@dyaakov Truth be told. I feel safe in many places I go to or have gone to. For example, Japan (where I live right now) is by far the safest and least intrusive country I have lived in to date. I was only 4 when the columbine shootings happened. I can still remember watching it on the TV and being terrified because of all those people getting hurt. I went to a school where therre was no high fences and not metal detectors or anything so I really couldn't get my head around what happened. Still to this day I feel for all the people that lives were destroyed on that day. It really makes you think what kind of lives those two boys had and how far they were pushed to do this kind of thing.

@dyaakov Truth be told. I feel safe in many places I go to or have gone to. For example, Japan (where I live right now) is by far the safest and least intrusive country I have lived in to date. Granted guns are illegal here, but there is very little violent crime. I feel less safe in america only because of the police state posturing I have seen over the years.

I was only 4 when the columbine shootings happened. I can still remember watching it on the TV and being terrified because of all those people getting hurt. I went to a school where therre was no high fences and not metal detectors or anything so I really couldn't get my head around what happened. Still to this day I feel for all the people that lives were destroyed on that day. It really makes you think what kind of lives those two boys had and how far they were pushed to do this kind of thing.

Fact: Norway has a large amount of gun owners yet hardly any homicides. It also has a much lower assault, rape, and burglary statistics
Fact: Everyone 18 year old in Switzerland must own a rifle, has even lower restrictions on guns than the US and it also has a very low homicide rape and statistics etc.
Fact: When Australia banned guns people lost many abilities to defend themselves, and crime sky rocketed. Between 2001-2007 Rape went up 31% assaults went up by 6% and burglary by 20%
