this cefiro is just a really cool car i love how it sounds and over here in trinidad it beats alot of the vehicles on the road we raced with a 3l diesel hilux vigo and he felt bad when he hit 160km/h max and we didnt even floor the throttle and we hit 180km/h sports mode and overdrive off.
hahahahha i drive my dad's A33 cefiro 2.0, and i'm forever cursing about how slow it is! The throttle seems to have an large range of empty travel in the middle, where u step on it more and more but you don't get anymore acceleration! then comes a point where the gearbox finally decides to kick down and it jerks you forward with a little bit of forward motion.... Quite an adrenaline pump when trying to overtake carss with it though :P
That's because the J31 has been replaced. The J32 has a 1997cc, 2498cc and 3549cc engine. But maybe you should try the J31 350JM, 'cos I just foundout the J32 has less bhp output for some reason although it uses the same VQ35DE unit.
Thanks for your info, well, my ceffy gets about 400km per tank (55litres) i think, which is terrible. She is sluggish at low rpm with the air con on but better with it off and much better at higher rpms obviously. But its great for a family car anyway, lots of space, although the noisy aircon is annoying! The Teana has a 2.5 now? I thought it was only 2, 2.3 and 3.5... Maybe thats just Taiwan..
Yeah it's pretty harsh. But it depends which garage I get petrol from. They like to 'water' down the petrol here. It has been known to get over 450km, but usually around 400. It doesn't matter anyway, petrol is so cheap here, and getting cheaper!
Yeah man, I love this car but it so desperately needs more power, never mind, a bit late now, but when I buy a new Teana (replacement for cefiro) in god knows how many years I'll go for the 3.5, but until that happens....
its still called the cefiro in hong kong and i guess a few other places, the teana looks pretty decent actually do a search on google for nissan taiwan teana and you should find it, but engine options are only 2.0 4cyl, 2.3v6 and 3.5v6, if i remember correctly theres no 3.0
FYI, the Teana J31's 1998cc wasn't matched up to a V6. By right, your A33 should be more powerful. But the J31's been replaced. You might as well go for the 2498cc V6 250XV, which will not be such a guzzler.

400km is very bad considering it has a 1998cc engine. My dad's previous car, the J31, got 450km per tank. Broquet or other fuel magnets should work.
