  • dude striped bass is a freshwater fish?

  • I catch them in "BOTH" salt and fresh water,,,,They live in the oceans and rivers and lakes,,,There tuff fish!!!

  • I hope you like the video anyways and "yes" it was filmed Nor-Cal one of the best places to live on earth!!!,,,,And The Glinch Mob is a music group,,,,There music is awesome to use in a video!!!

  • Hey brotha, how ya been? Hey i was wondering if you've ever fished fort baker pier and if so, is the fishing any good? I would think it would be but i figured id ask you b4 heading out there :)

  • Hey what's up!,,,,Well I haven't fished fort baker pier for years so I don't know how the fishing is there lately,,,,,"sorry bro"...

  • Hey shark man nice striper!!! Can you get kastmasters with bucktails on them or do you have to put the bucktail on yourself?

  • I've seen some tackle stores that sell them with the bucktails on them already but a lot of takle shops don't so it just depends where you shop for them,,,,sometimes I just put the bucktail on my hooks myself!!!

  • did you catch it on a kast master?

  • "Yes",,,,I caught it on a Kastmaster with bucktail on the hook!!!

  • Dude..... love the videos. Im looking for some good spots between Monterey and Santa Cruz...... any pointers

  • "Hey thanks bro",,,,,Right on!!!,,,,,,,And concerning if I know any spots between Monterey and Santa Cruz,,,,,I heard that they were getting some "nice sized stripers" at Sunset Beach in Santa Cruz last week,,,,"but" I'm not sure if there still there so I would check the fishing report to be sure,,,,,"peace"...

  • I am a Rhode Islander and at first I was shocked at how small this fish was. Here in RI the limit is 2 fish per day and 28" long. I personally like to keep one a year at 33-36" no smaller and no larger. Nice catch and keep fishing. Looks like you had fun and thats what it is all about. "FISH ON"!

  • "Haaahaa",,,,Yea I know the stripers are smaller here on the west coast compared to the east coast stripers,,,,,The biggest striper that I ever caught was 38 lbs and I know that's a common size for the east coast,,,,You guys are lucky to have so many big stripers!!!,,,,And your right,,,,I had fun and that is what it's all about,,,,"TIGHT LINES"...

  • Good thing you kept it, because few would survive being dragged across the beach like that.

  • "Yea",,,,,This one was dinner!,,,,"take care"...

  • thought this was an east coast thing

  • Yea they were until they were brought to the West Coast in trains in the early 1840's,,,,,Striped bass are not native to California and they rarely get as big as the ones on the East Coast but I'm glad there here because they are so much fun to catch!!!,,,,I've been catching them my whole life,,,,,"peace"...

  • Kastmaster- a classic tried and true lure! They will catch anything and a lot of them! I grew up in the Bay Area and fished for bass on the Delta a ton, but nothing beats getting them on the surf! Nice catch! I have fond memories of surf perch fishing at Rockaway beach!

  • Thanks a lot bro for the "thumbs up"",,,,And your so right,,,I catch a lot of stripers in the S.F. Bay "but" nothing beats catching them on the surf,,,,I hope you can get out there again sometime and go surf fishing for perch and striper,,,,,"take care"...

  • Now you can't keep that can you? its to small? Nice however.

  • "For sure I kept it",,,,The size limit is 18 inches in California and this one was "much bigger" then that!!!,,,,I know on the East Coast the size limit is much bigger then 18 inches but here on the West Coast the limit is 2 fish per person and they have to be at least 18 inches,,,,I let go a lot of fish that I catch "but" this one was dinner!!!,,,,,"Take Care" & "peace always"...

  • what kind of lure were you using? and whats better, bait or lure?

  • I prefer using lures myself because I can cover more ground and the lure that I was using on this video is a 2 oz. Kastmaster with bucktail on the hook!!!

  • Thanks my brother!!!

  • Hey brotha :-)

  • Yea Striper season . nice catch. caught a 22 in inside the bay last week by crissy field. i know this place. . . its on _ _ _ _ _ point. FISH ON !!!!!!!

  • Rockaway or close by?

  • What kind of lure are you using?

  • It's a 2 oz. Kastmaster with buck tail on the hook!!!

  • @SharkMan650 I can only find a 3/8 oz Kastmaster with a buck tail also what pattern were you using?

  • Well if that's all they have at the store you buy from I would look at other stores too,,,,If your going to fish in the bay I would use 1/2 oz to and 1 oz. and on the ocean beachs I use 1 1/2 oz to 2 oz.,,,,.and the buck tail will be fine in either white or chartruese for the kastmater...

  • Hey man! thanks again for this video!Keep fishing bro!

  • "Right on bro",,,And "yes",,,"I'll keep fishing until the day I die",,,haahaa,,,,"peace"...

  • "Right on bro",,,,I hope you catch lots!!!

  • any tip on finding area with striper??

or you just randomly cast out lures and try to catch striper?

  • Well Fort Point is a good place to try,,,They had good luck there latley and the lures they are mainly using there are 1/2 oz. buck tail jigs,,,,"good luck"...
