  • @borilove11 By "japanese persimmon" they mean the Japanese variety of persimmon.

  • We have persimmons growing wild in the woods around where I live, as well as a fruit called a pawpaw. They're both coming into season right now. I might go pick some of both, wash, cut, and freeze them and use them for gelato. Thanks for the idea.

  • i tried with peaches. done few mistakes by adding more little milk and the syrup which cause it becomes smoothies instead of gelato....will try put less milk and none of the syrup and see will it become gelato anot. Thanks!

  • Ingredients (2-3 servings)

    1 frozen persimmon pieces (leave at room temperature to extract a little)

    Milk ㏄ 60-80

    2 teaspoon sugar

    Lemon juice to your liking
