I bought one of these and some pyrodex and at its loudest so far its only went off like a wet fart. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

@mastadon420 I have never had it make a bang with pyrodex. I've been told to tie a knot in the fuse and to pack the powder very tight but I haven't tried it yet.

One of the websites that sells this exact cannon says don't use projectiles. Is it really a problem if I do?

@MichaelkSimmons I wouldn't recommend it because the barrel is too short to effectively use projectiles, very small shotgun shot does work at super close range. This cannon is more for just making big loud booms.

I mostly just shoot blanks with it to get bigger booms, the last shot was loaded with some lead bird shot.

Very small lead balls(lead BBs), like the type you fire out of a shotgun.
