This was truly unexpected as an ending! So Hermione kills Beatrix and then Voldemort escapes and therefore Harry is all heartbroken and sad because of it? I love Hermione's slap at the end - it's like saying: "You idiot, how could you get into all this in the first place!" heh, excellent work! ^^

Yeah, that's a good interpretation! It can also be seen as that: Hermione kills Bellatrix, Voldemort is shocked and disappears and Harry lets Ron go and is caught by an Auror. ;)
