First David was a man after God's own heart. So when you say that musical instruments are not biblical you are saying that God did not like David when he worshiped God with instruments. There is no example of a Christian in the NT with an instrument because instruments were extremely expensive back then and they couldn't afford to have one anyway. Paul would have known this and only mentioned singing to them because he knew they would not have instruments.

Revelation is not authorizing you to use a harp or any other musical instrument. Revelation 15:1 mentions Heaven and then 15:2 mentions the sea of glass which would be in Heaven.

Just because it is not forbidden does not mean that you add it in to the worship of the church. Every scripture I have posted previously says to sing. If we were supposed to use instruments then we would have that example in all the letters to the churches in the different cities, Corinth, Galatia, Philippi. None of those letters mention it. If you truly study it, you will see. 1 Thes 5:21

@BatmanUncharted I interviewed the band and I mentioned the Youtube arguments. Most of the members are Christians, but they try to keep religion and music separate because "at the end of the day, this is our career." Hope that helps with the discussions!

Cities is hands down my favourite Anberlin album; it just feels the most grown up, the most matured. I'm an atheist, but that doesn't keep me from liking them. In fact, I love how they leave enough room open for multiple interpretations as opposed to singing "Jesus is great". It actually has lyrical depth, and not enough bands these days do.
When i thought i had found a new band i listened to like seven of their songs which i cant name because i cant remember all of them but anyways seven of their songs and i was like wait i do know this band because i used to listen to like rock and alternative rock and stuff close to this genre. @4floaters David was in the Old Testament and Revelation involves a lot of symbolism. That is not describing the worship within the church that Jesus died for. Revelation is not authorizing you to use a harp or any other musical instrument. Revelation 15:1 mentions Heaven and then 15:2 mentions the sea of glass which would be in Heaven.

@4floaters When the New Testament is silent on a subject that does not give us the right to add something. Just because it is not forbidden does not mean that you add it in to the worship of the church. Every scripture I have posted previously says to sing. If we were supposed to use instruments then we would have that example in all the letters to the churches in the different cities, Corinth, Galatia, Philippi. None of those letters mention it. If you truly study it, you will see. 1 Thes 5:21

@KimandMatt1 it never says to use the internet, to use a phone, or to drive a car but i bet you do those things what you are doing is being a legalist .and Jesus condemned it. you say that in all your scriptures that it never says to play an instrument but it does say to sing Psalms; Psalms says through out the whole book says that they are to be played with instruments.

@BatmanUncharted I interviewed the band and I mentioned the Youtube arguments. Most of the members are Christians, but they try to keep religion and music separate because "at the end of the day, this is our career." Hope that helps with the discussions!

You do realize that Jesus meant there should be no priority in your life other than him right? If Jesus was telling us to literally hate your family and leave your friends, that would contradict 2 commandments. 1. honor your father and mother, 2, love everyone as you love yourself. And what happens if the cancer patient is healed when the medical treatments fail? Which happens. And why would God make a TV turn on if i used the lightswitch?

This is for anyone who believes in a God, or any other deity. This challenge should end any belief in a religion. Unless of course, your close minded. Take a college level Chemistry 2 test, or Calculus 2-B test with no multiple choice. Just short response questions. But the actual challenge is you cannot study for it. Just pray to your deity that he will guide you through the test and pass. Do this for 5 days before you take the test. After the results, just take time and think about it.

Just because someone doesn't look up to God doesn't mean he's shutting himself from Him. Each has their own perception to the world and all are loved by God. I'm sure atheists who are more Christian than the Christians are the real Christians.

Cities is hands down my favourite Anberlin album; it just feels the most grown up, the most matured. I'm an atheist, but that doesn't keep me from liking them. In fact, I love how they leave enough room open for multiple interpretations as opposed to singing "Jesus is great". It actually has lyrical depth, and not enough bands these days do.

When i thought i had found a new band i listened to like seven of their songs which i cant name because i cant remember all of them but anyways seven of their songs and i was like wait i do know this band because i used to listen to like rock and alternative rock and stuff close to this genre. But now i listen to Alternative, some alternative rock, and Techno, and a teeny weeny bit of post hardcore. IT SHARDCORE haha :} I love this band and i live for music 4 evar
