@CrawlingKingSnakeJM well that's sort of a tricky question. In a stompbox is the circuitry and sound. In an amp it depends on a lot. For example in a single channel amp when you push the tubes to the point of breakup that is true natural overdrive. In a multi channel amp there are different sections of the preamp that are used to push the amp into either a lighter overdrive, or a more saturated and thick distortion. In stomp boxes you usually us a totally clean sound from the amp, and...
@CrawlingKingSnakeJM rely on the stomp box to add hair to your sound. For example I use an overdrive, and a distortion pedal. I use the Signa Drive for my overdrive needs which is pretty much everything, and a box of rock which is my distortion for a little bit heavier stuff. The BoR is supposed to emulate a dimed marshall stack, and it's pretty good for that, not the most versatile, but it gets the job done for me when it's time to rip a big solo, or something like that.
@CrawlingKingSnakeJM But one of the biggest and most notable differences is the sound. Distortion is usually thicker, has more saturation, but it loses a lot of clarity especially when playing anything beyond single notes and power chords. The BoR is actually really good about keeping your tone and clarity in tact. Some would also argue that it's more of an overdrive pedal, but it definitely has a distortion chip in it. Overdrive is warmer and more transparent. I appreciate the harmonic value...
@CrawlingKingSnakeJM of overdrive a little more. I find that overdrive is infinitely more versatile, depending on the style of music you are playing. Each sound definitely has it's own applications and strongpoints. The best bet is to get both. That way you're covered. I will play a song with just a little hair, but when it's time to hit the solo it's always nice to fatten up my tone and come out big and loud. So that is my take on it. You can probably get waaaay better answers than this from...
I have one of these, and it blows every other OD I've tried out of the water. This video definitely captures the awesome sound of the Eternity. Well done!
articulate too, shame he keeps making pedals and not giving too much info about them, too many "eternity" named pedals in his line up, its hard to decide what one is for you... :/
why do ppl start with low settings first when demonstarting a dist. or OD pedal, i think u should start with the drive at full power so we know what it can do right at the start then go into mellow settings toward the end
listen to the intro voice and music...I think gearmanndude was having a bad day on this one

I'm about to get a Kanji Eternity! I think I noticed a considerable buzz when you turned the drive up, was that just me or does it have a bad buzz?
