I know this one from RTL in Germany...and I loved it. But as so many really good cartoons, you won´t find them here anymore...German TV isn´t interested in what they show...watch RTL from 12-17 P.M. if u can...such a shame for Germany !
Cool I used to love this .. it was so great to have a regular fix of dinos to fill in the huge gaps between One Million Yrs BC and Valley of Gwangi etc being aired
This show did have more diffferent types of Prehistoric animals then Land of the Lost.
Now I did like LOTL too but it had the same dinosaurs in every episode and at least this show how more imagination and featured different creatures in every episode and no annoying Sleestaks or Holly!
I was so excited when I heard this was going to be on tv! But unfortunately, it was running at the same time as the Land of the Lost-also new that year. An ardent lover of dinosaurs (I was 5 years old), I just had to see both shows. No one had heard of VCRs yet, so I had to find a way around this problem. I remember bringing our old portable black and white tv down and setting it up next to our big new color television so I could watch these two shows at the same time! I did that for months.
does anyone remember a cartoon with a boy and a mother and a guy inside the cave and a t-rex waiting outside of the gave, and then in the morning the little kid takes a piece of wood and sticks it into t-rex eye..and there was blood all over the place ???
when this cartoon series aired, it was given excellent reviews by the critics. it was a shame CBS chose to air it in the same time slot against NBC's "land of the lost"
Someone should had did a movie based on this show instead of "Land Of The Lost". Not only are the stories on "Valley Of The Dinosaurs" more intrigueing, the characters are more interesting.
I want this video on my C1-02 unit.

@djbryanscott Actually, "Land of the Lost was on ABC, not NBC.

@TimFrith24 I think you've got the different versions of Land of the Lost confused.
The original LOTL ran from '74-'76 on NBC, with a syndicated run in '85 on CBS. The second version of LOTL ran on ABC in '91.

Wow, this isn't at all a shameless rip off of Land Of The Lost.
ProjectFlashlight612 2 years ago 15
Not only is this not a rip off of Land of the Lost, but this is almost 20 years older...
FastCitiBoi 2 years ago
I mean the TV series, Season 1 of which screened before Valley was made. Not the Will Ferrell movie!
ProjectFlashlight612 2 years ago
@ProjectFlashlight612 Approximately 8 seconds of online research will tell you that both shows ran from 1974-1976. More like an odd coincidence.

No it isn't. Came out the same year. Remember, it's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt.
