Anybody know if there is a company that makes a strap retracter that might fit that little stabilizer cord? If you are running and have to whip that thing around you, that strap looks like it would be just perfect for getting caught up on something.
If you want to put the back in front of you, you hold the handle and push the backpack to your stomach. Is very useful if you keep your gun in the bag and you have to react quickly
@FlyingPancreas LOL.. If you're using it dual purpose like a range bag, I would go with the larger one, the Kodiak. There isn't much room for ear muffs and ammo in the Sitka. Thanks for watching
Thanks for posting! I ordered a sitka gearslinger today. I am excited to get this bag. I have been wanting it for quite a while now. I have watched your review a couple of times now. Thanks again!
Great video and all the information I needed on which bag of this size and style I would need for certain security details I do. This bag I can place on my lap during travel on details while in vehicles and will hold extra mags, food, water and everthing else needed for short details. Thank you !
Great video, I was looking for the correct bag for certain security details I do that require me to carry everthing in one bag and may need it to sit on my lap while traveling in vehicles. I can pack extra mags, food and water along with anything else needed for a detail. Thank you.
@Conversus Thank you very much!! A netbook fits fine, but regular sized laptops won't fit. You'd have to go with the Kodiak for a full size laptop. Thanks for watching
@MrSecuritydave Thank you. I would use something like the M5 or M2 Waistpack for a camera or cell phones, then the Medium Cell Phone Pouch for a GPS. Also, I like the small GP pouches for matches, compass, firestarter, ect..
This is probably the best, most informative review of the Sitka. Most of the other reviews have terrible lighting, are blurry, or aren't as thorough in covering all the features of this awesome gearslinger. Five stars and a subscribe on an excellent review.
Great video review. I am about to order one of these for myself. The thoroughness of the review is really appreciated. Nice choice on the P226 for your carry gun.
Another great review man. Keep it up. I just wish I had more of a disposable income, with 7 month old it's a little tough. Do you think you could do a review or a vid, kind of like a follow up to your what's in my bugout bag video. I would really like to know how much all of tha stuff is and how long it took you to get it all? Thanks man keep up the great videos. I think I might start some myself. :)
Thanks again EXT.. do you want a follow up on this pack, or the BOB? I can tell you it's month if not years worth of collecting this stuff.. Good luck with the baby, and lets start seeing some vids.. Looking foward to them
I currently have the Colossus Jumbo Versa Pack for a DSLR camera and EDC but it's getting crowded with an extra lens and "stuff". You have reviewed the Monsoon and this Sitka. I'm looking at them both very close. Which is your favorite? Why and which would be best for a camera/day pack/EDC? Is there a bag that would be better than eiher of these?
Between the Monsoon and the Sitka, I prefer the Sitka for everyday carry with "stuff".. I think it would be a better choice for a camera also, due to the design of bringing it around to the front. It's also more comfortable to wear all day than the Monsoon. Good luck on your choice.
How is the weight distribution feel with only having one strap? Do you feel that it puts too much weight on one place or is it distributed pretty evenly and comfortable?
The distribution on this gearslinger is awesome! I've carried around 13-15lbs in it all day and never had a problem with the weight feeling like it's on one shoulder
given to you by maxpedition? or gifts from friends and family? i see so many reviews on youtube for maxpedition i am beginning to wonder if they pay people or at least give them free gear to do it. dont get me wrong, I love their stuff and if they have a user review program like that, good for them.
