your constant need to make "jokes" is beyond annoying. Just a bunch of dweebs who think they're funny by making old dad jokes and laughing at everything to make yourself feel better. Just stop it. Jesus...what a bunch of pricks.. At no point did they actually discuss the comics in depth. They basically just started a topic, made a few obvious observations and then proceeded to TRY to crack jokes and convince people they're comedians. Pathetic.
You guys are total marvel junkies and anti DC. Seriously DC has some of the best storylines. Marvel has so many cheezy storylines. I still like marvel, but you guys are way to anti DC. Crappy storyline "DeadPool" I wanna see your reviews on those comics.
After reading batman i was very dissapointed. After all the dence converluted stuff thats just passed i didnt expect or like a dream sequence that will ultimatly have no relivence.
It's an homage, man. What do you want? Batman comes back from teh dead!! wow... big surprise. Bruce Wayne is dead, the Dark Knight has fallen in combat, move one man, Bruce's time is over.
"Hey kid, Watch my car for me?" "I...uh...I...uh..." "Oh for heavens sake! It's a rough neighborhood, It's a lovely car, I want someone to keep an eye on it. Is that so hard to understand?" "But you're The Joker" "Obviously" "You'll kill me" "Why would I want to kill you? I want my car looked after. Twenty bucks." "I...I don't think so." "Twenty. Bucks." "But you'll kill me."
Gaiman's Batman story is very poignant (like most of his stories). Unfortunately I have not read the original "Man of Tomorrow" predecessor to this story, so I'll withhold a lot of close analysis of the narrative. The issue definitely made me excited to read Batman again. The whole RIP thing kind of lost me mid-run for a number of reasons.
After reading Batman 686 I agree with it reminding me of the animated series. It really did have that feel. Those of you who read will also like the ending where you see the two shadows against the wall one of them is Batman the other I'm hoping turns out to be another Gaiman character. You know who I'm talking about. :)
I'm with the majority on this one. Batman #686 was awesome. The are was fantastic and the story has me hooked. Alfred's story was quite clever. I can't wait to see how this wraps up. Wish I'd gotten to see you guys at NYCC.
Wow, I love the term chinwag. The interview is actually already posted over at newsarama. They shot everything that we did at NY comiccon so it'll all be up over there.
Batman 686 is diffidently the highlight of this weeks new comics coming out. Every one should get it. If Neil Gaiman is doing it, it's pure enjoyment.
Robinson was tight lipped about Justice League, the message was all superman. He did take a moment to slam Spiderman: One More Day. Though I do vaguely remember him mentioning something about JL in our newsarama interview...
Awesome, while I have enjoyed some of Morrisons run on Batman, a lot of it was garbage(he writes the most cliche Joker EVER) which is a shame since Bats is my favorite character but judgng from your review this might totally redeem Batman monthly for me (Now if we could just Dini back soon)
Maby Norman will drop the H.A.M.M.E.R on Hydra. But then again, Hammer is nothing but criminals so it prob be easier to control. "Ineeda Hill, good one. lol How could you forget her name after what she did in Invincible Ironman 10# WMW

Really? This whole video was about how incredible and classic a new Batman story was. That seems pretty pro-DC to me...

What would conceivably be funny about killing you?"

I'm so happy that Kubert is going to be out of the DCU.
The three year deal (along with this brother) was stupid. They were nothing for a flash in the pan.

Bad Dog was great and another winner for Kelly after the great I Kill Giants. Come on guys, give the superheroes a rest and review more indie comics!
peterlust26 3 years ago
I agree that indie comics are cool and more up my alley. But superheros are a staple of the comic world and make up the vast majority of it.
And really good indie comics come to the surface far less frequently because you have to search for them and they are made in smaller numbers.
I am not dissing indie comics, just saying it is understandable that they review them less often.

Justin's the funniest one--who's wanting to kick his ass?
amazingdavidman 3 years ago
Justin is the funniest.
Alex is the smartest and driest (dry humor)
And Pete is the one the one that always inadvertently gives them openings to make jokes.
