  • Looks like they just came from losing to the Australians at Wimbledon or something....

  • first saw these guys like 3 or 4 yrs ago open up for Modest Mouse in Des Moines...they were so good I ended up leaving halfway through Modest Mouse because I was so tired and beat up from raging to Man Man...loved em ever since

  • This song reminds me of good times with great friends.

  • dude...i cant believe the band i played with got to open for them right before they played bonnaroo....these guys are sick.

  • Got to see them at Evolve this year! T\hey were absolutely fantastic!

  • I betcha Honus gives a good, firm handshake.

but god i love man man and this song! FTW!

  • that man is my future ex husband.

  • This is amazing

  • My current favorite song for obvious reasons.

  • Thought the club was called jizz for a few seconds.

  • this band only gets better with each listen, everything they do is just so beautiful and carefully put together.

  • If I was a guy, I would totally grow a Honus mustache.

  • We had the Bonzo's, then the Colorblind James Experience, and now we have Man Man, times change, but the mood doesn't.

  • How could this being filmed and released to the public be bad news? It kicks ass!

  • these guys make me want a mustache

  • its like a badass STOMP

  • I always prefer Man Man live over studio recordings.

  • I love you guys but I've dissapointed that you have used THE RISING SUN FLAG

It's a flag that symbolizes Japanese' imperialism in the Second World War,

and the past when Korea and parts of Asia were once a colony.

It's similar to the Hakenkreuz (symbol of Nazism) in Europe.

However, the Japanese waved the flag in everywhere as a tool of their support. and then many people around the world don't get its true meaning

I'm your fan who is korean

Please Note that it can be an insult to somebody

  • @yagorago If you dont like it GIT OUT!!!

  • @yagorago Someone knows how to search Wikipedia.

  • @yagorago i can appreciate what your saying but then again you cant hold that against them, maybe they like that flag, or maybe the like the japanese culture, you cant hold something that they had no control over against them. we humans are a stupid species and we do stupid things but what your saying sounds like your mad cause they held up a certain flag. thats about the equivilant of everyone getting mad cause germany used the swastika as a symbol but its actually a religious symbol for hindus

  • @yagorago im just saying you cant hold them accountable for that, maybe they like the japanese culture who knows, you have to ask them, but i think tring to get them to change their ways is worse than them supporting a flag they like, but again i see where your coming from and i appreciate what your saying and hope you hear, see and appreciate what im saying, regardless to that I LOVE THIS SONG ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MAN MAN SONGS! 청취 주셔서 감사합니다~~~just tring to show respect hope your not mad

  • @draventatsel I am furious and I will use one of my missles which find statements that make no sense at all and throw them at your head...then you shall explode in a hipster massive explosion...

  • @yagorago put your big girl panties on and stop being a baby.

  • @yagorago

There are people in America that use the Confederate flag during musical sets as an aesthetic addition. This flag has been used throughout American history by white supremicists to portray their belief in the rightful oppression of individuals from racially marginalized groups. Cultural appropriation leads to mis-appropriation. It's sad, but at this point in society its unavoidable.

  • nice guitar playing, man

  • Honus is SUCH a beast.

  • 20 people missed an opportunity to see man man, and are butthurt about it

  • what's that instrument shown at 2:48?

  • @mymester it's a melodica. One of my favorite instruments. The band Tokyo Jihen uses em, along with Pearl and the Beard if you're looking for more with it.

    Basically it's a harmonica and a piano.

  • @ohlemontine Thank you very much. Now to go find one...

  • @mymester

find one, and i'll trade you a badass accordion for it ha

  • @trevnasty hey dude, I got a melodica. I'll trade ya for your accordion

  • @shitfeast what kind of melodica are your working with? I'd like to look it up and compare it to the accordion before i just do away with it. I do love my accordion, but I feel the melodica would be easier to pick up for me

  • @ohlemontine

Damon Albarn of Blur/Gorillaz/The Good The Bad and the Queen (and about a hundred other projects) is pretty big on the melodica too. took me about 2 years to figure out what instrument made that sounds.

  • Youd prolly like these guys if you like MAN MAN!

    Theyre the Velvamatics

  • great song and great performance

  • i went to the passion pit convert for new years eve in new jersey, and man man opened for them. they werer so strong and crazy, so much instruments, they were a beautiful group. and njlacrosse9, i wish i watched gogol bordello. i like listening to all these different kinds of songs and music, especially when im high.

  • @poltergiest11

i saw modest mouse live in 2006 and i left the mouse show early cuz man man opened for them and i had already gave all my energy to man man..they tore it up!

  • just saw them open for gogol bordello, they were alot more insane and intense then here.

  • what in the world did i just watch....

  • this right here is what i like to call teamwork...

  • Ryan is a really nice guy. I met him, and he is SO sweet. I hope I get to meet him again someday.

  • Awesome band. I'm amazed that no one compares them to The Residents or any of their late 70's -early 80's Ralph Records label mates. Of course I imagine it's a younger audience for this band. But if you like this kiddies, check out some classic era Residents or Snakefinger. Yes I do hear Waits, Beefheart, and Zappa in Man Man as well.

  • THIS IS PHILLY BABY!!!!!

  • Now this is team work in music! :)

  • You know what this REALLY sounds like??

MAN MAN (some good friends jamming and having a blast)

  • didn't know they were gonna be live, didn't do a soundcheck, and yet that was the best anything i've ever heard

  • me too sir, best show of my life

  • It's like Tom Waits meets Modest Mouse with more falceto.

  • @jakefini777 I saw Modest Mouse and Man Man opened up for them. Fuckin sick show.

  • @erchbob Your comment is self aware.

  • sounds awesome!

  • This is incredible. :) = Happiness

  • tttttttttttttttttttiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A close friend of mine put it best, "Listing to Man Man is like getting the shit kicked out of you at some carnival."

  • @MrDdrummon wait...what

  • Very nice song!

  • what else compares? anything on this level or close? please help me get more of this quality of music into my life.

  • @kyronmcc Captain Beefheart they rip him off left and right, not a bad thing though!

  • what else compares? anything on this level or close? please help me get more of this quality of music into my life.

  • I love manman! they opened for Modest mouse and they totally stole the show!! amazing. such a unique sound!

  • thank you man man.

  • I enjoy the polyrhythms!

  • Comment removed

  • fucking awesome.

  • I want THIS version on the album! It's so much longer and the groovy intro is awesome.

  • fucking bad ass

  • The description is a little confusing. I don't know why it was bad news. The performance was flawless imo.

  • @Magetalion2000 Its bad news bcuz no band like Man Man wants to be filmed for television. Thats why they put no passion into this performance. It sounds good but Man Man's live shows are all about the shows. If you have ever seen them play live you would know what i'm talking about.

  • @DanielOHenry Yea I heard them live when they headlined for Modest Mouse in Austin. I had never heard of them before that and they were amazing. They got the crowd going just as much as Modest Mouse did. It truly a spectacular show. But I see what you're saying now.

  • @DanielOHenry You're so right. I try to catch a lot of live music and quite honestly their performance was the best show I've ever seen. They're so so so good live. I would pay lots of money to see them around. If they ever come to my neck of the woods again, that is. Or maybe I'll head to theirs... they're that good.

  • @Magetalion2000

there was only one mess up in the beginning you hear one of the guys say "1 2 3 4" and the keys are out. then he fixes it like a pimp and jump back into the intro like nothing happened.

  • The guy on the tambourine looks like Will Ferrel xD

  • Im there..tonight in Toledo..Fuck Yeah

  • the audience is fuckin retarded

  • I love everything about the way these gentlemen make music

  • You should watch this video if only for the singers voice.

  • @robotsvszombies You must be tone deaf... I hear a bunch of crap that might sound like it's trying to form a pile.

  • @snipermesh You are witty and insightful. You bring a fresh and unique viewpoint to the internet. The clothes your mother dresses you in don't look silly at all.

  • fuck what it looks like, just listen to the music!!!

  • I want man man to come to Portland OR i know its a long ways away but i would pay exuberant amounts of money to see them here

  • You havent heard this song until you hear it on Acid

  • this is the most out of place audience for a Man Man show.

  • the tables

  • not just the tables, the energy or the lack of. it looks like some corporate holiday party just got punk'd.

  • completely agree why isnt anyone trying to get on stage like I was in Diego?

  • I advise everyone to go see them,

    they're incredible live.

    Energy level is killer,

    cheers.

  • favorite song right here

  • Haha. You can kind of see why they call themselves Man Man.

  • I seen them open for modest mouse a few years ago, they were amazing. What a lame audience they have here though.

  • This is probably the best live performance ever done... and the audience doesn't even care... haha.

  • io amo i man man!

(im the only fan in italy?)

  • It's possible. But that makes you there number one fan in Italy though..

  • "Found out the bad news"? this is an excellent take.

  • goin to seee them march 5!

  • see you at the troc

  • Oh my god. this is Realy fantastic.

  • Something about these guys.......

    unreal...

  • the immoral things i would do to see these guys perform...

  • These guys put on a DAMN GOOD LIVE SHOW!! Engrish Bwudd is great as well!

  • Why it's the MAN MAN WHITE ART ENSEMBLE OF PHILLIE!

  • daamn, it looks like they are on some halucinogens or somethin. at the end, the lead singers eyes are pretty bugged haha

  • they had no soundchack and were on live tv. I'd be freaking out by the end of the song too.

  • haha, yea that would be a little nerve wracking. it sounds so sick for no soundcheck

  • just great

  • great

  • fucking great live, nothing beats it.

  • Okay are they a group of percussionist or did they just happen to find the jackpot of all percussion toys? They even have the rosewood looking xylophone and a small bell kit.

  • this song is a wet dream. =]

  • wtf is that harmonica piano thing that he is playing on?? i must know what that insturment is called

  • melodica. also check the harmonium. its similar.

  • It's called a melodica. They're pretty cheap too....

  • thats why every grade school music teacher has one.=)

  • This live performance is a little like Tom Waits. I really like this recording.

  • in so much as?

  • love man man they are awesome

  • Dear Man Man, I have helped get you some fans in Ontario Canada, you welcome....... and thank you for the awesome music

  • Dear Man Man, I have also helped you get some fans in South Korea and British Columbia, Canada. I'd also like to thank you for the awesome music. It makes my walk to work wonderful.

  • Dear Man Man, I have helped you get some fans Mars, Pluto, and Nebulon 6. Id also like to thank you for the awesome music

  • thats really dope, keep the music going ^^ saw u guys live in les today, great concert.

  • Many layers, only 3 people.

  • 5 people?

  • 17 turnips?

  • artichoke ?

  • cholesterol free mayo :-)

  • one of my most favorite part about these guys is that they are the definition of unique i have never heard anyone that sounds like them. and the fact that no one has ever heard of them.

  • Thousand times better than the album version. :)

  • This sounds like if Tom Waits lightened up a bit.. lolol

  • you sound like tom waits

  • @TheGreatGallbo Tom has plenty of lighter songs, these boys are just some of his latter day disciples :D

  • @TheGreatGallbo

I often think of Man Man as how I feel when I'm drunk, and then Tom Waits is how I feel when I'm hungover.

  • they are so talented and amazing... i loove them

  • a clockwork orange-esque

  • IDK if I should see Man Man or Modest Mouse. Modest Mouse comes within driving distance of me less often, and they are my favorite band, but Man Man puts on a crazy show. Someone comment and help. I might not be able to forgive myself if Modest Mouse's tour is like the past winter/spring tour.

  • Man Man. Always Man Man.

  • Yeah, it is gonna be Man Man since I can't afford to seet the Mouse, lmao. I would prefer to see Modest Mouse simply because they have been reviving a lot of classics, and Man Man will be around longer. IDK.

  • there wasa few concerts where man man opened for modest mouse. to bad you missed that, 2 birds one stone.

  • any fan of man man check out my ENGRISH BWUDD music video. then eventually my music video for this.

  • The first time I saw this band was about three years ago in Coney Island. What an appropriate venue to see these magnificent bastards...this is circus music at its finest....I love Man Man.

  • At Siren? Siren fest is the best... COney Island + Free music = True Summer Classic

  • Yessssssss..................The Siren Festival has been a tradition with me in the past several year. I love getting up there and seeing some fantastic music while drinking a ton of beer, riding the cyclone, and seeing the freak show.

    God I love Coney Island.

  • This is my second favorite track from Six Demon Bag after Ice Dogs. I even know all the lyrics! Man Man's live shows are great!

  • I really like this song. No kidding. How come I've never heard of these guys?
