  • LOL, storm trooper talking at 1:56

  • nice landing

  • Something seems edited here...

  • that "bang" at :19 is the landing gear going down. that was a nice landing, but due to the amount of gear on the A380 the landing sounded very loud. great vid!

  • That will do it! I have experienced a hard landing at JFK in october 2008. Did not like the landing but we came to a rapid stop!

  • at 0:19 you had a heart attack, hahahha.

    Nice video!

  • what seat were you in?

  • d bang at 0:19 seconds waz due to lowering of landing gear..datz very common on a380's

    n btw excellent video..

  • wooh! they came in so smooth but...........bammm! on landing.....nice video though

  • the bigger they are the harder they fall

  • The captain was like..."FUCK YOUR SPINES, TAKE THAT!"

  • thats what every landing is like ive been on 5 or 6 planes and they all landed like that i flew from michigan to florida.

  • A HARD LANDING ........ / TOUCH DOWN means.

Dropping down the plane from over 10 feet with high vertical speed due loss of uplift.

May be the fellow was sitting very near to the main gear and so he had the feeling due hydraulical effects; but only the feeling!

The touch down was standard and OK!

  • Does anyone know what highway will that be at 2:52. Thanks!!!!!!

  • I think that clank on final has to do with landing gear doors.

  • Hard landing? That was nuthin!

  • That was actually brilliant landing, but it feel like a bumpy landing.

  • person:did we land lol

guy: no we hit a bird duh we landed lol

  • omg

  • wasnt that the landing gear coming out at 0:19 ??

  • It was a good landing, and about the bang while extend the flap sometimes are happen due to a big flap with it's significant temperature change to the mechanical parts.

But it was a perfect landing for the big bird!

  • @fredriktm The bang is comming from the landing gear mate. Takes pretty much to lock the gear when in position

  • @fredriktm Please explain why temperature causes a rough landing to this 2000+ hour pilot?

  • @fredriktm That bang would probably make me poo myself

  • Several A380 wing spans have cracks started to show up!

I still feel safer w/ good old 747 w/ 50yrs of best safety record in aviation history.

  • @JaneSanFrancisco I AM NOT SURPRISED HE WAY THEY LAND THEM you dont see many good landings watching these video's,I bet any money the first time one crashes they will put it down to pilot error.

  • that was the gear, then you have the flap motors noise. that was not a VERY hard landing you moron, that was a firm landing, you have to put the aircraft on the ground on the touchdown zone, you dont want to float and go off the end of the runway. before you make stupid remarks rather do some research like ask a pilot, hopefully you are not a pilot..

  • @tonyalves64 umadbro?

  • what was that noise? like if you heard it

  • Boeing 747 is the Queen of the sky and the A380 is the Pregnant Queen of the Sky

  • Now we know where the wing cracks are from.

  • i rather listen to my own fire engine squad than that flaps noise

  • Each aircraft Air Bas bad

  • The loud bang was probably the landing gear. Were you expecting to do a belly landing?

  • I love how the Air France piolot says landing in one minute

  • this plane fuck to pilot !

  • @alper035 what?

  • @MisterSunson Wrong,Wrong and wrong the 747 is 40 years old and has had it's fair share of problems the cracks were in bolts all it meant was them being checked mire often...Boeing found cracks on the 787 months after delivery the 767 cracks in the engine mounts the 737 and 757 are well known for fuselage cracks

  • Air France should replace all the pilots with new experienced ones.

  • Cracks on wing spans beginning to appear in several A380. No wonder.

I personally feel safer on 747 w/ 50 yrs safety record.

  • @MisterSunson the cracks were found on the wing rib, not the entire wing span. When an aircraft is newly released, you should expect minor issues, like the 747 had with its cargo doors, which caused United Air 811 to explosive decompression. The Boeing 747 idea was also initially thought to cause 'catastrophic' accidents, and it has indeed, in some cases done that. So rather than criticizing, we should focus on what engineers can do to rectify those mistakes and make flight safer than before.

  • All the flaps sound of the a380 are the same :)

  • Like if the next video you saw was Old Man dies on camera

  • Boeing 747 is the Queen of the sky, and A380 is the king of the sky :)

  • @hem2mars But when the new 747-800NG is out it a new king is born ! - It's bigger than the 380 ;)

  • @hem2mars no the Antonov AN225 ist the king of te sky

  • @MultiXDmen Nope, the Antonov is simply the Emperor

  • @hem2mars Is their baby the An-225?

  • @hem2mars i consider it to be the other way around

  • @hem2mars and what about Concorde?

  • Seems to be pretty much standard A380 landing style. It's like they try to make a half hearted attempt flair the things a little, but usually just give up on finessing the behemoths and just slam 'em into the runway.

  • Very heavy plane.

  • That looked like a good landing but sounded hard

  • WTF with this plane, you don't hear nothing of the engines , just a light sound like the wind! but when flaps are being expanded , you think you're hearing the landing gears going down!!!

  • trem de pouso baixado exatamente aos 42 segundos do vídeo.

  • He was comming a bitt faster, plus the weight was another issue. The 380 is not a good plane. 747-8 is far more superior.

  • @aky19832001 invalid argument. try again.

  • @AviationEnthusiastic You have no proof falsifying my statement, if you have knowledge of flying commercial airliner, then I stand to be corrected. If you do or know something post it, otherwise, your statement is invalid

  • @aky19832001 So why the B747-8i has only 31 orders ? 180 including the freighter version ? Please try again later...

  • @fernousdu972 Epic failure. Do your research son. Orders and confirmed orders are different, airbus declared the orders for the fiscal year, as beoing as in the process of 787 and completing previous orders. Airbus never gave out the planes they declared because a few corps cancled orders.

  • @aky19832001 Negative. You just have to compare before replying: B747-8I: Lufthansa (20), Korean Air (5), Transaero (4) and Arik Air (2)... while the A380 has 259 CONFIRMED orders.

  • @fernousdu972 Thank you. Then I stand to be corrected, I was basing my information based on an article in wall street, a few weeks ago.

  • i have herd that same sound on 5 vid when they bring flaps down y is that air bus you so good wtf is that sound or do you need to kill before you lok at it

  • Oh yeah less noise... nnniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and the flaps are down -___-

  • Singapore Airlines HAS THE BEST PILOTS

  • Comment removed

  • What was the bang at 0:19?

  • @dskxalive

    that was the landing gear

  • Normal landing.. Landing firm and getting the mains planted to get maximum breaking is the only way to get rid of all the inertia this thing has...

  • we had worse on one in australia

  • It's a normal landing for the A380. There was enough flare, he didn't retard at 50, and for gods sake he did not underestimate the runway length at JFK. For one, this is a regular AF route and it's likely that the pilots have been there before, and two they have charts for the airport, and no way in hell he would underestimate the runway length. The A380 tends to land harder than the other planes, because of it's massive weight, and some other factors. Please do not talk BS.

  • was that a hard landing? or did i just paasstt oouutt?

  • OUCH

  • aiunda like A TIRE BURST

  • He didn't give enough power, on landing, he may have set idle at 50 feet and may have underestimated the runway leghten. Although JFK has a pretty large runway.

  • @aky19832001 I'm sorry to tell you, but that's just not true. Pilots are pretty familiar with the runways, even if they have never flown to JFK, which is highly unlikely, so there is no way they would "underestimate the runway length". It's a normal landing for an A380.

  • Airbus in general tends to be nosier in terms of parts operating and internal componantest making all sorts of odd noises. I've been flying for 20 about 7-12 a year years and You can blind me at this and I would be able to differentiate between a Boeing and airbus simply from the noise and the way certain things operate. A 30 year old 747 made less noise when the flaps extended and retracted and things were solidly held in place.

  • "Ladies and gentlemen, the hard landing was not the Captain's fault, it was the asphalt....welcome to JFK and have a nice day..."

  • lack of flare

  • fast ladning adn ive never heard that loud noise even for gear on this plane idk just minor

  • either this is why the wings crack or they just can't support the weight

  • I think everyone was in shock upon landing...it was so quiet!

  • probs there reason why they have started getting cracks on the wings... :/ haha

  • Another normal landing.

  • the plane farted.

  • its amazing how we as in humans can make machines like this

  • @B4MVFan409 without the ancient aliens it would never have been possible to today

  • Seems pretty standard to me.

  • Big bang = Landing gear I think :)

  • Sin ninguna duda, el ruido semejante a un golpe corresponde a la salida del tren de aterrizaje, es elemental.

  • Ouch!!!

  • fuckin stupid , he should have slow down the speed and the descent rate.....

  • Seriously, we see people complaining about how bad a pilot is in landing the plane, when those complainers dont even know how to fly one. you should be happy that you are able to walk of the plane man. if not shut up and fly your own plane to where u want to go.

  • @dinohoo ......I agree these people that judge whether a pilot is good or not on the basis of a landing seen out a window on youtube are losers.

  • @Aussiephil99 cheers dude! but dont say that they are losers, we say they are not in a clear state of mind and lack understanding in this faction :)

  • @Aussiephil99 exactly. i saying this because im aiming to be a pilot in 3 year's time, and i hate to see this professional occupation insulted by losers.

  • Qu'est-ce qu'il est silencieux, c'est dingue !

  • yes the french pilots take it rough...not once have i had a smooth landing with them. The german however...ABSOLUTLEY SUPERB landing skills.

  • another 4:36 of my life I won't get back....

  • The a380 always has a hard landing but it wakes you up if you had a 16 hour long flight.

  • the french do like it hard!

  • i love boeing! airbus...your alright..lol i just hate the engine sound! on the a319 anyways

  • WHAT JUNK THAT PLANE IS , F SCAREBUS

  • Landing:Gears i hav a hard life

    Tyres:AWWWW MY FUCKING FACE!!!!!

  • go to 2:45 and dont waste ur time

  • Sad!! This would not have happened with PAL. PAL pilots are the best!!!

  • I've flown the A380, and there was a lot of noise when I landed in it too (Frankfurt, Lufthansa). I think the landing was pretty good, it's just the size of the massive plane that makes it feel harder than what it really is.

  • what a beast

  • The "loud bang" at 0:19 was just the sound of the landing gear dropping into place and the MLG doors slamming shut.

  • it is not hard landing at all. actually it is very good landing... the camera was touching to the window glass trim and it was shaking....

  • Passengers... sometimes are a bit stupid... sorry, but I'm pilot, and this landing was not hard at all... obviously, you dont know what's a hard landing is lol. A plane can support 600 feet/min on impact. Believe a hard landing, you would feel hurt in your back, and many luggage from compartment would drop. And the plane would go directly to the maintenance for a check. (landing gear and airframe ) PLease stop writing stupid things, go back to school to study, physics, newton etc...

  • @Bugy34 it's not hard for you because you're a pilot, but for who don't fly too much like passengers or who have fear of planes, they will find it hard, it's like a bad surprise for them!

  • The touchdown (3:00 minutes) is a bit rough.

  • The bang at 0:19 is the landing gear deployment followed by full flap extension. Nothing abnormal!

  • 3:02 Welcome at JFK !!!

  • I heard that airports had to build larger runways for this plane ... then what happens in an emergency landing??

  • @alSation81 You're simply wrong, Airbus a380 needs less runway than the B747 (-200,-300-400....) to take off and land. So any airport that is able to operate with a 747 can operate with the A380

B747-400 Distance: 3.018 m of runway to take off (in MTOW)

A380-800 Distance: 2.750 m of runway to take off (in MTOW)

  • @ll01026 That's just not true. Can you please don't say shit for stuff you obviously know rats about. An entire airport does not consist only from the runway, There are taxiways, there is a tarmac, terminal, airport services, emergency services and so on. There are plenty of airports which can service the 747 just fine, but are not even close to the requirements to service a 380.

  • @ceco150495 Yeah, that's true, I've failed saying that any airport is able to operate a a380 but i was saying it in therms of runway necessary to take off, I just didn't think about other things to say that, you're totally true, but in addition with what i have said before, it's not necessary to build larger runways

  • that i think wars flap or landing gear

  • what seat were you in?

  • 3:00 ladies and gentleman dont worry, we jus landed os a small land mine.

  • OMG, i would said i will never travel again!!

  • Normal landing, in a massive, big ass plane...the microphone is probably too sensitive...

  • Its seems like most A380 land hard. Thats proabably because they are too heavy

  • what's so hard about this?

  • MADONNA : " Now thats how i wanna be banged! "

  • skip to 3:00 for action

  • @simotani 737.

  • @simotani It's not an airbus 340. It's a cessna.

  • too big to land smoothly?

  • I believe that was the gear coming down

  • I think this is one of the most difficult airplanes to land.

  • the big bang sound at 0:19 should be the landing gear doors opening.

  • Flap sound on A A380 is always loud i was also on this aircraft AF0006 january7 2011.

Landing is hard the flight i was on 2 woman pilots control plane lol but they did good job with landing was soft and smoot breaking.

  • αρχοντας!

  • that loud sounds it's just probably the landing gear

  • @maticolaiz

Il n'y a rien d'anormal ! je vois pas ou il y a eu un problème ? De belles images néanmoins et heureusement !

  • Comment removed

  • i dunno. this airplane seems just too big for its own good. maybe we don't need such big airplanes

  • @drusha1 We do, and in future even more than now.

  • @drusha1 Maybe we don't need die hard boeing fans that only care about 747's.

  • 2:53 must be AWESOME to do planespotting from that road!!! :D

  • @lelekoJumboJet in my country a road passes right behind the runway threshold. planes pass 50 or 60 feet over your head ;)

  • "Please remain in your seat until the captain has turned off the seat belt sign ... and pick up your dentures".

  • I think he flared too much and then the aircraft slowed down still in the air and then stalled on the runway

  • You almost caused a crash landing stupid!

Which part of "TURN OFF ALL ELECTRONIC DEVICES" DON'T PEOPLE UNDERSTAND!!!

  • @daTERRORIZER That has nothing to do with how the plane flies. Can give mild static over the radio when talking to ATC. Don't have a heart attack there, big guy.

  • @daTERRORIZER Lol retard youtube is full of videos recorded from cockpit by pilots and other crew members. Only electronic devices that transmit signal such as phones can possibly harm airplanes systems, cameras and others like that can do nothing. They are just forbidden because in modern world there is so many different devices that it would be hard to flight attendants to find out which one is forbidden and which one is not.

  • @daTERRORIZER a camera isnt going to have an effect on a plane by electronics they mean no phones, computers, or any other devices that uses radio waves cuz THOSE will disrupt the communications with the plane and tower camera dont have an effect

  • aviation just amazes me, all those surfaces work so well.

  • seems much faster than other smaller planes when it comes to landing?

  • that was a HORRIBLE landing

  • @hiphoplegend1 That was a great landing. Everyone walked away from the aircraft and it was used again that same day.

  • @OneSkiWonder that was a shitty landing...my balls would have been in major pain after a landing like that...I would have sued!

  • @hiphoplegend1 And you would have lost. Unless they do something like crashing the plane due to pilot error, you'll have a nearly impossible chance of winning a lawsuit. Until you've tried to land a large aircraft a few thousand times, don't complain about the way they put you on the ground. Unless they kill you, then you have reason to complain.

  • @hiphoplegend1 Suing them because they took 250 tons with maybe 500 passengers safely to the gate??LOL... you would have been broke after that suing :P LOL

  • @ollo1982 no I would have been paid lovely and my balls would have been feeling much better upon hearing the news!

  • @hiphoplegend1 Great fantasy man :P

  • @ollo1982 great reality man

  • @hiphoplegend1 ahh grow up... you wouldnt get anywere with suing Air France for landing a 250 ton aircraft a bit hard... use your head... lol

  • @ollo1982 you use your head...as a matter of fact go get some head...you might feel better, cause your a tight ass bitch right now....stop trying to tell me what I can and can't do dipstick.....

  • All its normal !!!!

    Not problem landing

  • The noise is the landing gear door closing after the gear is down.
