribe to. However, I think they choose only songs that are in line with their personal core beliefs, which is what every band SHOULD do. In other words they call their own shots and their not sellouts. Rock on Flyleaf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when i first heard flyleaf. i had no idea that they were a christian band. im honestly finding out from all your comments. WHO CARES?! it doesnt affect my love for their music. Im atheist, but does that mean that im not gonna listen to them anymore? no. so shut up, and enjoy free music on youtube. :)

@ilovelloyd18 Well, spoken... Flyleaf isn't a 'Christian Band' anyway. They are a rock band, in which the members happen to be Christians, and there is a bid difference between the two. As lead singer Lacey Mosley said "... if a plumber’s a Christian, does that make him a “Christian plumber?” I mean we’re not playing for Christians. We’re just playing honestly and that’s going to come out."

Atheisism has no expectations or laws.. it can be completely 'lawless'- To Love God means you work to be good and 'right' (eous) these works will not be in vain- To work for God here and now means you have Faith in Him- This will not be in vain- Live without any reason or direction or aim and that will have consequences. And now you've been clearly given this information to think over.
